Shadowing Thunder: Being Reformed in Saudi Arabia

Rate this book
In Saudi's largest industrial City, Jubail, an anthropologist seeks a deeper understanding of himself and a strange world. Driven by nothing other than openness and understanding, combined with an uncanny ability to knit experiences together into a coherent picture, he finds below a very shallow and clumsy surface a spiritual hope larger than any he could have imagined.

Something like that.

Look, it's really hard to explain. You would have had to have been there, but of course, only I was, or were, given it's all hypothetical but true. You see, I thought i was one of the good guys until that few years, and that understanding, and that process began and hasn't ended.

It's a feminist novel. Ironically.
