Great descriptions of Wyoming setting. Complex characters who must face adversity to realize they were meant for each other. I applaud the author for her inclusion of a Shoshone character with depth. Structurally, I had a problem with much of the action in the third part being paraphrased.
This book turned out to be quite the saga. A Civil War veteran looking for the man who killed his father, falls in love with the step-daughter of the man who was the murderer. He promises her to another, who will help increase his riches. Many adventures later, there is a happy ever after.
But the explicit sex is quite unnecessary. It is too bad authors think everyone wants to read this stuff when the story is what is really important. I skip over the unnecessary parts.
