Mom of two rockin' girls, Reader of everything, Author of The Dragon Guards series and many more surprises to come!

I am a sarcastic, sometimes foul-mouthed, not afraid to drink a beer, always southern woman with 2 of the most amazing teenage daughters,
a menagerie of animals and a voracious appetite for reading who recently decided to write the storied running through her brain. I read my first book, Dr Suess' Cat in The Hat by myself at 4 and was hooked.
I believe a good book along with shoes, makeup and purses will never let a girl down and that all heroes of all the books
I have ever read or will ever write pale in comparison to my daddy! I am a sucker for a happy ending and love some hot sweaty sex with a healthy dose of romance.
I am still working on my story but believe it will contain all of the above with as much SPICE as I can work into it. CHEERS!

~ 4 The Fate of Her Dragon Stars ~

The Fate of Her Dragon is book ten in the Dragon Guards series by Julia Mills and is full of love and hope.

I enjoyed reading this short. It has some new elements that have not shown up in the series before which added to my enjoyment. Some of those new elements where the mating ceremony in the males POV (which I loved seeing) and a dragon guardsmen imprisoned for over 100 years.

As always this is a short story with an insta relationship going on. We get some great fun conversations, an intense rescue of our trapped dragon, some new element of ancient black magic, and the battle to defeat the current Dorcha is finally coming to a head.

All and all this was a wonderful read. Come meet the men of the Dragon Guard and the one women the Universe has created just for them.

*Disclaimer: I purchased this book for my own consumption. I was not given any type of copy for a review. All thoughts, comments and ratings are my own.

Once again, Julia Mills has given us a wonderful story full of love & hope. This is a fantastic addition to one of my favorite shifter series.

This is the story of Drago MacLendon, the long missing Dragon Guard Assassin, former Commander of the MacLendon Force & Alicia McKennon, a white witch & the one the Universe created just for him.

Drago has been held captive by an evil wizard for a hundred years. But finally, something has changed, he can feel the magic of other dragons but he can't contact them. Then he feels her...the one the Universe made for him. Will he be able to contact her? Will she be able to bring help in time to save him? Come along and meet the men of the Dragon Guard & the women the Universe created just for them.

This one was just ok for me and as a short story (approx. 130 pages) it took me 3 days to finish as I just couldn't get into it like I have with some of the previous books in this series. I wanted to like it more then I did but just couldn't. So I feel a 3 star rating is on the generous side.
Because the h was continually referred to as 'the young witch' and I wasn't exactly sure of her age, she came across as a teenager and a bit immature, who was mated to an older dragon/man so it seemed a bit weird to me and I couldn't feel their connection.
How the H survived for so long wasn't adequately explained for me and the spells and witch craft side of things were a bit over-explained and drawn out and I found myself skimming those spell pages (and it still took me 3 days to finish). A few minor editing issues as well, not totally off putting but still there.
Overall just an ok read for me and if your new to the series I wouldn't recommend starting with this one. It was nice to see snippets from previously mention characters. Not sure if I'll continue with this series as this is book 10 and I think it might be done for me.

My Captive Dragon!

This is a story of heart and faith. Family and the bonds between them. Time does not seem to change the plan the universe has set into action. Each story draws you in more than the last. I can't wait until the next one. Come get your Dragon on!

Drago and Alicia's story. This book centred around a dragon thought lost forever, missing for over a hundred years. One of the first Dragon Guard, loved this story line, different from the other books. Can you imagine someone constantly calling you in your head but not being able to see, touch them. Frustrating, but the rewards..... I wont go into detail as I don't want to give the story away. The depths of black evil you feel in your bones as you turn each page. This Dragon clan is forever growing, becoming stronger, although I feel we haven't seen the last of the evil. This is another excellent read, I was excited to read this book. If you love dragon shifters and deep everlasting love caught up in one hell of a story read this series, you will love them. A**************************

Beautiful...Absolutely Beautiful

What can I say, she hit another homerun with this one. It was a beautifully written story that shows you that all good things come in time. 100 years to be exact. This two were going to fight the bad evil to find each other and of course family always has your back. Just like family always is suppose to.

There were a few times that Julia had me crying and on the edge of my seat. I think I might have even threatened her under my breathe. But she will not leave you disappointed, but she will leave you ready for the next book.

Until Next Time... Tabi

INTERESTING SERIES, BUT BECAME REPETITIVE AFTER A FEW BOOKS
After reading a few of these, I decided to write one review for all of them. I found these books to be pretty good, if somewhat formulaic. If a reader is looking for a good story with some drama & where the main characters go through some terrible things, but ultimately end up together, I think they will enjoy this series of books. It is sometimes nice to read a "happily ever after" story.

This book was artfully crafted and uniquely designed to pull you into the pages where secrets and fairytales live and dreams come true for those who believe!

Drago and Alicia's story was extraordinary, enchanting, enthralling and endlessly entertaining where stubbornness and determination to rise above conflict with a heart of gold and a core of steel to get to where love and happiness lives!

I received a complimentary copy for an hones review. With each book in the Dragon Guard, the story gets better and so much more intriguing. I look forward to this series as each new book comes out. This one, catches you, as always from the beginning and holds you until the very end. This is a must read if you are a paranormal romance lover.!!!!!!!

Dragon Guard number 10

I loved this book. But then I have loved all the dragon guard books. Hooked on them is an understatement. To see and feel what Julia puts on paper makes you want one of these dragon/men for your own. Can't wait for the next one.

In this one, Dragos has been held an underground (as in buried) captive prisoner by black magic for years. His family and dragon brethren all thinking him dead until one day he feels her, his mate! And Fate be praised, even without the mating bond he's able to speak to her mind to mind. Alicia is thinking she's going mad. She's haunted throughout the day and night by the voice of a man who claims he's her mate and needs help. Her mind's not sure she believes what is going on but her heart is convinced it's true. What will she ultimately decide? There's nothing not to love about Julia Mills' Dragon Guard series. The storyline, the underlying plot that runs through each book, along with the immediate story and their own personal drama, the characters that always flawed, never perfect, make for an intense, angst filled, sexually charged and sometimes funny or sad. These are the attributes I've come to expect from each of her books and am never disappointed.

Dragon Guardsman MacLendon has been missing for over a century and is presumed dead but he has been clinging to his life trapped in silver believing all hope is lost until he felt a woman in his mind. White Witch Alicia McKennon is having sleepless nights and believing she is hallucinating the voice that is calling, begging and pleading with her to save him. Can she accept that the man is real and that she is the one the Universe made for him? Can she convince the rest of the guardsmen that he is real and needs their help to be rescued?

This was a lovely story with lots of emotions, drama and fighting both to save each other as well as find and destroy the person who had imprisoned him. This had lots of drama, danger, excitement, magic, violence and some sexual content. Well written and very enjoyable. It is part of a series but can be read stand-alone.

I enjoy these stories for the main arcs that span several books and oh yeah the dragons. But I've got to call the author out on reusing her own material. It might not be as noticeable if you read them over time but I tend to binge read for a whole arc. It has become painfully obvious that the author wrote one mating ceremony section and is reusing it in each book. She changes small details like the color to match the dragon and the setting but the dialog is the same exactly. Even when we get to the love scene that follows the mating. Same dialog verbatim, same actions. She may change who does what first but that is all. I'd love to see a little more imagination and originality here. I know there are a lot of books in this series and hopefully this isn't just how she turns out so many books so quickly. If so I'm afraid I'll go in search of a more creative author.

A female witch and a male dragon shifter warrior!

A female witch has been hearing a male voice in her head begging for help. It has made her loose sleep and she is beginning to wonder if she is losing her mind. A male dragon shifter warrior has been buried alive for 100 years. He has been trying to reach his brethren, but no one seems to hear him. You will have to read the book to find out what all happens to everyone. Lots of black and white magic in this story. Happy reading!

Rescuing her mate

Alicia is sure she is going mad as she has been hearing a voice calling to her leading her to a blocked cave entrance. Imagine her surprise when the voice tells her that he is Drago and has been trapped for over 100 years and she is his mate as he is a Dragon guard shifter. Readers should enjoy reading this book which I totally recommend. Julia has once again written a delightful intriguing tale about a handsome dragon shifter and his beautiful magical mate.

must see to believe

Alicia keeps ending up outside a cave with a boulder blocking it. She keeps hearing a man’s voice asking her to save him. She learns he is a dragon who has been trapped for a hundred years, she asks why he is speaking to her instead of the other dragons. He informs her that she is his mate, she doesn’t want to believe him. Can she save him? Will she finally except her fate? Can they defeat the evil? Come on in and find out.

Nothing short of amazing

Well true to form Julia did it again. One of her best this one has the drama of a soap opera and supernatural all rolled into one. I felt like Sam and Dean might show up any minute. Lol. Way to go Julia and these Dragon Guards just keep getting better and better. Now I love witches too.

The next book

An ending or beginning to a continuing story. This is a great finish to a part of the story that leads to the next great story. A never ending lead into new characters and previously introduced characters that interact as a whole body. What a great way to keep the reader craving more.

This series even though it seems slow to me has a lot of creatures such as angels, demons, dragons, witches, fairies and werecats. A very heady combination but I am waiting for the finale to see what's the biggest thread for everyone to come together and defeat.

I do enjoy this series.
I like the way they all work together. I do think it strange that he adapted so quickly, but I guess mind reading helps assimilate new stuff.

Good book!

I really enjoyed this book. The storyline flows and the characters keep me coming back to this series. There are some repetitive parts though out the series, but I'm hooked and can't put them down. Give them a try!

Dragons

Dragons are my passion and this series I can’t get enough of. I love reading about the old timers. They bring to mind what it should be like when a man can say he loves in front of anyone and it not bother him
