INSIGNIFICANT: A Billionaire Romance, Part One of Three
I’ve spent the last ten years of my life giving everything I’ve got to Flame Industries and its owner, Thomas Flame. Ten years. I haven’t had much of a social life, and I definitely haven’t had a boyfriend during that time.
So, when my friends force me out for a night on the town to celebrate—albeit prematurely—my impending promotion, I decide to let loose for once. And when I say let loose, I mean drink one too many Manhattans and go home with an incredibly sexy, blue-eyed stranger named Tyler.
The sex was unbelievable, but the morning after was mortifying. At least, I’ll never have to see my gorgeous, asinine one-night stand again, right? He clearly felt nothing for me; I simply scratched an itch for him…and I’m sure he hasn’t given me a second thought since I ran from his apartment.
So screw him. Today is the day I've been waiting for. Today, I think I’m going to be the next CEO of Flame Industries. I can’t help but feel a horrible excitement at the prospect of running the company myself.
I’ve told my friends that I may not be the one Thomas will appoint, but truthfully, even I don’t believe that. There is no other option. I’m the only person capable of taking over the business and running it as he would. Haven’t I worked tirelessly to get to this point? Don’t I deserve this?
Of course I do. Anyone can see that. Especially Thomas.
Why, then, did he just stand up in front of the entire company and announce my one night stand as his successor?

So disappointed with this one. I really dislike short stories that have a cliffhanger just so you'll buy the next one. I purposely try to avoid those but this one slipped by somehow. I think if authors want you to buy their next book they should make sure their story is well written and worthwhile.
Annabelle was just told by her boss he's dying and resigning. She thinks the job is her boy, was she wrong. Her one night stand turns into her boss.

Turns out Tyler loves her and tells her. The book hints to some nefarious plot with her 13 year old sister that made her swear off men and feelings. She plans to tell Tyler she loves him too but overhears his dad telling him she's off limits so she lies tells Tyler she doesn't even like him and please pay for the next book to find out how it goes.
I don't t need to pay to figure out how this one ends. I'm not even a little curious more like furious dorm starting this one.
