Holy shit, Crazy Dave actually invented ice cream that doesn't melt? That is incredible, why don't we have that?! All we have is just dumbass stuff, like self-driving cars and a company called "Electronic Arts".. get rid of those things and give us the ice cream!

I thought I was getting tired of the PVZ franchise by now, but this title managed to hold my attention to the end still. The story is - as always - a bit silly, but it's silly in its usual PVZ way, so that's ok. At the end of the comic are several short spin-off comics based on several characters from the main story, that are illustrated by different artists (and so rendered in a completely different art style) - these weren't bad either.
This whole series turned out to be so much more delightfully wacky than I ever expected a book based on a barely-plotted video game to be. The weird characters and surreal humor could give this series a broader appeal than just kids.
