The original fairy tales are always so dark. Interesting how every culture has the same types of stories but told in different ways.

The illustrations were usually nice and there's a nice selection of stories, but the book has a bad habit of also cutting out parts of longer stories and pretending they're whole. Ex. In its telling of The Little Mermaid, it only tells the part from the mermaid entering the sea witch's layer to the part where she's leaving it.

Kind of a lot of grammar mistakes and weird versions of fairy tales. Read this for my classes lol
