Rate this book
The last thing Captain Dawson Lang ever wanted on his ship the Drigon was a woman, and now he's stuck with a female medical officer on a mission to a dead planet. She beguiles him and distracts him to the point of madness. Out of sheer frustration, he creates a holo-program in her image so he can carry out his fantasies, even if only in virtual reality. Meredith is fighting a strong attraction to the handsome captain, though having to report to him on a regular basis isn't helping her resolve any. When disaster strikes and the mighty ship falls, she finds her budding romance with the captain growing as danger lurks just out of sight. On the planet's icy surface, a predator unlike any they've ever known stalks them, picking off the crew one by one while they await rescue. They can only pray that help arrives in time! I read a lot of weird things but this one was even too weird for me.

After Alexandria walks in on her fiance buck naked with another woman -- in their bed no less -- she decides to hop in her car and escape for awhile. As luck would have it, she ends up getting run off the road while caught in a blizzard. She begins to walk in the hopes of finding some shelter but gets all turned around and lost in the blinding snow. She succumbs to the cold and collapses in a heap giving up all hope of rescue. When she awakens, she feels an intense heat emanating from the male form laying naked beside her now naked body. Overcome by lust and gratitude, she allows him to do as he wishes with her body. Never seeing his face. Wait, did you catch that? Never seeing his face. Even in romancelandia who does that? Poor thing then passes out from exhaustion.

Thus begins Stefan and Xandri's love affair. From the moment they touch they're connected and Xandria finds herself overwhelmingly attracted to him despite the fact that he's, wait for it . . . covered in gray downy fur, has a "muzzle" and a beastly protrusion where a man-part is supposed to be located. It's weird, oh yes it is, but so vividly written that you just can't turn away even though your brain is screaming "this is so not right, stop reading, STOP READING NOW!". You know what I did, right?

Well, I'm sad to say this book went downhill after the interesting beginning. A little more plot would've gone a long way here. One sex scene after another gets excruciatingly dull when there's no plot to get in the way even it if it is weird, furry-beast sex. I ended up bored and skimmed my way to the end so I could it pass it along to the next victim.

Two stars because I was compelled to read it to the end despite myself.

werewolf sex should really be a lot sexier. shouldn't it? i mean when i think of werewolf sex, it certainly is much more sexy, a lot less tortuous, eye-rolling.

it starts off sort of intriguingly, but honestly i lost interest fairly early on, with the semi-reveal in the limo. badly done. still, i had hope for at least a sorta trashy version of Beauty & the Beast (the tv show, that is) but then it all became about dueling alphas and guy-on-guy action and all this psychodrama about who is topping who and i just thought, who cares, enough already. not hot. plus, terribly written for the most part, of course.

although i suppose i should be stoked that there's so much bi action going on, overall the whole affair and the feeling at the end is a bit too i'm-learning-so-much-about-myself, ohwhatacommunitywearebuildingtogether with our crazy menage. where's the danger? and now i'm repeating myself from other reviews but what the hey is up with all this intense focus on "ALPHA MALES" all the time? do writers of pnr and romance live in the real world? i suppose i understand the placement of certain gender paradigms as a central focus in sexual fantasy, it is often a very basic part of what makes our various doodads respond... but gosh, male writers sure get a bad rap when writing attractive women only as sex-starved floozies. and so i would like to give a bad rap to women writers who only want to portray attractive men as ALPHAS WHO WANT TO GET THEIR MATING ON, RIGHT NOW, YOU ARE THE ONLY ONE FOR ME, YOU'RE MINE GODDAMNIT, I OWN THAT HEART, AND EVERYTHING ELSE! so what's up with the remaining 90% of all straight women looking for love - are they all stuck with snivelling, stunted Beta Men and so are destined to live emotionally and sexually unsatisfied lives? that sure sucks for them.

or perhaps this is just the whining of someone who is clearly not an alpha male but is secretly jealous. how sad; i hope that's not the case. it must not be, right? intelligent women aren't secretly jealous because they are not silly, sex-starved floozies, are they? okay then, so i am not jealous of not being a cretinous, depressive alpha male. YAY, i've convinced myself, woo hoo!

Holy gods and little demons. That was just a hot mess. And not the good hot that leaves me wishing I smoked and needing a cold shower.

While I wasn't squicked by the bestiality (because popular vote said that's exactly what it was), I can happily say it is not my thing. Even when it was plain old human sex, it wasn't sexy. Like, at all. I wasn't left moist and panting, I was left wondering how on earth there is more than one of these Wolf Tale books out there. Crap on a cracker. But I stuck with it. I pushed through, just to see how bad it could get. And it got worse.

Not only was the whole "We're simply DESTINED to be together forever, so there's no need to develop any actual relationship, just move on to the hot monkey boom boom" plot devise used (twice!), but we also had the "I'm totally straight but I've been dreaming about you reaming me with your manly staff while you jerk my rod off" (also known as "I'm straight but gay for you") device coupled with the always craptastic "We're gay for each other because of our shape-shifting abilities/ancient heritage/our entire race is sensual no matter what equipment everyone is using" trope.

And what the hell was with all the "I'm the alpha bitch, scream out in ecstasy while I spank you during our first lesbian encounter!"? I would say it came out of left field, but by that point there was nothing I would put past this book.

Don't even get me started on the "You'll be healed from your rape after you let me play in your back door" plot line. I was actively sneering at my ereader by that point.

And why did the one guy randomly pull out a condom? Why bother with it for the rear action that one time, after he'd been losing his snitch in her chamber of secrets without an invisibility cloak for months already??

I'd also really like to know why I put aside the three amazing books I'm reading and read this instead. I must still be sick. I call a do-over. I want the several hours this took to read back. And the $.99 I spent on the ebook.

I was recommended this book from a friend......apparently a really, really naughty friend, if you know what I mean *wink wink*

This book was all kinds of steamy....scratch that, it wasn’t just steamy it was flat out volcanic and it is quite a monumental achievement for me to say that it is probably the kinkiest thing I have ever read. It had m/f, m/m, m/f/m, m/m/f/f/, f/f....yep all in one book.

At the start I was sure I wouldn’t like it. The story starts out with Alexandria waking up after passing out in the forest in the middle of a snow storm. She’s naked, its pitch black and she has someones cock rubbing up against her clit.

Now if that was me, I would have gone all Kung Fu Panda on his ass. I definitely wouldn't have been gyrating my hips and picturing this man's happy stick rubbing up against me.

I would be picturing this mans

Call me weird, but in the likelihood of me waking up in a foreign place, naked, in total darkness I would not be screaming out my first orgasm until I had a look at the guy.

Another big no no for me is not wearing a condom...but hey, I'm having sex in the dark with a man I haven't even looked at, let alone opened my mouth to say "Hey bro, you got a franga?" so at this point I let it go.

But then old mate turns out looking like

Come on! - that ain't sexy.
And he has a wolf penis?? I'm not even going to comment on that.

So it started on a bit of a downer for me. As well as containing a huge amount of hot and steamy, it also had what I would consider bestiality and anal rape.....so not the everyday read for anyone vanilla.

If you are looking for a purely sexual read and have a high kink tolerance then this is probably the read for you. However if you are looking for a story with a lot of character depth and romance I suggest picking something else.

It was hard to lose myself in the sex scenes even though they were hot because of the slant towards bestiality. I don't care how good the guy is in the sack, if he has a dog-like penis and a canine face (and I don't mean he's a dog as in ugly, he has a muzzle and canine teeth, and covered in fur), that just doesn't do it for me. I wasn't overly thrilled with the scene that included one male character in his wolf-form forcing another male character to submit sexually to him while the second male character was in human form, either. Rape and bestiality. What a combination.

This book was too much for me. I couldn't finish it. The characters were cardboard cutouts. No emotion, just sex. I couldn't get into it. It's not for me.

Kate Douglas' first installment of her Wolf Tales is a winner in my book. You can really feel the emotions linked to the intimacies, and it's heartbreaking to read about Keisha's emotional agony. On the flip side this story has some hot menage and foursome action that are very tasteful. There is some mind sharing during the sex that is off the chart hot.

I had to force myself to finish this book. It started out really good and then I began wondering what happened to the strong male characters. They were so touchy-feely, I wanted the women to smack them one and tell them to man-up. Once Stefan was able to change back and forth, well really before then, he just started to get woosey weird. I have 9 of these books, I hope they get better.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAAHHHAA! The term "ROTFLMFAO!" Just doesn't cut it. With books like this (read this with a southern accent drawn out like) "who in thee hellll" wants to read 50 Shades of Grey! Seriously!

This book was the most educational book "In the sleazy sense" that I have ever read in my entire life! *cough* And I mean that positively! I am still laughing! And the thought of any of my friends knowing that I read this book...well... it keeps running through my head... I am not sure WHAT I would say to them! *cough* *cough* *cough*

Let me explain...

Well, I gave most of it away, but they do have to save the Chankus, so you get a series of them! I can't spoil the whole thing! You can probably skip this book since I gave pretty much the run down! But please keep reading them! It's a quick read especially if you want to skip the sex parts. Some get quite repetitive! *cough*

When Alexandria (Xandi) runs off the road she thinks she dreams of having sex while she is unconscious. Yet one man (Stephen) who is hiding from the world because of his magic/wizardry wolf being, has come to really know and love Xandi once they meet and spend the real time together.

Xandi and Stephen decide to go to his old wizard friend (Anton) who put this spell on Stephen to reverse the shapeshifing. Stephen had been dreaming of seeing Anton for the past years. These dreams are more than what you think.

Stephen and Xandi learn of their destiny as being a relative as Chanku, the ability to shift from human to wolf. Anton takes them with open arms. Eventually they all become the running pack they all were destined to be.

There's now blood and some dead men and yet another Chanku woman (Keisha). She does not yet believe she is Chanku until the 3 others go see her to convinse her she is. She eventually goes with the 3 others back to Anton's house.

4 sensual, sexual, human/wolf characters who really become to know each other.

One good book, can't wait to read the rest. Keep'em coming.

If I ever need to prove that I'm not a prude, then I'll whip this book out. Starting as a solid 3 and steadily decreasing to the point when a 4th member is introduced, my suspended disbelief, my tolerance for the writing, characters, non-exisent plot, all built up and overflowed resulting in me exclaiming how much I hate this book.

The author put in zero effort to develop her characters. She can write a pretty hot sex scene but I dont really care if I feel zero connection to the characters.

And do not pick up this book unless you are beyond tolerant with your sex scenes. I thought I'd read it all until this book but I'm not into beastiality (straight up, a man and a wolf). There was more too but I'm moving on.

I thought this book was about a love story between a werewolf and a human with some eroticism. I was wrong. This is pure porn! There are detailed sex scenes on every other page and it encompasses every act of sex possible: man on man, woman on woman, rape, threesomes, beastiality, foursomes and man and woman. Just wasn't what I was expecting. I can't finish reading it, because I am not interested in wolf on human action. I'm all about experimenting sexually, but I draw the line at animals. (and rape as a turn on).

Sensual, hot, explicit, erotic romance among wolf shape-shifters. Some readers will be uncomfortable.

STORY BRIEF:
Xandi is driving in a snowstorm. A truck runs her off the road. She gets lost walking in the blizzard and passes out. She wakes to find herself with a strange man. She accompanies Stefan on a trip to find Anton, the magician who turned him into part wolf. Stefan learns how to shift between human and wolf form, as does Anton. They want Xandi to stay with them. Later Anton discovers Keisha who had been brutally raped. He invites her to stay with them.

REVIEWER’S OPINION:
I suggest the first sex scene be nominated for some kind of award. It surprised me. It was hot, intoxicating and sensual. After being lost in the snow, Xandi wakes up in a warm bed in the dark next to a strange naked body. The next day was the first conversation between Xandi and this man. The scene of the conversation was mesmerizing. The story was different, nothing run-of-the-mill about this. Although I should mention that this group of characters seem to spend most of their time running through the forest and having a lot of sex. Apparently the two men were wealthy enough to support them all without anyone needing to have a job. The author doesn’t go into that. But it’s not necessary because the purpose of the book is for the erotic, not the mundane activities of life. The second half wasn’t as good as the first half, but it was still ok. Be forewarned, some readers will not like the following. There are gay sex scenes, men with men and women with women. The characters are not monogamous. There are group sex scenes, rear door activity, mild bondage, spanking, rape and murder – all of it explicit and graphic.

THE SERIES:
Wolf Tales was originally written as an online serial, with a new story coming out every six weeks through Changeling Press. When Kensington bought the series, they put all the stories together to create the first book. The rest of the books in the series were written as novels or novellas and have a lot more continuity to them. (Source: from one of the author’s comments.)

DATA:
Story length: 255 pages. Swearing language: strong. Sexual language: strong/erotic. Number of sex scenes: 16. Total number of sex scene pages: 75. Setting: current day Oregon, Montana and California. Copyright: 2006. Genre: erotic paranormal romance.

OTHER BOOKS:
To date, I’ve read one other book by Kate Douglas. My 3.5 star review of “Wolf Tales III” copyright 2007 was posted 5/2/09.

Please remind me to never read paranormal erotica again, even paranormal genre is my favorite. This book just one of some cases I must avoid to read, even I'm so INTRIGUED!!!! Hufff, pfffftttt!!! =(

I think after I read Nicholas (The Lords of Satyr, #1) by Elizabeth Amber , I will once again encountered some bad erotica. My guess is right. Even the idea for Chanku, the legend of wolves shifter is good, I just can't connect with this one. I find my self skip some page, just because I almost gagged and said :"WTF" over and over again. I don't mind with erotica,as long its have plot, and a little bit REALISTIC. This book, not so much. An idea to have some half men half wolf f*cked you, make me go BWAHAHAHA.. ==" And what with a knot at the Chanku men c*ck??? Ughhh =="

Wolf Tales contain 5 part, which told the story of Stefan, Alexandria (Xandi), Anton and Keisha. I don't bother with story, since my mind still processing whatever happen at Wolf Tales I. Just.. found the story yourself..

Pardon me if you want to hear my rant, but I don't have a mood to rant, since I just read part 1 and 2, and the rest are blurr.. Put this book at your wishlist if you love erotica, don't mind with plotless story, and all that destined things...

Note : contain m/m, f/f, m/f/m, m/m/f, m/m/f/f, and, well so many dirty thing ;9

Ladies and gentlemen this book will blow your mind!!! Mentally and physically!! Talking lots and lots if cold showers!! Plus it's a good instructional manual for those who want to take it up a notch in the bedroom!!! Other than that it was sexually weird and amazing at the same time there is a story, it's not that bad once you get past all the "sex"!!

I am not really sure what I expected this book to be, but it was ... not this. "Bisexual polyamorous matriarchal werewolves" seems like an OK premise, and I figured if it was successful enough to have become a 10 book series, I should probably give it a try. (I'm not the kind of librarian who gets to do readers advisory, but because sometimes I pretend I might be, I do try to keep on top of what's happening in urban fantasy and paranormal romance.) Long review short: I did manage to finish this book, but I'm definitely going to stop there.

It turn out that there's at least one scene where one character is human and the other is not, and that is, it turns out, very much Not My Thing. I can't even recommend this book to you if that Is Your Thing, though, because the author is also really big into rape, . And it isn't as though the plot is especially compelling, or the metaphysics especially satisfying, either of which might (maybe, potentially) be a mitigating factor. I've got nothing to base a recommendation of this book upon.

This is a funny thing to admit, given how many romances I read, but lately, I find myself skimming or mostly skipping sex scenes in a lot of books. Anyway, it turns out, if you do that for this book, it is a VERY quick read. Which might be a recommendation, for some readers? But I know it's an anti-recommendation for others.

I'm happy this was a library read and not something I bought, at least.

So I was able to borrow this via my library app, and even though it was something I would usually go for, I love me some hot steamy paranormal smut.. This was a bit strange even for me.
So you have Alexandria who is trying to basically get away from life after she walks in on her fiance cheating on her. She ends up stranded in a blizzard and just when I think she is going to succomb to hypothermia she is "saved" by Stefan who happens to be a shifter.
Honestly she wakes up from her slumber with a naked dude behind her and she is good with it. I mean I get that she is all into her lust filled state but that is just a bit wierd, then he basically has her way with her and she never even looks up to see what he looks like or who he is? No condoms? Ever heard of STDs? I guess not but hey.
Next turn off, kinda, He wasn't fully shifted when they were having sex. I tried to block it out of my mind but who really wants to have sex with a dog? That can't be sexy. This book had very little plot and more just steamy hot times. I may go back for the rest of the series just to have some easy reads.

I honestly don't know where to start. First, maybe I should start thanking my dear Amanda for sending it my way with the warning that this book was really REALLY hot. Extreme hot. Well written and very respectfully hot (if you don't mind reading how a wolf has sex with a man). Ok, not that extreme, but I must say, that for those readers, WITHOUT AN OPEN MIND, do not even bother. Don't even try to open it or even understand it, because you will be offended (the scene with a wolf and the man is true! TRUE!)BUT, i think i have to explain a little bit so nobody gets confused:

This is a Paranormal Erotica/Romance in every sense of the word.

The Chanku, are a race of Wolves turned humans? or humans that can shift into wolves? I guess i didn't quite get that. Anton Cheval (whom I picture as some type of Val Kilmer back in Batman Returns)is the leader (besides being a magician) cool, i got that; but the book starts with the story of Xandi, narrated in third person (the whole book) you could believe the author is describing events as she see's them, but no, her writing style is quite particular and unique. I personally don't believe myself capable of writing anything the way she does (not even a thank you card) cause more than a narrator, i want to believe she is also a participant in each characters lives. As i said, this is your not quite usual or average writer, nor it is your average story written in first person or third for that matter in a common way.

I am troubled. I cant lie and tell you this is a FANTASTIC PHENOMENAL LIFE CHANGING book, because it's not. It's not even good, yet it does keep your attention from A to Z. I read it by chapters. I obviously couldn't carry this paperback edition all over the place with a naked couple in the front (save naughty books for night time LOL) and because it was a loan from my dear friend I just had to read it. I wont say its awful either, cause it's not bad. You find that each character has different troubles, different lives that somehow will merge. The fact that they are promiscuous, they encourage promiscuity between themselves, and justify it on their "race" is just an additional perk.

I don't know. I cant give this book 4 or even 5 stars because it is not an AWESOME book. Period. But i can't find myself giving it less than 3 either, because the story itself, divided in 4 characters, has a high dose of romance (in it's own particular way) the sex scenes tho disturbing are well written, and Anton is just a dream man (wolf?) that I honestly think is cute in also his own particular way.

Long story short: 3 stars, lots of conflict w the writing style and some content, if you want to judge yourself READ IT. I applied my GIVE IT THE BENEFIT OF THE DOUBT rule and can tell you i will read the next one in the serie.

Wolf Tales is Kate Douglas' introductory book into the world of the "Chanku", a group of people who have the ability to shapeshift between human and wolf. In the beginning of this first book, Alexandria, better known as Xandi, drives off the road in a bad snowstorm. Near death from freezing, she falls unconscious in the snow. She awakens in a warm bed, wrapped in the arms of a naked man who makes love to her throughout the night. Come morning, she finds herself once again alone on the side of the road. Unable to abandon her, her rescuer returns and takes her back to his home. She later finds that this man, Stefan, has been cursed by a powerful wizard, Anton, and therefore has become part man, part beast. She decides to go home with him and then together they decide to seek out Anton in order to have him undo his curse on Stefan. Little do they know that it isn't truly a curse, but rather something that is truly a part of Stefan that hasn't been fully brought out yet. And what about Xandi? Was Stefan's meeting of her by accident or could they have been meant to meet?

Kate Douglas does a wonderful job introducing readers to the Chanku world and establishing the backgrounds of several key characters in this book. The book is divided into parts. The first several books focus one at a time on each of the main characters in the book, and the last is kind of a conclusion where it brings all four people together as one, in a sense. The book is highly erotic and explores many variations of erotica such as lesbian, gay, group sex, etc... So readers looking for a "vanilla" book should probably look elsewhere, but anyone that is up for a bit of spice should definitely give this book a try because Douglas takes things above and beyond. In addition to the erotica aspect, there is also a mystery involved when a tabloid reporter is trying to track down one of the wolves. I highly encourage fans of erotica and paranormal to give this book a read because Douglas does a great job blending the storyline and erotica together.

This is the worst piece of trash I have ever read. I have read better smut on Literotica.

It was like Douglas tried to take something that was taboo (bestiality) and make it okay. She failed. HARD. Not only did she manage to write about bestiality, but rape, too. Within the first ten page of the book, the lead female wakes up in the dark to have sex with some naked wolfman stranger she can't even see and then goes on to make him let her live with him where they continue to have more sex for about 2 week. Apparently that's enough to fall in love with someone and not care about life anymore. Not only that, but the reason sex is so fantastic with him is because he has the penis of a DOG, knot and all, which she begs him to keep. Meanwhile, our little wolfman is lusting after the sorcerer who exposed him all to this, actually wanting the man to pretty much rape the wolfman (which isn't really rape since he wants it). Upon meeting the sorcerer, the wolfman is then "raped" by the sorcerer while the sorcerer is a wolf.

I stopped reading there.

In all the 76 pages that I read, the bestiality wasn't actually what made me hate this book. There was such an utter lack of plot line that this book couldn't even be considered a guilty pleasure book. I felt as if Douglas was trying to create plot line to explain the random sex that seemed to happen every chapter. Douglas also manipulated the characters responses and inner dialogue to make it seem as if their own feelings and thoughts conflict with what they really desire. The characters know that what they are doing is taboo, yet they still want to be raped by a wolf or have sex with a man with a dog penis.

Unfortunately for Douglas, the fact that she took something so socially taboo and tried to pass it off as an erotic novel without creating a realistic reason why any of it was happening made this book not only painful to read, but also near impossible to finish.

And before you bash me for not even finishing the book, I will tell you that I did read more than just the 76 pages. I know all about the Chanku and how the novel ends. I just couldn't force myself to read this piece of utter garbage in whole.

Alexandria just wanted to take a small vacation from her normal day to day life. What Xandria got was more than she imagined.

After crashing into a snow bank Xandria was rescued by a large sexy man whom made the most amazing love to her in complete darkness at his home. But when she awoke in the morning she was back in the snow safe but alone. Could she have just dreamed it all? No she was sore all over, the good kind of sore; the soreness of a great night.

Stefan should have just left her there to be rescued by someone else, and he certainly should never have brought her home and made love to her. Now against his better judgment he decided he can't leave her. He was kidding himself of he thought he could ever leave her after last night. But now in the light of day she will see what he truly is and will run from him in fear.

This is the first truly dirty book I've read. I enjoyed it I though, the story line was unique and intriguing. There is more to the story than just sex. The story is what kept me reading I wanted to know more about their race and how they came about, I didn’t learn as much as I’d have liked but maybe there will be more info in the next book.
I like the men, they are sexy and fun. There were some very sexy scene, but it’s like ordering a big helping of white chocolate fondue. You know you love white chocolate and you think you will eat it all but in the end it’s a bit more than you can take. There were times the scenes were a bit more than I normally like. It still was steamy and borderline scandals at times .It was a very quick and easy read.
A small warning though this book does have m/m and f/f and three ways, just so that you are warned before you read. I think I will try another book in this series, but not right away.

I didn't think much of this book, but toward the end I saw a mild improvement which prompted a slightly higher rating than I had initially thought. The first and foremost problem I had with this book, was the lack of story or plot, which is something I, as a reader, must have. What little story there was, ended up being mediocre, cheesy and under-developed. The almost translucent storyline also completely unfolded very early on in the book and it pretty much fit in one chapter all nice and neat. In addition, those small "spoiler" situations that could have been developed into perhaps a suspenseful mystery, were just left out there unattended and they were allowed to just fizzle out. Problem 2 of this book was the author's need to place an erotic sex scene on every single page of this book. Not terrible, but it would have been nice to have a story to go with all that steamy sex, which while appearing to be good, dealt with every single sexual partner combination known to man, woman and yes, beast.

On a more positive note, I found the author's writing style and the writing of the sex scenes in particular, good and well written. Most characters were developed well, some more developed than others, although a few needed a little more explanation and delving into, overall, it was good. Some unanswered questions, no doubt to be answered in book 2, but no major cliffhanger or anything like that. This is a rather long series, so I haven't quite made up my mind whether I will pick up book 2. If for nothing else, to see if the series improves.

Thanks for reading! :)

Oh.My.Lord!
This book had it all!
Terrible... just dreadful writing, awful characters and the most horrible, senseless plot ever!

God, this book destroyed part of my childhood, the whole thing reminded me of a porn version of the Beauty and the Beast.

There is something seriously wrong with this book, and I'm not even talking about the awful!, just... awful writing!, the author kept repeating things over and over again, the sex scenes either were the same (the breasts and the pop! every.single.time, the super extra long and thick cock touching the woman's womb) or I couldn't figure out who was were or who was doing what... and most of the time the main characters didn't make sense at all, I hated the women (God!, they were so idiotic!) and couldn't stand the guys (so much crying!!).
I never thought I'd say this but it's even worse than Lora Leigh, much much worse!

But here is my main problem, we have a guy who's half man, half wolf... now, werewolfs are hot, but the description of Stefan kept reminding me of a dog, especially when he was often compared to one. He had a muzzle wich Xandi kept kissing and licking, a super long dog-tongue wich could go all the way into a woman's vagina and, of course, Stefan's penis, wich wasn't human but dog like... that's just gross!
And as if that wasn't enough, they were all OK having sex with either a wolf or human, because, you know, they "love" each other so much and they're chanku so it's OK.

***Warning this book (and series as I have found out) is for people ages 18+***
contains borderline beastality
yes that's right folks I said the b word for a wolfish book. OK so yes Stefan does transforms back and forth from man to beast during sex. but something just does sit right with the whole sex while still a beast thing.
let's hope the next book is a bit better and less icky.
otherwise this was a really good book. yes there is a lot of sex but other than that it's OK...but just OK. not really my cuppa tea.

How can you describe this book half way through other than HOT HOT HOT. I would say that it's probably not for everyone . As it is VERY sexually explicit and involves mutli partners/bi partnering.

So far underlying story is very well done.

Update* All done.. Still HOT, might be to much for some and ok for others.. I can't say that I would recommend this book to anyone. To each their own.
