This book was hilarious and I couldn't stop laughing because there were so many funny parts. That's what I love about Dork Diaries, it keeps you entertained and always smiling while reading. Sometimes, I read in front of my friends and they think I am crazy because I laugh so hard. And other times, my friends laugh along with me even though they don't know why I am laughing.
But before I start this review, I just want to talk about the debate that has been going around between Dork Diaries and the Diary of a Wimpy Kid. I love both of these books, but I stopped reading the Diary of a Wimpy Kid because I guess I grew out of it. Later on, Dork Diaries was released and I loved it so much. I remember I had a hard time getting my hands on this book because it was so famous in my school and everyone was a reader. And once, I saw the book on the return shelf when I was going back to class and I ran to the library after school to grab the book, but someone already had it in their hands. Anyway, everyone keeps saying that Dork Diaries is like the female version of the Diary of a Wimpy Kid.
“Better late than never."
And I disagree, Dork Diaries has a few similarities with the Diary of a Wimpy Kid, but it isn't exactly the exact same thing. Nikki is the main character from Dork Diaries and she is so different from Greg. Greg has an older brother and a younger brother who makes his life miserable. And Nikki has a younger sister who makes her life miserable, but at the same time it is hilarious. Miss Bri Bri, (Brianna, Nikki's little sister) is one of the coolest people I have read about. Most of the time, Greg is trying to act cool and get the pretty girls to go out with him. While Nikki just wants to live her life without Mackenzie bothering/bullying her.
Sometimes I think of Mackenzie and her attitude and I am like:
Anyway, the Dork Diaries is about a girl named Nikki who is going to middle school. She has a huge crush on Brandon and her locker is next to Mackenzie, the most popular girl in her school. Mackenzie and Nikki hate each other and Nikki has to deal with her little sister, make new friends, and her crush Brandon. Every book has a different crazy story and event that takes place and it is really funny.
“In spite of her cute little angelic face and pink sneakers, Brianna is actually a baby Tyrannosaurus rex. On STEROIDS!”
Nikki is someone who admits that she is a dork and I love that about her. I feel like I can relate to her in SOME ways but sometimes the story is a bit cliche. Brandon is a nice guy but I wish he would speak up more. Chloe and Zoey are awesome and funny in their own way and I cannot forget Brianna, she is the one who makes me laugh the most.

I love these books, a few years ago I had a best friend and we bonded over these books. We talked about the Dork Diaries all the time and we were really close. But when we had to move on to high school, we parted ways and although I am still in contact, we grew apart. I miss all my old friends but I am so glad to have new, awesome friends.

I recommend the Dork Diaries to anyone who wants a good laugh. Anyone who wants to read a story about a girl in middle school should also read this book. And may I just say, THE COVER IS BEAUTIFUL!

This book is terrible.
I know that this is a series for kids but I don't think it excuses its poor writing.
Throughout the entire series,we see Nikki fight with Mackenzie over and over again.
WE GET IT.
Mackenzie is bad and Nikki is good.All while Brandon likes Nikki and not Mackenzie.Could this get anymore cliche?I was excited for this book because I wanted to know how it would be like for Nikki to finally be rid of Mackenzie.As it turns out,Mackenzie is back! (Surprise I guess?) And not only that,the author had to go the extra mile and add in the ironic plot line that Mackenzie isn't popular at her new school.I mean seriously?
This series is extremely repetitive,too.
In almost every book,we see Mackenzie get what she deserves,while Brandon and Nikki look at eachother with googly eyes.
I'm just too lazy to explain why the series is going downhill,but my points still stand.

In this book Nikki and Brandon find some abandoned puppies and the animal shelter is too full for more! Nikki and her friends decide to go on a secret mission to keep the puppies safe. I read the first chapter of this and couldn’t stop! I would recommend to anyone.

I just loved this book. This book is my favourite one out of the whole series.
The fact that Nikki has to hide 7 puppies and a dog named Holly from 2 parents, 1 bratty little sister, an entire school and 1 mean girl is so thrilling, that it keeps any reader hooked to the book. ;)
My favourite part was when she had kept these dogs in her bedroom in secret (since her mom didn't allow her to keep them ) Brianna (her little sister) found out everything and made a huuuuuuge mess with the dogs. Since her parents had gone out for that night, Nikki still had time to clean up this mess. She figured baby-sitting was far worse than dog-sitting. LOL.
I also liked the part when she takes all 8 dogs to school and leaves them in Principal Winston's Room (since he has gone to some meeting outside school)... When she goes to collect them after school, she discovers the puppies running loose creating absolute chaos and an angry Principal right in the middle. LOL..... After reading this book I've been asking my mom to get me a pet dog haha
I am waiting for the next book to be out..

Nikki Maxwell. Wow she found out that she has to hide 7 puppies and 1 dog from 2 parents 1 little sister and 1 mean girl. Wow that was a challenge for Nikki. She some how got her parents out of the house by buying them a 3 hour movie but her little sister finds out and has to give them a spa treatment. SHE SMOTHERS THEM WITH PEANUT BUTTER!!!! So, she goes into the bathroom to find compost as a mud bath! OMG HELLO BRIANA!! so she runs into Brandon and his friend Max so Briana and Nikki get the compost out of the bathtub, Brandon puts it in the dirt and Max washes the dogs. Whoo that's over. Nikki's mom and dad will be at the zoo for Briana's class chaperon . Nikki can leave the dogs at home perfect. "WHAT MOM YOUR HOME" says Nikki "I can't go to the zoo with Briana because it's raining." Her mom says. NOOOOOOOO what will Nikki do. She brings the dogs to school and hides them in the janitors closet. She soon finds out she can't hide them there.(read the book to find out why she can't hide the puppies there) She goes to hide them in the principals office because he is at an all-day meeting. She finally is done with everything except she needs to bring the puppies to Chloe's house. When school is over she rushes to the principals office and... OH NO

The book Dork diaries: tales from a Not-So-Perfect Pet Sitter is about a girl named Nikki maxwell and her enemy Mackenzie Holliester moved schools and now is going to a private school Nikki and her crush brandon are dating but Mackenzie like brandon too. Even though Mackenzie goes to a different school she still manages to run into them and try's to flirt with brandon. Brandon and Nikki both volunteer at a animal shelter and one day they got there and found a dog and her seven puppies but they cant keep them a the shelter until there is enough room so they have to figure how to take care of them and how to deal with Mackenzie. This book was really good and I loved it. This book made me happy and made me laugh a lot too. If you like the diarie of a wimpy kid series than you will like the dork diaries series.

I really enjoyed reading this book. During the book, the main character, Nikki Maxwell, is trying to hide 8 dogs from her parents because she promised her friend that she would do it. She faces all of these obstacles that she has to overcome. If she messes up, she might get caught and her parents will probably ground her till she's 18. Nikki learns a lot of life lessons especially about responsibility. Her parents go out the night that Nikki is taking care of the dogs, but then she has to babysit her little sister who is a troublemaker. (Read the book to see what crazy things happen) I would definitely recommend this book to younger readers.

I really like this book. One of my favorite parts was, in the beginning, where it talks about a girl(Nikki) who wants to help out her friend by babysitting dogs. The girl's parents said no after she had already said yes to her friend. Nikki struggles to hide the seven puppies and one dog behind her parent's backs without them finding out. Nikki finds out she cannot hide the dogs at her house while she is at school, so she has to find a way to hide the dogs without anybody finding out. I like this part because it starts the whole story.

Mackenzie is finally gone! She transferred schools and now, Nikki doesn't have to deal with her bullying. Or so Nikki thought. Mackenzie may be in a different school, but she's still up to no good. And somehow Nikki must hide the fact from her parents there is a total of 8 dogs in her room!
I didn't enjoy book number 9 as much as the others, but I really did enjoy this one. It was funny and had a lot going on with Nikki having to hide the dogs and all. I had a good time reading this and I really liked the ending.

This is a very fun, light book to read. Nikki can be a little entitled and "all about me," but it's still an enjoyable book !! :)

Een heel TOF boek.Als haar crush Brandon vraagt om op honden te passen ze zegt natuurlijk ja.Een paar snoezige hondjes verzorgen,dat is toch niet moeilijk?Nikki verstopt de honden thuis en neemt ze stiekem mee naar school...maar de hondjes hebben andere plannen!En Mackenzie?Die wil WRAAK!Dit is een echte aanrader voor alle meiden,het kan je allemaal zelf overkomen.

Dork Diaries Tales from a Not so Perfect Pet Sitter is written by Rachel Renee Russell. This book is about the main character Nikki Maxwell and how her and her three friends take care of 8 homeless dogs. Her crush Brandon takes them one night then she takes them. But her parents say that she can’t have them at their house so she hides them in her room. Her little sister finds out and wants to help. Her little sister Briana decided to let them out of their cage and the dogs tore everything apart. Now Nikki has to sew everything up. While she is doing that Briana decides to give the dogs a spa day with peanut butter and mud. Now Nikki has another mess to clean up. Then while she does that there is a knock on the door and it was Brandon checking up on them. Nikki asks him and his friend to help her clean up the mess. The agree on one condition. Nikki has so give them mud because they have a science fair project. Briana actually got that mud secretly from the house that Brandon was at. After that Nikki has to bring the dogs to school with her because her BFF Chloe can’t have them for another couple of hours. Nikki and her BFF’S hide them in the principal's office because he is out for the day. The principal comes back and see’s the dogs. Nikki and her friends go to the office and their friend made an excuse for them. At the end of the book Nikki gets a ……...super cute and cuddly one too. You will have to read the book to find out more. Nikki’s day went crazy but this book was very funny.

This book was about Nicky who takes care of seven dogs without her parents permission and her friends Chloey and Zoey take care of the dogs too,but while they do that, they pass through so many bad things but in the end, everything turns out right. This book made me feel happy because they got out of trouble. I learned that not everything is as easy as it looks. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes dork diary books like my friends because they would have fun reading it

I know it seems foolish and childish, but I LOVE this series. It's funny, adorable, catchy and verry relaxing. Simply amazing. Can't wait to read the next book!

This book was AMAZING
I love animals especially puppies/dogs.
Niki is like me because I always wanted a puppy/dog and I actually got one.
I was really excited when I heard there was going to be a new book
When I was in the library my friend borrowed the book and when she finished the book I looked at the book cover and I was like wow there is puppies in the book but I didn't borrow the book but I didn't know why and only now I found out that this book is AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄🐶🐶🐶🐶🐶🐶🐶🐶🐶🐶🐶🐶

The book Dork diaries: Tales from a NOT-SO-Perfect Pet Sitter is about Nikki's enemy Mackenzie moving schools. Even though Mackenzie moved, she still tries to ruin Nikki's life. One day Nikki is with her friend/crush, Brandon, and they find a box of puppies and their mom. The pet shelter they work at does not have the room to care for the dogs so they take turns caring for the dogs with their friends. This book is enjoyable and a easy read. The book was too easy for me, but I still liked it. I would recommend this book to anybody who likes books about relatable situations, kiddy humor, and fun illustrations.
