The skeleton found in the last book turns out to be that of a young woman in her late teens or early twenties, who has been dead for twenty years. Now it's up to the police chief John MacDougal to find out who she is and who murdered her. Added to this, Father O'Shawnessy discovers a dead body in his church, Our Lady of the Roses, which now gives John two murders to investigate with his girlfriend Catherine Jewell especially interested in the skeleton of the young girl after the girl's diary was found.
The skeleton turns out to be a young girl and the body was placed in situ about twenty years ago in the sixth installment of the Catherine Jewel, series. In addition, Police chief John MacDougall is looking for the prep who is responsible for the death of Tony's Father who was found in the church. Catherine learns the twins had found the girl's dairy and items she left behind. The learn the girl's name is Cornelia and that she was pregnant. This is a good addition to this series. I highly recommend this book and series.
Well written plot with excellent characterization. The interplay between the characters was both humorous and poignant. Can't wait to see what happens next with Catherine and John as well as Tony and Robin.
