A well-crafted story!

Believable, relatable characters in a situation that feels very real. A good amount of tension. There is some violence, but it is sparse and well-placed, adding to the story without threatening to overtake the story. Well-written, too. The language and structure make for a very satisfying read.

What really got me was the underlying reason for the story, the "ripples" that reach way back into the MC's life. The author did a really nice job of holding that reveal until the right moment, and tells that back-story really well.

Great book for fans of crime thrillers, mysteries, and character-driven drama.
