DNF@50%.
Three things:
1. This has got to be the most ridiculous story I've ever read my entire life. I can summarise the book as follows (at least up to the point where I DNF-ed it):
2. The writing was barely tolerable, and the dialogue was painful to read through.
3. Everything was just so corny. Please, as if having a place named "Bear Bluff" wasn't horrible enough, the heroine had to be named "Vicky Vixen". Plus, why did the characters have to crack so many bear-related jokes???????????
Sorry, but I'd rather eat my hand than read this. Or watch Donald Trump on CNN. Blech.
Three things:

It was an OK book about shifters and finding the Christmas magic. I thought it was a bit cornet,but not a bad read. Good thing it was part of KU.

Yall! I can't! lol I do love me a little Christmas quickie and Santa Paws was just that. A reindeer who's lost her Christmas Spirit. And a sexy bear who knows instantly she's the mate he's been searching for and he's gonna help her find her way back to Christmas. It was cute. They're fated mates so there's an instant heat and sexy times. Then a race to find Vicky's Christmas spirit and save Christmas. *cue the Christmas warm fuzzies*

All in all, I enjoyed all three novellas. They were slightly simplistic and there were some editing issues, though. If you read them all in one go there's a lot of repetition from one to the next since they all happen at the same time and scenes overlap. But for a steamy shot of Christmas fun...they're an entertaining trio.

This may have been my first story by this author, but I enjoyed it and will be reading the second one soon. Santa Paws is cute with a good-natured bear shifter as the hero and a female shifter (different animal) hiding from her failings as Christmas Eve approaches. The story is sweet and silly at times, and generally light. I found their acceptance of their instant-mate status interesting as they accept their attraction and commitment to each other even as they admit they are strangers.

It was just alright
One of my pet peeves is a book that is stuffed. The book is short enough and then add that it ends at 83% that makes it even shorter.
Now I must say for bein a short book I had to force myself to finish it, it was just always missing something.

My Rating: Between 3 - 3.5 Stars
I thought this story was cute. I liked the characters, main and secondary. Also this was very short at about 75 pages. I enjoyed it enough that I also read the other two books in the series which I will review separately. What I had a bit of trouble with was reading about sex, Santa Claus and Rudolph in the same book, which were all part of the story. NOTE...Santa did not have sex. Let me just make that clear right now. The premise was a bit strange, different.
Dermot is a bear shifter, a paramedic in the small town of Bear Bluff. Dermot deeply longs for a mate. I loved Dermot. He was sexy and sweet. As with nearly all of the shifter stories I have read, there is instalove. This was LITERALLY love at first sight! There was no getting to know each other prior to intimacy, no build up or relationship development. But Dermot was so happy to have found Vicky. His wonderment and excitement endeared me further to him.
Vicky was a shifter as well. A reindeer. I liked her but didn't love her. It was nothing she said or did. I just didn't connect with her as well as I did Dermot. Her relationship to this story was peculiar; not what I expected at all. At one point it was very predictable. But at the same time it was silly enough to be entertaining.
Overall, I liked this book for what it is: a fun, sometimes funny, unrealistic, silly, sexy story.

Vicky is a shifter whose animal form is a reindeer. She runs away to Bear Bluff because she lost something precious to her that she needs. Dermot has lived in Bear Bluff his whole life. He is a paramedic and is used to working the holidays due to his single status. He is ready to meet his mate. This changes when he sights Vicky while working.
This is a fated mates so "love" happens very quickly. I did like the twist regarding Vicky. I liked Dermot, but felt Vicky was too "woe is me" and that made her hard to like.

I think it started off OK a little cringe but ok and just got worse and worse.

A bear, a reindeer and Christmas.
I love Christmas and Christmas romances and while I've come across a couple of really bad ones this year it's not diminished my feelings.
Surely I'm onto a winner with this one how can a book called 'Santa Paws' possibly not be good and if the name alone isn't enough then it's about a bear shifter and a special reindeer who's lost her Christmas spirit.
Dermot is one of three bear shifter brothers, all are down because Christmas signals yet another year without them finding their mates, could this year possibly be different?
Vicky has rented a cabin in Bear Bluff to escape, no one knows where she's gone, she doesn't deserve to be happy this year.
This is, as you'd expect a light quick read it ends at around 75% and it's full of Christmas spirit.

Not the best by her. It got slow a little and I had to skim a little. Vicky was not likable at times. Sorta woe is me kind of attitude. I dunno for a holiday tale it wasn't all that great or sweet or fun. A lot confusing. They got together like hours after meeting and finding out they were mates. It was really too rushed in my opinion. She was a virgin too so I dunno just something was off about the book. Will we get stories about his brothers too? Dunno. I might read those but I am not sure. I got this free and I am kinda glad. Sorry, but just sorta disappointing to me.

But Dermot has a tough challenge. He must help Vicky find her Christmas spirit before it's too late and the magic of Christmas is ruined for all those desperate to hold onto a little bit of magic.

I thought this was a good book. Fate or maybe Santa knew what it/he was doing pairing Dermot and Vicky together, when Vicky had lost her Christmas Spirit so was in Bear Bluff basically hiding as she’s one of Santa’s Reindeers’ and she can’t fly/pull the sleigh. Her mate Dermot can help her find her Christmas spirit and get her to the North Pole in time to deliver all the gifts around the world. I’m looking forward to reading Damon’s story next and seeing how much sh*t his mate gives him for rescuing her Cougar from up a tree. I’d definitely recommend this book, series, universe and author to everyone.

But Vicky is a special reindeer, she is one of Father Christmas reindeer and if she doesn't get her Christmas magic spirit soon, this year children around the world will go with no presents🤔🙄. This is a ok read but it's just way to much for me to believe this plot. A bit corny I am afraid to say.

If you skip past the erotica at the beginning, you'll find a really nice story about a bear shifter paramedic and a reindeer shifter who feels that she has lost her Christmas magic and will be responsible for the failure of Santa to deliver the presents. Add in a little girl who has been hospitalized for months, appearances by Rudolph and Santa, and the other shifter brothers, and you have a great feel good story! Simply suspend disbelief.

There's a couple of fun scenes but it is a basically a ball of festive fluff.
