Samantha has a secret place - her forest. Here, she know every tree, every glen, every bird.... When greedy developers plan to destroy 'her' forest, nobody seems to care. Samantha shocked, vowes to fight them, even on her own! Her deep appreciation for the environment and her love for the forest bring her to the attention of survivors of lost planet, which died 150,000 thousand years ago due to their own global warming and pollution. All those years ago, they found sanctuary here on our planet, hidden from everybody in a hide-out under the lake in Sam's forest. They call on Samantha to help them save this planet and train her for the battle that lies ahead by teaching her many new, amazing skills...... But their greatest gift to Samantha and the world is a formula for clean energy, making fossil fuel pollution a thing of the past....
Another SA novel for young adults, this time probably for younger teens. The theme is global warming and the likely extinction of human life. The protagonist, a young girl, is 'chosen' by beings from a distant planet to help save her own earth. A little simplistic and all problems too easily solved, but written in simple, readable language. The frequent spelling errors were one of the main flaws for me - I cannot read or recommend books that confuse 'lose' and 'loose' or 'you're' and 'your'.... Published by AuthorHouse in Bloomington - I see it's a company that assists writers to self-publish, so maybe the author needed a better editor.
