I received this book as a giveaway from Goodreads. It's a fantasy saga and well written. I did find it a bit slow to start with but it held my interest to the end. It's a story of good and evil with evil seeming to get the upper hand and the world suffering for it. Three unlikely heroes set out to find the source and deal with it. They find help in unusual places and discover that to be victorious they must control their emotions and listen to the spirits that guide them. They learn to have faith in themselves and their teachers so that they are able to endure the hardships and terrors that they encounter. They sacrifice and endure much before the tale is told.
