1 'What did I just read???' Star

I have no idea how to describe what I just read. I can honestly say that this was one of the most confusing books I have ever read and I'm still sitting here trying to figure some shit out about this story. I'm left with a lot of questions and it's probably going to bug me the rest of the night.

This book is described as being dark - and it is that - but some of the dark stuff just went way too far. I can handle some pretty fucked up stories, but when I get darkness with little or no explanation, I don't like that. So many scenes in this book were very vague and would say "he hurt me, - he hurt me all night" but they never had anything more descriptive then that. So how am I supposed to know what the hell is going on?!?

Then it seemed like sometimes the time would skip forward...but then back? We heard of Avery at the funeral (when I didn't even know that person had died) and then the next chapter was when Avery found out about the death. Seriously, what??? There was nothing to point out clearly how much time was skipping or even that there was a little time jump. After finishing this story I feel like an idiot because I couldn't understand what was happening and why. Maybe I'm missing something and just don't know it???

I have never DNF'ed a book before but about ten percent into this I was already seriously contemplating it. I told myself that if a certain character turned out out to be the Hero (Anti-hero?) that I would. But I ended up forcing myself to continue and yet I still can't really say who the Hero was. The person who did become closest to Avery we never really knew anything about. Not even his real name! And he was supposedly helping Avery deal with some of her issues (and succeeding) yet we saw none of that!

And his "helping" was more like an abusive relationship than anything else! I've read some asshole characters before, but this was downright wrong and there was no reason for it. Or maybe there was and I just wasn't shown enough of the "helping" to understand what the point of those punishments were.

Also the writing just was not for me and confused me even more. Example:
"I know I have to kill him tonight, I need to kill him so I can stop feeling everything he was the one who started the feeling if I kill him they will go away."

Punctuation, anyone???

Or
"I'm sweated to you. All stuck, gross yes get up go and open a window."

Overall, not the book for me. I've heard that the previous books by this author should be read before this one, even though it doesn't group them as a series, so maybe that was my problem. I wanted to give up early into the book, but I actually am glad that I stuck around and read more since I don't like to judge a book without reading all of it. I still encourage anyone that is interested to read this book and hope it will turn out better for you.

I feel the need to issue a warning about this book: before you start reading it, make sure you have a stuffed penguin in hand and a bunch of kitten videos on Youtube ready to go, because trust me, you’re going to need them.

This is an extremely difficult review to write because I don’t want to give anything about the story away (it’s really best to go into this dark journey blind) but also because I don’t quite have a handle on all my feelings regarding this book. The whole thing left me feeling unbalanced, like I myself was caught inside a dark black hole. The book is told from multiple POV’s and under the assault of new revelations, dark secrets and desires revealed, the timeline skipping back and forth between present, past and future and some things being only alluded to while others are explicitly described it all added to the surreal feel of the writing.

Avery is an outstanding character and I loved that the author took on such a seemingly irredeemable female heroine. She’s cold, unfeeling, promiscuous, violent, sadistic and filled with hatred. She readily admits to having zero feelings or empathy and that it makes her a monster. I adored her. This book is not for everyone, it IS extremely dark but it is also very unique and the writing was brilliant. If you like teetering on the edge of sanity and if you like your books making you uncomfortable and pushing your boundaries, I would definitely recommend reading this one.

Please note that this book can be read as a standalone but I do suggest reading the first two books in the Colour Series first. If you have already read the first two books in the series, you may know what to expect but Black Hole Heart is the perfect conclusion to the series with a brilliant culmination of effect and nurture vs nature comes to a head with the young Avery.

Wow, this is one book which I won't soon forget. While I appreciate that it can be read as a standalone, I strongly suggest you read "Color My Ugly" and "Monochrome My Madness" first. I found myself constantly wanting to know more about the secondary characters. What happened to them in their past? Why do they behave the way they do? What makes them tick?...I will definitely be reading the other two books.....

. . . Yup, I'm hooked!!!

The story is centered around the heroine... Avery Spillane-Leahy is the only child of two ruthless killers. She's the criminal prodigy of the most powerful kingpin in modern times. Her outward appearance is flawless but on the inside she's not quite so perfect, (Which is why the heroine is a total bad ass, in my book!!). She doesn't do hearts and flowers..nor is she the love'em and leave'em type. Nah, she's more of a fuck them and kill them type of chick.

This heroine has so many different men in her life, Im slightly jealous and Intrigued!!!

You want to know more about them, don't you?

Mrs Giannoccaro spun a tale full of twist, turns, wtf moments, and Sizzling Hot Sex. This story had just the right amount of steam to make me a reader squirm a time or two...but not so many that it overshadows the main story.

Just a little FYI, I unintentionally read this book in one sitting so make sure you have a few hours to spare.

A incredible end to an epic beginning!! An unpredictable, emotional rollercoaster ride.

My Black Hole Heart can be read as a standalone, but I recommend reading Colour My Ugly and Monochrome My Madness before you dive into this. All three books are interconnected standalones. Avery is the prodigy of two of the most dangerous men in South Africa. Diamonds, Human Trade, it's all bad where they come from. Does she have what it takes to rule the underground, or will she find light in the dark?

Dark Themes - May be uncomfortable for some.
Ashleigh Giannoccaro doesn't hold back, she writes the villains with no regard for your feelings, she likes to see your tears, she likes to watch your heart shatter. And I love every single bit.

"I am a killer. I have been since I was fifteen. My young girl hands curled around the handle of a knife as I filleted a man, his screams etched into my mind forever."

I was truly intrigued to find out how Ashleigh was going to pull off a female villain. She pulls no punches when it comes to dark men. Avery was no different. The trials, the tragedies have left her detached, void of feelings. I had no idea how this book would play out. If you've read Ashleigh Giannoccaro before... Well, a lot of people die. I don't like it, but I'm just another victim, just like her characters, I can't stop reading. It seemed Avery danced with the devil one too many times, I wondered if there was any hope. Will the dark legacy continue?

I could go on and on, and write a novella about this book. But I'll let you unravel the madness on your own.

Definitely an out of the box read. My Black Hole Heart lived up to its dark, no hold barred, gritty nature, and was pretty brutal and alarming-- the way the characters talked about the need for blood spillage, murder, rape, and other ruthless themes.

I should warn you readers that this book is not for everyone. The first paragraph alone, I kept asking myself, “what did I get myself into?” and as things progressed, it kept diving into unseen twists and turns I did not see coming.

Then again, if you’re already familiar with this series, to which I am not, this should probably be nothing new to you. For me, going into this blind, and not being aware that this is the third book in the Colour Series, I couldn’t help but feel that I was missing something or maybe some concepts and info from the previous two books. I mean, you can indeed read this alone and be completely fine, but I really adhere against it. Read Colour My Ugly and Monochrome My Madness first. I think you’ll get the full experience, whereas, I felt I got halve of it.

That’s not saying that I felt it took away from my enjoyment of MBHH. It didn’t. I would say to those reading this, to prepare themselves. It’s certainly a controversial read with an anti-heroine who’s literally a blank slate of emotion and is a cold blooded assassin draped in sheep’s clothing. For reals. She’s as beautiful as she is deadly. Kind of reminded me of a black widow. Haha.

I won’t divulge anything about the plot or characters, but, in the realm where crime is golden, lies and deceit are a must, and love and passion mean sudden death… One woman holds the key to the fate and destruction of a family legacy comprised in blood, chaos, and savagery.

Brace yourselves, ladies and gents!!

I don't want to rate this a DNF, but I really didn't finish this book. I just read up to 10% and realized is just too depressing for a December read. Maybe I will come back when I'm in the mood for it.

Not only it was dark, the overall tone of the book is like watching some underground indie cult film. The heroine is the heir of a crime family and brought up to be just like her father, an assassin. She is portray as a villain, a cold blooded killer and also a cold blooded fucker. In the first chapter alone, I read about how she prey on innocent young men, satisfied her sexual urges and killed them. Then she proceed to call up the cleaners.

Like I've done before I read this book without reading all the previous books. This can be read as a standalone but other readers are suggesting you read the whole series in order and I totally agree as this is a fantastic series.

I'm not going to say anything about the storyline. I think the synopsis gives you enough to whet your appetite. In this review all I'm gonna give you is how I felt about this book.

This was an amazing read that I had to read in one sitting. I had heard that this book was dark but I didn't expect how is truly love this authors darkness. I felt as if I was on a wonderful dark roller coaster.

Can you see how much I loved this story?? I'm walking on the warped dark side and loving it.

I'm kinda glad I read this book without reading book two (yes I messed up in the sequence lol) as it now gives me an excuse to go back and read the full series in order.
If your looking for a brilliantly written dark story then I highly recommend you read this gem.

5 STARS is not enough for me to rate this book. I was stunned and utterly shocked right from the beginning. I already have my fair share of dark stories but this one is so different. So dark and twisted but will make you so much invested because that adrenaline rush was just too much and you can't just stop or pause no matter how disturbing and wicked the scenes were.

"I am a killer. I have been since I was fifteen. My young girl hands curled around the handle of a knife as I filleted a man, his screams are etched into my mind forever. Sticky blood coated my fingers with every slice I made through his flesh. I knew long before that what life had in wait for me, so never I tried to change it. I was born to be a killer. I didn't choose it, it chose me."

The story started with Avery, daughter of an assassin and a murderer and was raised by an "uncle" who is the kingpin of a criminal empire.Flawless outside but flawed inside, with a black hole heart that beats nothing but the blood of others. She considered herself as worse than a monster because unlike monster, she can't feel. She's nothing but an empty space void of anything other than the rules she was raised to obey,

"If you love something, kill it. Feelings have no place in our world, if you feel something you can be damn sure you will pay for it in pain and suffering."

I don't know what to say other than you need to read it yourself. Because even if I will spoil or relay everything I have read, it's not gonna give justice to the book the way it deserves. I have difficulty of expounding what's in the book except that I was in awe with how it was written. It is not just incredible but fantastic as well. The characters were portrayed well. A heroine-villain at that. I haven't even thought if she will someday finally can have her HEA. It's understated if I say it's dark and twisted. Much more understated when I say I felt a roller coaster of emotion reading the book.

In the course of the story what was actually tattooed in my mind that I know I will never forget are these lines that will be forever etched within me.

"When you find the person whose demons can dance with your monster, your black hole heart will know it, because there will be no room for anything else. If you can live without them for even a minute, then you haven't found the one."

Kudos to you Ms. A. Giannoccaro!
It was an epic book!!!

After last book from Colour series finally published, I'm not sure feel relieved or lost. Although Ash has been successfully challenged me to break all my reading limits through this dark romance series, I must admit that My Black hole Heart has the most rough journey than the previous books. I could enjoy it when I can stop thinking and questioning every detail of its aspects, and began to follow where Ash tried to lead me.

I had experience with Ash’ s twisted and complicated characters, but it wasn’t prepared me to meet Avery. This girl is the extreme product from nurtured wrong parenting and three mafia families’ feud. Avery had numbness and loss of empathy with humans and everything around her. She was intelligent, melancholic, and sadistic. Honestly, she’s difficult to understand.

This story has slow paced and unusual multiple POV. We will see the mindset of every character that appears in this book which unfortunately have similarity and filled with twisted mind. I hope Ash gives characteristic differences in each narrative according to each character, that would be an interesting thing. It also kept me guessing who’s the main (anti) hero of this book?

Every character will open the "color" and their deepest identity. All inner restlessness, darkest secrets, and plans will be revealed here. Opponents and allies are very difficult to differentiate between the characters that appear in between. The main conflict is the mafia family drama but the twisted surprise never fails to shock me. After I was broken-heart not find love story here, and after all the challenge I faced inward along this series, I thank Ash gave me a beautiful HEA for Avery.

A beautiful ending, full of surprises, epic and emotionally drained. Thanks for this journey Ash ..

BLACK HOLE HEART is the third and final installment in the Colour series. Like it's predecessors, it was still full of grammatical errors yet fortunately, this one didn't contain quite as many. Once again I was able to overlook the editing issues because I was so compelled to find out what would happen to the characters I had grown to know and love. Although the main characters differ between the three books, there are quite a few redundancies that a good editor would have caught and omitted (for example, in each book the main characters refer to, "ghosts" quite often). Because of this, I wonder if I might have enjoyed this book more if I had waited to read it several months or maybe even a year after reading the other books? Another reason I didn't give this book 5 stars was that there were a few times that I had to re-read sections because things became a tad convoluted. Also, once I reached the end of the third and final book, I was disappointed by the ending what I felt was a bit rushed and anti-climactic. Overall though, I still loved this book! Aside from the editing issues, it's damn creative and deliciously twisted!

Avery is the daughter of two killers. She has a black hole for a heart and she is a stone cold killer also. She is a dark heroine but she is also a bad ass and will make you fall in love with her.

This is a dark twisted read the captured me from the first page and continued to hold my attention to the very end. You will feel all of the pain, torment, and a few glimpses of happiness as you turn each page.

There is plenty of murder, suspense, corruption, and action in every chapter. Follow a family that only thinks of themselves as they try to get ahead in the world. Each character is unique and Ms. Giannoccaro will have you hating and loving each and every one of them.

What will be left of Avery in the end? A gaping hole for a heart or will she begin to feel?

What a Ending to a great series My black hole can be read on it is own but i would recommend you read the first 2 books in this series.

I have to say I loved Avery she is bad ass, but... it is not surprising being as her father and uncle have brought her up and they just happen to be 2 of the most dangerous men in South Africa.

I can’t say much but this book had me from the beginning and it didn’t let go it is one hell of a emotional roller coaster of a ride if you did happen to read the first two books in the series then you really don’t want to miss this one.

Oh my poor, broken, bleeding, open wounded heart, its over, its all the frick frack over now. Due to the aggressive emotional overload the Author portrayed each character to seep into my overly sensitive nature; I cannot in good conscious say I will ever get over my beautiful book boyfriends in each of these clever, thought provoking stories. And trust me, there were MANY!

I wanted to love Avery, and I really did very much but I'm not about to lie to myself or my beloved dark queen. Simply put I was absolutely without a doubt rooting for Harmon all the gawd dang way. I am an ever faithful team dark book boyfriend ho. Callum will always be my one and only and his legacy and smart twisted family scheme of a new generation should have succeeded. Alas in this perfect world there must be way to right the wrong and Avery excelled in this extremely well. So Yay or Nay it worked and all is well, damit!

I highly recommend this emotional, action packed, criminal mastermind, dark influenced, bloody and cleverly twisted series. Each character will leave you breathless and yearning for more. This author is a freaking genius, her writing skills have left me broken and I will be haunted unto the next life with broken pieces of each memorable sadistic and luscious book boyfriend within.

Thank you very much A. Giannoccaro, my favorite series in 2014 and 2015, I believe you better get started on the next 2016 is just around the corner! ;)

MY FIVE BLACK <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 REVIEW

A female villain, I find to be the most intriguing. I loved that this book wasn't all heart and arrows, as life is not accurate in that way. There was a darkness that sucked me in, the first words had me texting a friend "you are going to want to read this, ASAP" who does that from the first few lines? Truth be told I was hooked. I was up until the wee hours of the night, continuing my journey and through all of my emotions. My confession to you all is I have not read the first 2 books (Holds hand up to guard face) and still I was totally enveloped by the characters. While I'm sure the back story is extremely important I read this without feeling completely lost. I felt the characters blackness, her need for her darkness. Her loyalty to become who she must be..

A. Giannoccaro you have a new faithful reader. I now will go back and read the entirety of the series because your writing was was so compelling, spoke to me and I need more of it!

I received this book through Twisted Sisters Book Review Blog to read and review. This was dark in the fact that Avery is a killer. But what my "black hole heart" found was that this was the story that needed to be told to end the series. I wasn't allowed to grieve for Rowan but maybe he was dead since Lauri died and as a parent lacking the ability to love didn't deserve too many tears. Callum comes to an end and I still love his black heart. Eiren was new and a side monster that Avery does finally deal with. Harum is Callum's not to smart brother who gets what he deserves. Mathew is the Dr that Avery learns from. I gave it five stars because it was a tidy ending with an explanation about the beginning and was twisted and unexpected. If your a fan of Colour My Ugly and Monochrome this is a must read for you.

The last book in the Colour series and A.Giannoccaro has delivered a perfect ending 5*++++++++++++

Avery is my kind of woman a real bad ass take no shit type who has trusted and followed in her Uncle Callum's footsteps her whole life whilst her Dad continued to mourn the lost of his wife.

She knew she had a black heart and fed off it, used it to kill her prey and those who crossed her or the family business. However things are never ha them seem and this story reveals past secrets, twists, betrayal and Avery has to fight hard to claw her way through the blackness.

This final book is dark & twisted and for me was the perfect ending to an amazing series.

The 3rd book was just as gripping and brutal as the first 2. Admittedly I didn't like Avery to start but I grew to love her. I found this book slower to read and that was purely because I didn't want it to end. When I started these books they wasn't what I expected but this is the best series I've read in a long while. You will love book 3 as much as 1 and 2. I'm off to read more from this author.

This is the third and final book in the Colour series. This is Avery's story, but is told from multiple POVs. I have to say that I drawn into this book and really enjoyed it, as I have this entire series. This book follows Avery, the daughter of Rowan and Lauri. Avery is all grown up and living her life, but not to the best of her ability. She is careless and reckless, oh and a serial killer. She was raised by Rowan and Callum, which pretty much ruined her for anyone. She was taught at a young age that love was bad, that love will kill you. Between the lack of love she received from her father, and the "If you love something, kill it before it kills you" lecture she received from Callum, Avery was damaged beyond repair. So she indulges in sex every chance she gets because it is the only way she can "feel" anything. After sex, she then kills her partner. She can't help it, it is just in her. She is a monster just like everyone she is surrounded by, and she came to terms with that long ago. She is also the CEO of the "corporation" that Callam has put together. It is everything that Callum envisioned and it is now ready to be passed onto Avery. He has a plan, just as he had since returning to Cape Town. His time is limited and he is determined to make sure the O'Riley name is carried on. I don't want to give too much away because there is so much going on, you have to read it to fully appreciate how this story unfolds. Avery is damaged, and the lies and betrayals that come out only further drag her down. You can tell early on that she is hanging on by a thread, and all it will take is one push to unravel her. She wants everything that she is not allowed to have. She wants nothing to do with the "family" business. She just wants it all to go away. Enter Matthew. He sees that she is in need of help, and he is drawn to her. He wants to help her. They develop a relationship that I just cannot put into words. There is so much that I can't put into words. Reading it is the only way that you will fully understand the beauty of it. As the story goes on, Avery is dealt a lot, from loss to lies to betrayal and everything in between. You get to see her grow and mature and come to terms with her fate. She realizes that the power is her hands, she just has to fight for what she wants. I'm not going to say that it was pretty. Very, very far from it, but I think this book gave her the ending that she deserved. So much is explained, going all the way back to Lauri and Renzo, and I very much appreciated that. I know that Avery did. The friendships and relationships that she forged by the end of the book gave her the one thing that her father and Callum failed to. A family, and love.

Contains all the feels 💜❤💜

"..if you take the time to see through the darkness, you will find the stars shining in it." - Ashleigh Giannoccaro. In the beginning of this book the reader is warned that there are no promises of a happy ending because not all people seek a happily ever after. In truth I came into this book with my heart flayed open and my soul battered and worn from reading the first two books in the series. But I just had to see how it all tied together, another reader said that after this book it'd all make sense, and see what became of the characters I had invested so many reading hours to knowing and loving. May I just say I got so much more than I expected. After reading several books by Ashleigh G. I've come to expect a certain level of storytelling, but this book blew me away. I can't believe I waited this long to read this series!# *kicking myself* By now I am not easily shocked but the twist at the end of this book I honestly never saw coming. Now I see how it all ties together and understand why things had to be the way they are. Light cannot be nurtured in the darkness, and sometimes for life to flourish it needs to feed on death. Meaning sometimes some things have to die to feed life to others. Avery Spillane-Leahy is the last of the black hole children; spawned from murderers and raised by madness to be a heartless killer. But what happens when a flower tries to grow without any light? When Avery is forced to face her own heart by the first, and only, man to make her feel hiw will she react? What happens when she is forced out of her carefully constructed shell of a person? When all the secrets of the past are laid bare and all the monsters slain what will be left for Avery? Can a black hole heart ever truly feel and have light? This book gave me all the feels, and then some, and I will never be the same. This book, hell the whole damn series, is a 5 star top notch read, and if you're a fan of dark reads and broken love then you are in for a real treat and a wild ride.

~*~ Obsessed by Books copy given in exchange for an honest review ~*~

"Our season and reason have passed, but let our lessons not be forgotten. I love you enough to let you go."

The Hummingbird is falling apart at the seems, her "uncle" Callum is dying before her eyes and the control she has exerted over herself and her desires is slipping away with him. Needing to feel, needing to kill and destroy is consuming her sashes struggles to reconcile who she is with what she wants to be. Avery has been raised to be a destroyer of life, the Queen of the Empire built on blood, death and pain. Yet things are spiralling out of control as she needs more than the emptiness...

Matthew, Not Matthew sees the black hole heart that is threatening to consume the beautiful but fragile woman who is more than just the monster she has been moulded to be. His inner calling is to save, to ease the suffering. Knowing who she is and her connections he begins to "treat" her but can he really be the one to save her from herself? He is the Angel of Death hired to save the final shreds of dignity in the face of Death but who is he really and can his demons really dance with her devil and survive?

Black hole heart is a take of nature versus nurture. Of doing what it takes to survive in the cesspool that is humanity. Wealth and power ultimately corrupt the humanity leaving nothing but an ugliness that needs careful management. Callum's plans are brilliantly devious, controlling even from beyond the grave...This is a deliciously dark read that left me feeling awed.

A five star kill what you love read.

WOW !
What an amazing end to what has been one hellacious journey.
In this we get 5 pov's (Avery, Callum, Not Mathew, Harmon and Eiran) and each is as disturbed/disturbing as the others as we catch up with Avery some 20 years later who has in a way followed in her families footsteps and not because she wanted to. She is as black and tainted as the rest of them but there's one difference.....She doesn't want the life they led for herself. She hates it.She doesn't "play nicely" with her "toys"and often has to call on Callum to help her clean up. And then she meets "Not Mathew". He's Callum's Dr who is helping him to deal with what Shannon did to him. She thinks he's just a nobody, and that when she's finished with him she'll be able to move on, but this toy is different, and whereas she usually takes control in the bedroom this isn't the case when she's with him. After there encounter nothing is the same, and the man she thought she loved, (Eiran) despite what he did to her finally meets his end she can't take anymore.
When everyone around her suddenly aren't there she decides she's had enough and leaves but then meets "Not Mathew" and he proceeds to try to help her and fix her, but can someone so broken ever be fixed ? Will he live to tell the tale ??
This really was the best of the series and i loved how things happened in this story. I also loved that we got to find somethings out about Avery's mum, Renzo, Callum and Rowan. To say i was shocked by certain unfoldings would be an understatement.
Brilliant !!

FIRST OF ALL let me say how proud i am to have Ashleigh review for us. I simply fell in love with her first book Colour my ugly. It was the first time i read anything like this and it blew me away. The second book Monochrome my madness was expertly written but a bit dark for my tastes but when Ashleigh said black whole heart was ready for blogs i asked if i could review it and I'm so glad i did as Ash has produced another 5* knock out read.

My black hole heart follows Avery, Rowan and Lauri’s daughter. Avery hasn't had her father’s love as he is tormented by the loss of Lauri. Callum (whose story we see in monochrome my madness) takes Avery under his wing and grooms her to take over when he is gone ( his wife Shannon poisoned him to get cancer and now he is dying) or so it appears. Avery kills every man she has sleeps with except the man who raped and took her virginity Eiran. He made he feel and although she cut the the skin from his bones she let him live. When she meets Callum’s Doctor she knows he is different and she sleeps with him leaving him alive, this upsets Eiran. The girl is a poor tortured soul who knows nothing but death yet is is so beautifully written. Ashleigh can write ! and pretty soon the whole world will sit up and take notice of her work.

After starting this book I decided to check out other reviews because I honestly couldn't remember the blurb on it and I wanted to know exactly what I was getting myself into as the first few chapters were really dark and twisted. I was shocked to read a few negative reviews and felt a little deflated but prepared myself incase those reviews were right. I'm glad to say that to my way of thinking, they were very wrong!

This book is all kinds of f*#ked up, but that's what really drew me in. I got sucked into this world and my heart broke for Avery.

Avery was raised to be exactly who she is so when she finally feels emotions she looses the plot. The things she does are not pretty, infant they are seriously messy and very disturbing, but the author has written it in such a way that you can understand why she does what she does. Yeah I know, it's a pretty cryptic statement, but thats because I'm not going to give the story away :) Anyway, I didn't see the ending happening the way it did and I am so glad that it did end that way. It was exactly what Avery deserved!

Wow, I loved reading My Black Hole Heart. This one is my favorite so far by A. Giannoccaro. There is a warning in the begin about the story being dark, I would definitely take the time to read that and make sure that this book is for you before starting. It's book three in the Colour Series. It can be read as a standalone but I would suggest that you read book one and two first. It felt that it wrapped up the series well because we also get to find out what becomes of Callum and Rowan.

My Black Hole Heart is Avery's story. Avery is the daughter of two killers and was raised by her Uncle Callum, who is the head of a criminal empire. She has been raised to be a killer. I loved Avery. I hadn't excepted to have so many feeling when it came to Avery. The ending was different then I expected but it was perfect. I loved it ever part of this story. It hooked me from the beginning and I didn't put it down until I was done.

A copy was received for a review.

My Black Hole Heart is the 3rd and final book in the Color Series. Even thought it can be read as a standalone, I recommend that you read Color My Ugly and Monochrome My Madness as this will set you up for when you meet Callum and Rowan.

Ashleigh Giannoccaro does not do " light and fluffy", she writes " dark and dirty" and does not hold back, anything goes, so take note of the warnings. They are not to be taken lightly.

Avery is the girl with the black hole heart and does not have compassion for anyone. She was always led to believe that if you love it, kill it, before it kills you. Being raised as a killer, she tries in vain to change. Will she succeed or will she succumb to the pressures of ruling one of the biggest crime syndicates around.

Ashleigh takes you on a roller coaster of emotions with characters that you will love to hate .
I must say that I am hooked with Ashleigh 's dark mind and is a "1 clicked" author.

My Blackhole Heart has been filled and my darkness has been fed!!

"When you find the person whose demons can dance with your monster, your black hole heart will know it, because there will be no room for anything else."

Absolutely brilliant are the words for this book!! It brings characters from the first two books in this series (so should read them in order) and brings the killing legacy of two crime families that was raised to be the perfect monster.

"Find what you love, and let it kill you." Words of advice given to Avery from her mother. But if you don't feel you can't die.

This book is an absolute perfect conclusion to an exceptional masterful series!!! One of my very favorite series!!! A. Giannoccaro never disappoints and always satisfies the readers needs!!

Loved it! Read as a boxed set and here is my review for the whole set:

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this boxed set. You cannot read just one book in this series. It is very dark, one of the darkest I have read. It is not for people who do not like violence and bloodshed for there is a lot of it in these books. There is good storytelling in these books and reminds me of the mafia movies I love to watch, but better because books are always better. My favorite of the set is the first called Colour My Ugly and I was really shocked at the end! Monochrome My Madness is really out there and that is why I enjoyed it so much. My Black Hole Heart was not how I expected to turn out which was another reason why I enjoyed it. This set is not written like many books out there and is very unique. I plan on reading more from Ashleigh Giannoccaro, I found her writing intriguing to read.
