"Goodnight, Campsite" is an award-winning children's book on camping, featuring more than tents. Our book highlights RVs - Travel Trailers, Fifth-Wheels, Pop-Ups, Class A, Class C, and other camper options. The perfect gift for RVers, especially those looking for kids camping books or camping books for toddlers. “Goodnight, Campsite” is set in a beautiful nature park, and the story follows visitors as they explore the park during the day (hiking, biking, fishing, etc.), and then returns with them to their campsite at night. There is an emphasis on RVs, which sets this title apart from other camping books on the market, which only feature tents. Preschool-aged children will love the beautiful and colorful pictures – and searching for the squirrel hiding in the pictures. Rhyming text will keep children engaged, as they build sound associations and phonemic skills. Also included in the book is a Campsite Bingo game! We know there are lots of children's books about camping out there, and we are honored that you are considering "Goodnight, Campsite." Children love books, almost as much as they love camping! Let's get outside and make some memories. See you on the trails! Loretta Sponsler

Cute children’s book about camping. Incorporates tents and campers, hiking, biking, backpacking, fishing, campfires, scouting, animals and nature. Story is not great but more of an introduction to different things people do while camping. The only thing I didn’t like was it seems to lack girls. Boys are represented with scouts, bikes, and construction toys. Even the grandparents- he golfs, she shops? 🤷♀️. But still cute overall.
Well, some of it isn't bad, but its sadly inaccurate wildlife depiction and its adult references make it too far out of the realm for child book. Couples making a toast, men going on a weekend without their wives and kids, and what does a a retired couple selling their home and taking things on the road with her shopping and him golfing separately have to do with the campsite?
There is a trail map in the front. This is Big Meadow campground. It has mountains to climb, peaks to hike, animals to see and trails to bike. Rigs arrive short and tall campers come from far and wide. Some childhood friends came to ride bikes. Little ones chose trails with maps in hands. They come back and play. The illustrations are beautiful of the park. This book is all about RVing. There is a Campsite Bingo Game inside.
Having read a lot of the “goodnight” books or similar, this one felt a bit more mature and even lengthier if that’s even possible. The illustrations are great and the rhyme and rhythm is too. Unfortunately, unlike most of the other similar goodnight books, it did not keep the interest of our toddler. As a parent, I enjoyed the keys and map!
I loved reading this with my granddaughter. The rhyming words were fun and the illustrations just delightful. This lead onto a fun question and answer session, so, all in all a very enjoyable book. Try it for yourself...I think you’ll be surprised.
Goodnight, Campsite by Loretta Sponsler, Olga Shevchenko Children's colorful rhyming book about a stay at the campsite. Liked all the things that are depicted on the pages. Print is a bit small and sometimes hard to read on the background. Love bingo game at the end.
camping is such a fun time ... if you just enjoy it ... but i guess if you prefer the bed bugs at hotels and motels ... so be it. we love it. great times ... quiet ...great views and the road all the time. i wish i was there now.
Kids will see what there is to see and do at a campground, meet many different types of people who enjoy camping, the different types of sleeping quarters cooking options, outdoor activities, etc. Nice to see a variety of different races represented.
'This book is super fantastic because I thought that the squirrel would put the hat on the moon, but the squirrel was fast asleep and the girls and boys were in their camp with their parents. I liked the book because it was really, really, really fantastic.' This is what my son had to say.
It's a wonderful book to show children the joy of being around nature and outdoors.
Goodnight Campsite by Loretta Sponsler is about many different people and how they spend their night at the campsite. For example, the kids play in the mud, the retirees go on a hike, the childhood friends ride bikes, and the grandparents make s’mores. This book is written in the lovely style of The Night Before Christmas. Reason for recommendation: This book teaches kids about different types of people and what they do on camping. Winner of the Coveted Purple Dragonfly Book Award.

The length is just right, NOT too long for a quick bedtime story !! WONDERFULLY WRITTEN AND BEAUTIFULLY ILLUSTRATED! I would absolutely recommend to any mom no matter the kids age!!!
Goodnight, Campsite is a cute educational picture book about the different types of campers at a campground. The colorful pictures are fun illustrations of the rhyming text.
I read this book on an iPhone, but a larger screen would be preferable.
