Krys was born and raised in Canada and relocated to the UK in 2011. She currently lives with her two cats Willow and Gideon and her dog Finnick, in a woodland cottage.
Krys is an accomplished artist, and herbal practitioner; and while not writing, can often be found in her home studio or garden.
Having taken an interest in gothic fiction from an early age, Krys has drawn inspiration for her work from this long tradition including the works of Mary Shelley, Charlotte Brontë, Oscar Wilde, and Anne Rice.
Krys also researches local history and folklore and uses her extensive knowledge of both in her work.
I wasn’t happy with the characters. They were just stilted and awkward for me, but I did let out a few ‘aww’s at the profuse exclamations of love between Henry and Rose. Nevertheless, I would not recommend people to read this because those moments were not enough to hide the inadequate storytelling.
