3.5/5 stars. I really liked this one but I feel like story progression wise for Wendy it should’ve been maybe second or third? But I do really enjoy the call back to the first volume in the main series though.
The final volume in the Fairy Tail Blue Mistral series (after what seemed like a very long wait) is here and we get to see how our kid friendly little shojo series will finally end for Wendy and Carla after they joined Fairy Tail. Now I say it is kid friendly even though it is related Teen because no one actually dies but sacrifices and the potential to die do occur so if you are buying this for a young one please make sure they can handle such things.
In this volume Wendy is following the sound of a harp in the town she arrived in because she heard there was a harp that could summon dragons but misunderstandings come forth as the strumming girl (who was told that the harp would summon an angel) sees Wendy being carried in by Carla giving her a very angel like appearance. Still believing their lead might bear fruit Wendy and Carla pretend to be an angel to little Emily in hopes of the dragon harp bearer might show up in curiosity. However there is a dark presence in town which could endanger both Emily and Wendy as well as a miracle to be discovered yet. So be sure to read this book to see how Wendy and Carla wrap up their little adventure as well as a little summery of what happened to people they met after the 7 year time skip. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. :)
My favorite part (or rather parts) of the book is when Wendy tries for an angelic smile and everyone that sees it thinks she is smiling tiredly. The poor girl just can't win. :)
This is a self-contained adventure with a lot of heart. Kind of sad to see the series end, but until a student said something about it, I'd kind of forgotten there was supposed to be more after volume 3.
I think Blue Mistral is a very good, short spinoff for Fairy Tail. While rated T, it's quite alright for most upper elementary kids. A little violence, nothing more.
Really love the awesome fairy tail manga, and this is a fairy tail spin off of Wendy’s own adventure which was pretty good! Really love when my favorite mangas have spin off’s😻😁❤️❤️
