From the Award Winning book Twice Lost by Jennifer Field comes a novella of secrets, deceit, and all-consuming desire all for what? Her…
Abigale Colebrook married a man she thought would sweep her off her feet and into the lap of luxury. Only, the man he portrayed was very different from the man he really was. Dark secrets lay within the Colebrook Estate and she finds herself being used as nothing more than a pawn in Lairds' sick games.
That is, until a handsome stranger rings their doorbell.
He was sent by Pesta to meet Laird Colebrook and locate the legendary statue of Asher and Faye, but no relic could compare to the blonde beauty that swept into his heart. The moment he laid eyes on Abigale Colebrook, he knew he had to have her. And the moment he kissed her, he knew no one would get in his way. It didn’t matter that her husband was the very man he came to do business with, the very man who controlled her every move.
He was Astaroth, one of the seven princes of the underworld, commander of forty legions, and the leader of the seven armies--no one could take from him what he desired.
This series has completely taken over my mind. I am completely enthralled with the underworld, the demons, the un-human beings and this magnificent masterpiece. Each installment is another piece and glimpse at the big picture. I can’t wait to read the next one. I absolutely cannot wait for a certain weasel to get his punishment. I know what it is but I want to see what happened to bring him there! How am I rooting for the demon?!? Read these in order! You’ll be so glad that you did.
This is book 3 in the Harbinger Series, and it is Astaroth and Abby Colebrook’s tale. From Tye’s Undoing, I went in already knowing they had been involved, but not knowing many details. Admittedly, I went into this story unsure how I was going to feel about Astaroth as a main character. I didn’t exactly have the warm fuzzies for him after Twice Lost or Tye’s Undoing. As it turns out, I enjoyed this book, and I was teary-eyed at more than one point in the story. Abby and Astaroth’s relationship is very touching, even if it did feel rushed. I loved the chemistry between these two. I am not going into many details because I don’t want to give away any spoilers.
Much like Tye’s Undoing, this book adds a great deal of background to some characters and has more of a love story than Twice Lost. The book actually takes the readers back even further than Tye’s Undoing. Overall, this is a very well-written story. Much like the first two books, there is no happily ever after, and it leaves the reader with even more questions. Rating this book was difficult for me. While I liked the book, I was a little frustrated that so many unanswered questions still remain this far into the series.
I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
I got this Arc for an honest review and found it amazing as the first one on the series.
This book seems to be a prequel to "twice lost", and here, we meet abby a common human at first sight, who lives an unhappy life with a strange and cruel man.
Then she crosses paths with a man named Roth, or most commonly known as "Astaroth" one of the seven princes of the Underworld, or mainly called a demon.
They meet and without making any sense, they fall deeply in love, and that only brings darkness and sadness into their lives.
The passion between the characters was amazing, and it was so beautifully described that you feel in love with them too.
The sex scenes are descriptive and sensual.
The way this book bonds the characters is something else, when he is back, you really feel she has been waiting for him all that time!
Overall, amazing story, and great book, perfectly written.
