Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi #3 of 5 tells the story of Nomi Sunrider and her journey to becoming a Jedi Knight. The story starts off rather happily as Nomi and her husband travel to meet his Jedi instructor Master Thon. Sadly her husband is murdered and she is left to save herself and her child as well as continue her journey to see Master Thon. A well written story that flows nicely and culminates in quite a surprise. The artwork is nothing fancy, but light and fitting the story's mood. I really liked this as it caught my attention from start to finish.
Nomi Sunrider is my new favorite Jedi woman! I instantly grieved for her and cheered the avenging widow on when she protected her daughter from the Hutt thugs with the lightsaber of her murdered husband.
I appreciated the Vima link to the Dark Empire comics and Jedi Search; it's thrilling to behold all the connections the stories of the EU have with each other.
I look forward to seeing how Nomi balances motherhood with her Jedi training. I want to know more about Master Thon! I was stunned by the Yoda-like introduction the character had at the end of this volume!
Phenomenal story! This should be made into a movie! I can’t believe that this came out before the prequels. It’s a great story with. I think Nomi Sunrider is my new favorite Jedi.
