well organized and good info

The idea behind this book is that "low residue" food are easier to digest and exit the system without causing blockages. Though in general a high fiber diet is suggested (even in the intro to this book) there are some medical conditions where this type of diet is recommended temporarily. This book lays out the basics and the "how" and even has handy charts of foods that are allowed vs foods to avoid. The Main Dish recipes are broken into sections based on the protein: Chicken, Pork, Lamb, Beef, Turkey, Seafood, and eggs. Side dishes: rice, breads, veggies. And there are also beverages and desserts sections. And each recipe has the nutritional facts with it. Very helpful.

Avoid if you're veggie or vegan

Recipes easy to follow BUT I assume for U.S audiences as some ingredients not available in the UK. Very limited veggie or vegan meals...most are without any protein substitute and fat content can be too high.

I was hoping for some new recipe ideas, but no.
I was also surprised to see 2 cauliflower recipes in here. All of the medical sites I’ve looked at have said we can’t have cauliflower on a low residue diet.
