In a series of brilliant military actions, the Rhodesian security forces penetrated deep into Zambian territory and attacked training camps housing communist terrorists. The date was October 19th 1978.
The raids were a complete success and delivered a crippling blow to the terrorist cause showing the world that Rhodesia is more than capable of defending its territory against vastly superior numbers.
This book tells the story of the lives and loves typical of the Rhodesian troopies who took part in 'Operation Zambezi'.
Apart from the political figures mentioned in the story, the other characters are purely fictitious and bear no resemblance to any persons living or dead. Any likenesses are coincidental.
Although the fighting men and their women in the story have been drawn from the author's imagination, the incidents they portray follow the facts of the operation as reported in various news media.
Apart from attenpting to reinforce the European invasion of Zimbabwe and the sub-human view that they have of Africans, as well as their insatiable lust for death, the author does highlight some the challenges that faced and still face Zimbabweans in their land.
It also highlights how little regard Europeans have of Africa en total, this is expressed through the eyes of the author and his characters by their treatment of Zambia and Mozambique in the book.
