Darkness Before Dawn

Rate this book
It is open to debate whether the 'reel' adventures of horror movie icon Ingrid Pitt were stranger and more exciting, mysterious and terrifying than the real-life adventures of the daughter, wife, mother and grandmother who came to film celebrity the hard way... Ingrid Pitt: Darkness Before Dawn will help to answer that conundrum as it recounts the amazing life of the sultry Ingrid - from her terror-filled years in a Nazi concentration camp, hardships after the war, her break into acting, being a wife and mother, international adventures in the movie trade, and her time spent writing and acting in the theatre. This fascinating memoir of a life filled with heartbreak and tears, and ultimately joy and laughter, paints an intimate portrait of the star which you will not soon forget. (Darkness Before Dawn is a revised and updated edition of Ingrid's 1999 autobiography, Life's A Scream.)
