Nestor deNeffo, the traitorous black elf intelligence operative of the Nambroc Knives, returns in Candelabra & Things, the seventh and final novella in the Nambroc Sequence, a fantasy series.
Nestor and the rest of the Nambroc Knives have been able to confirm that the treasonous Quildor Burkain is in Hartshire, a city in the Earth Realm. The Nambroc Knives establish Candelabra & Things, a curio shop, as a front for a base of operations to apprehend Burkain. The plans is for the Knives to bring Burkain back to Nambroc, the black elf city in the Nether Realms, to face justice for the treasonous and criminal acts he is accused of committing.
Nestor wants to be the Knife responsible for bringing Burkain back to Nambroc to face justice. Nestor knows if he is able to do that, he would be branded a hero.
He, however, does not want to expose himself to the same fate as Burkain because Nestor has committed his own traitorous and criminal acts such as selling secrets to the enemies of Nambroc, narcotics and illicit trafficking, and murder.
Nestor could be hero if he is able to capture Burkain. If Nestor is not careful and cautious, he could facing justice and answer for his own treasonous and criminal acts. He may very well also be branded a traitor.
