Less than one second: how long it takes for everything to change. The story rewritten. The answers lost. The world turned upside down.

Eden’s life is in tatters. Too many questions. Too many answers she never would have chosen. With no time to think or mourn, she struggles to take control of her fate once again. There’s one thing that Eden has always wanted— find Oscar. One solution— ask for Matt’s help. So begins a frantic journey with high stakes and savage battles. Buoyed by friendship, hardened by experience, Eden fights her way through endless obstacles with the single goal of reuniting her little family.

But does Outpost Three still exist, or have the Sentries destroyed it, along with the last of Eden’s hopes?

I would like to thank the author, Kate Wrath, for providing me with an electronic copy of Elegy, in exchange for an honest review.

Author Kate Wrath dives right in with this exciting addition to the Eden series and readers will not want to miss a single moment. As Eden and Apollon embark on a journey to help a friend and rediscover old connections, their voyage is fraught with heartache, turmoil, and danger. With some of the original characters, as well as new favorites, Elegy is Eden's glimpse of the past and push towards the future. Surprising allies and shocking foes bring an element of suspense to the plot. I have always been fond of a quest novel, with lots of action to keep the plot moving at a fast pace, and Elegy does not disappoint. The author manages to bring the two parts of Eden's life together, her past and her present, seamlessly and in such a way that makes sense. Elegy proves that life can change in an instant, but it is what you do with the cards that you have been dealt that matters.

I strongly recommend reading this series from the beginning, as it is impossible to follow the evolution of Eden's character with the reading of only one book. Her strength and resiliency are admirable, with a maturity that, despite her tender years, is rare. With a shocking twist that I did not see coming, Elegy is a worthwhile read that I definitely recommend.

I was given a free book from the author in exchange for an honest review

This book gave me so much emotions. I cannot even comprehend one feeling from another.

There is so much going on in this book:
1. Loses
2. An adventure worth surviving for
3. Kidnapping
4. Love at first site
5. New bonds
6. Reality
7. Reunions
8. Loses
9. EMOTIONS
10. EMOTIONS
11. EMOTIONS
12. Loses

Kate Wrath has yet again poetically written a master piece. I am so unbelievably grateful that I am among the Street Team, GO Outpost Wrath (name due to change). This journey with Kate Wrath is crazy, hectic, and overwhelming that I keep forgetting reality from Wrath's dystopian world.

"[A]n elegy is a mournful, melancholic or plaintive poem, especially a funeral song or a lament for the dead."---This title is PERFECT.

Ah, what can I say. Kate Wrath has done it again.

Elegy, the 4th book in the E Series is actually better than the last one. For me the pace, the action and the story slowed down a bit in book 3, but here we pick back up again and carry on with the gripping, page-turning story that made books 1 and 2 so brilliant.

I won't spoil anything, but there a few things I didn't see coming in this one, but oh boy do those events get you right in the feels!

I seriously cannot wait for the next book.

Thank you to Kate once again for this book! So happy that I won the competition for a character to be named after me and Kate did a wonderful job of making my dreams come true by taking notice of my love for a certain Apollon :P It's hard to imagine myself with a rocket launcher, but now I don't need to imagine it because it's all down in print! Definitely the best book of the series yet and not just for the introduction of my character but for the amount of times my heart dropped. What happened to Jonas was a massive shock, but it didn't affect me first of all UNTIL Eden received the letter from him - not sure what happened would have worked without that letter. And poor poor Oscar...

I love Kate Wrath's writing. That is what I thought while reading this latest book in the E Series. Throughout the other books I marveled at the complexity of the story and the depth of her characters, (both of which continue to be strong players in this book as well), but in this book I kept thinking about and being gratified by how well-written these books are. Wrath's cadence and rhythm compel readers onward, and her ability to add humor to dark situations is truly one of her strong suits. I love this series and, despite certain sad occurrences in this book, I already can't wait for the next, and the next, and the next. Thanks Kate!

I really love this series for how raw it is. These characters go through so much pain. And not just the 'we'll kill a side character that wasn't really important anyway' kind of pain but actual heartbreaking pain. We finally found out what happened to Oscar. We go back to outpost three and Matt. Gosh I love Matt and Appolon so much. I'm really excited about the next book now~

Love this series!

I was not so patiently awaiting this fourth book in the series as soon as I saw it on Kindle I grabbed it up and immediately started to read, wanting, needing to know what happens to Eden and Jonah. Only a few pages in and Kate Wrath completely breaks my heart! I wanted to throw my Kindle across the room but thinking better of it I decided to read on, I recover and love how the book proceeds. I Love Edens character. She us brave and a little crazy. I cannot wait until the next book!!! This is honestly my favorite series, even if it has left me heartbroken.

I loved it like I knew I would; this fantastic post-apocalyptic tale of survival, loss, determination, strength and love.

Expertly written, this installment of the E series is superb, where we again follow Eden's journey through a gauntlet of trials and emotions.

A fabulous cast of characters and a very real sense of place set this series to the highest level of storytelling - the only problem is having to wait to see what happens next.

This whole series is highly recommended.

Awesome

Kate Wrath is one of my favorite story tellers she has made E come to life. I love a book that when you are reading it its like you become a part of the story. I could not put this book down. This is the 4th book in the series and its just as amazing as the first one. I can't wait for the next book.

This was a longer read for me since there was so much life transition happening at the same time, but boy do I ever love this series. Losing Jonas is hard to ever stomach, but the growth and strength of the relationships between Eden and Apollon, Matt, and West in particular truly carry this story forward. What they overcome when they work together is tragic and beautiful all at the same time. I find this series makes me admire the strength of its characters in the face of a world that is not on their side. The finale of Oscar’s funeral is the perfect closure to this story, and a perfect motivation and lead in the the final book in the series. I’ll be sad to reach its end.

Not the Best

I seriously have to wonder about this series in the long run. How could someone write the prequel to Jason and Lily as the book before this and then ruin everything else in this book? The whining and carryimg on Eden does is ridiculous and obnoxius, so I'm not sure why i keep reading, other then i am not a quitter 🙄 All the side characters are more interesting then the main one and the introduction of new ones keep the story going. Thank goodness there is only one book left, not sure i could keep going on this series.

Good story. Some use of the F-bomb, some violence. Not for those who enjoy a lighter read.

This is the fourth book in Kate Wrath's "EDEN" series. I really liked it by the end and liked where it's going. A lot happens in this book, and I'm not going to spoil anything except to say that it starts with a big, unexpected bang, and moves on from there to give you at least one more big unexpected bang before it's over. On the way it...meanders. At times I was thinking that there was a lot of extraneous stuff in between major plot events. But the major plot events were great payoffs. All were really interesting and fun.

The writing was great, the characters were great, the world-building was great, yada yada (as they say). It's all good, just a little bit longer than I thought it needed to be. At times I just wanted to get OUT of Eden's head because it's confusing in there! But I can't wait to read the series finale. Great job, Ms. Wrath!

If you liked the previous books, you can't go wrong with this one. Great action, great dialogue, great friendships. Ending had me wanting more but was satisfying. It has some shockers, though, and characters do things I hadn't expected. Won't put spoilers here to ruin it. I'm addicted to this series. Not as clean as the Hunger Games, but dare I say it? I love it just as much. Can't wait for next book. Keep them coming, Ms. Wrath.

Again... WOW! I love this series. I won't go into a long review. I have always thought that less is more. All I can say is this is the kind of series that you just can't put down. I am now stuck waiting for the next book. If you haven't yet started this series and you are on the fence, take that leap. You won't be sorry.

To the author, Kate, all I can say is, "Are you finished with the next book yet? How much longer!" LOL

Excellent series

Started reading this series when book 1 was offered free on Kindle. Have since purchased the rest of the series and am eagerly awaiting book 5.

Occasionally I have found the inner dialogue of Eden vs Lily a little tedious but as I get to the end of the book, I know that my overall enjoyment has increased because of it. You get so much more involved in the character and her relationships.

Elegy - E bk4

The book starts out with an unbelievable bang and then the roller coaster ride never ends. I really had a hard time getting past the beginning chapters, I was devastated. I did keep reading though and through all the twists and turns I only come out with one question, will anyone end up happy?

Waiting for book 5!

Can't wait to see how this will play out- the series leaves you sympathetic with the main characters- lots of action and adventure- keeps you coming back. Read her other book "Jason and Lily" to get the background information you will be craving

It just keeps getting better. I should be unhappy the book I thought would bring the denouement didn't. I'm not. I'm just hoping I don't have to wait too long for the one that does.
