Anne Carol grew up in the 1980’s, reading, writing, and listening to English rock bands. She continues to have one foot in the past, listening to classic alternative rock and watching old sitcoms. Anne writes about swoony musicians and, while she keeps a thread of hope in her emotion-packed stories, she doesn’t shy away from tough subject matter. When she’s not writing, Anne enjoys reading, traveling, hanging out with friends, wine tasting, and spending time with her husband and two teenage sons. She resides in Northern California, where most evenings you can find her curled up in front of a Hallmark movie with red wine and dark chocolate.

Never Fall by Anne Carol is a Christian YA novel set in the early 1980's and continues the story from book one in the Faithfully Yours series.
Marriage means life adjustments. It's not all a bed of roses. The wedding may be a fairytale but then real life follows. Anne Carol has written a gritty Christian novel dealing with hard hitting topics such as miscarriage, alcohol and drug abuse, suicide and violence against women. The reader enters the sometimes seedy world of the pop group and the groupie. Pressure to succeed means that sometimes characters make poor choices.
The novel shows the tension between wanting to be a good wife and being a normal teen hanging out with friends and having girls night's out. Sometimes the choices made are not always wise.
I am really enjoying this Faithfully Yours series. Anne Carol writes novels grounded in God but is not afraid to tackle gritty problems faced by the youth of yesteryear and today.

Never Fall picks up right after Never Let Go, book 1 in the Faithfully Yours series. Anne takes this teenage romance into marriage as we follow Beth and David's romance. I like that this series follows the couple through marriage. So many times we end at HEA and never get to revisit a couple again.

However, I admit, this one was a tough read. There were so many things that happen that broke my heart. At one point, I had to skim in order to keep from balling. Anne Carol does a great job at bringing emotion to the forefront.

The main characters in the book are late teens/early 20s so this series may not appeal to a big audience. I was intrigued by the book description with it being a 4 part love series between Beth and David and the story line sounded interesting.

I have read book 1 and I liked it at first but as the story line progressed, I became alot less interested and connected with the main characters.

It was noted in the front of the ebook and at the bottom of the book description that this "book has been revised from the original 2015 edition and is now told from a Christian worldview."

I didn't really feel that was the case. There's hardly any mention of Christian beliefs or God; and there's alot of alcohol, getting drunk, premarital sex, drug references, and swearing references (not the actual swear words) all throughout the book-even more so in book 2.

I almost read to the end of this book but stopped because I became increasingly frustrated with the David and Beth's major immaturity, jealously, commitment and communication issues... It was just not a story line that I wanted to continue to read any longer so I will not be reading any more books in this series.

I received a copy of this book complimentary for blog and social media review. All opinions are my own.

I'd been looking forward to Carol's second book, after being surprised at how much I enjoyed her first, given it isn't my usual genre. Never Fall follows the love story of young couple Beth and David as they start to mature and deal with all of the adversities that life throws at them. Newly married, living with his parents, dealing with being homesick, David on tour with his band and all of the vices that the life of a rock star bring. There were many highs and lows in this chapter of their journey. Carol has a wonderful way of writing without over dramatising things, but focussing on the emotions being felt in pivotal moments, which had me crying more than once, always a great sign that I'm loving a book. I love the connection that these two characters have, their grit and determination to make it work no matter what. They make some stupid decisions along the way, but that's what makes their story so realistic, they're young and naive, still finding their place in the world, and with each other. A beautiful piece of writing and I can't wait to read the next book to see what Carol has in store for them. My only regret is that having received an ARC copy in exchange for my honest review, I didn't make the time to read it sooner. A well deserved 5 stars.

Okay..first things first, tissues! And lots of them! What a emotional ride this book takes you on. We meet Beth and David once again together after what seems like forever and things seem to be falling back into place except they aren't. What do you do with alot of obstacles that come into play? I was conflicted through alot of the story but came out in the end understanding what was happening. I really love these two characters and I can't wait to read more from Anne.

David and Beth are together again and taking the next step in their relationship. They are finally together—in the same place and in marriage. David’s band is getting more recognition and Beth is pursuing her college education.

Anne Carol excellently portrays the highs and lows of marriage in Never Fall. David and Beth have some serious trials they must navigate. Add to it the constant stress of the band traveling, living with David’s parents, and so much more.

I’m not quite sure what to think about David. He is protective of Beth, always wanting her with him but he often comes across as possessive and selfish. It felt to me like Beth was too often giving up her dreams to let him follow his (although she’s not perfect either. Some of the choices she makes reveals her youth). But then something would happen, and David would show his heart—his loyalty and love—for his wife and my opinion of him would swing the other way.

Overall, I appreciate that Anne Carol is writing real-life for her readers. Life isn’t all roses and sunshine after the “I do’s” are uttered. And that is so important for everyone to remember. Life is fraught with trials that couples must navigate, and how they approach and walk through those trials makes all the difference in the bonds and strengths of their relationships.

Content warning: This book has a few topics that may be trigger issues for readers including miscarriage, assault, and substance abuse.

Never Fall is the second book in the Faithfully Yours YA series. You really need to read the first book, Never Let Go, in my opinion so you know what's been happening.

This book follows Beth and David into marriage and I am very conflicted about this story. While I do think it is realistic, there is too much described as far as drugs, sex, and more. I definitely would not hand this book over to a teenaged girl without first reading it to make sure you feel comfortable with her reading this.

They are struggling as a young couple as Beth continues with her studies and David starts to make it with his band. Unfortunately, we also see bad choices, possessivenss by David and more chances given him than he deserves. However, that said, Beth is no angel and make some poor choices as well.

This book was a lot darker than the first book and was a lot harder for me to read. It was probably more realistic rather than the "get away" feeling that most romance novels would have so be prepared for that.

I did enjoy it for the most part and give it 4 out of 5 stars.

I enjoyed, as ever, the London scenes...but beyond that, unfortunately, this series and I don’t seem to be “meant for each other.”

I hoped this book would be better than the first, but for me it proved to be more of the same. More time spent in the bedroom than out (I did a lot of skimming and wished for more/earlier fade-to-black, as a single Christian female who tries to watch what I put in my mind).

There’s quite a bit of drug and alcohol use and discussion throughout, which I also struggled with. I can see how it’s good to shed light on very real topics and struggles in the music world, but I just feel like this series exemplifies why I don’t read secular fiction.

I was also saddened at one character’s blatant acknowledgement of doing something as revenge in response to a (stupid) thing her husband had done. I just wanted to smack her at that point. I know, I’m not married and can’t 100% state I wouldn’t want to (or actually) do something out of spite or revenge, but man.

I also feel the writing style does a lot more telling than showing. Let the reader make some inferences! We are capable.

Never Fall, Book 2 of Anne Carol’s Faithfully Yours Series picks up where the first in the series, Never Let You Go ends. Beth has completed her last year of high and has chosen to attend university in Great Britain. David, having convinced his parents to allow him to skip university for a year to pursue his music, is finding it harder to get noticed by the music industry. Together the couple continues to explore the magnetic pull that draws them together.

Beth begins classes at university and David works at the small music store while pursuing his music, and Beth.

The young couple finds that a relationship is hard work and while full of good things, the tragedies the two endure serve to draw them even closer together.

I noted in my review of the first book that I initially felt the book a little young, I was hooked. Never Fall provided even more of a hook and I’m glad to have read both books thus far.

I received an complementary e-copy of this book from the publisher via Just Reads Tours and am not required to write a positive review. All thoughts and opinions, therein, are solely my own.

This is a Young Adult romance set in the 1980’s. The main character of the story is looking back at her life as the very young wife of an up and coming rock star. As their marriage faces the difficulties inherent to a rock-and-roll life on the road, they struggle to keep their marriage and relationship strong.

Lots and lots of emotional drama in this storyline. I did like the main characters. The writing is good. Take note: The rock and roll lifestyle setting and some other things in the storyline will not appeal to some Christian readers, even though there is a thread of faith that weaves in and out of the story, and I’d very strongly suggest that a parent read this book before giving it to a teenage daughter.

In Never Fall, the love story of David and Beth is continued after having survived a year of doing their relationship long distance. Life is full of the unexpected as they commit to their relationship and work through their differences as they tackle college, touring, and all that comes with life. I had to remind myself, at times, that Beth is pretty young in this story, hence why she responses to things the way she does. Anne does a wonderful job of showing some of the downside to fame, with David. While I felt like the story really matured with this book, it was a great continuation of their story.

Frustrated that I already read this book.
Not a typical Christian fiction. Though near the end of the book she is reading scripture.

Spoilers.

I think this series is more adult collage age than YA (which is high school in my opinion). Set in 1980 the characters are Married. There is a miscarriage ( described) attempted rape, drugs and drinking and marital sex (not overly described)

While the character in the story were adults, this story has a YA flair to it, seeing from a young person's point of view. The struggle with drugs, alcohol, and adult life decisions was well written and felt realistic.
I wanted to read the next book as soon as I finished this one!

4.5 stars!

I loved the first book in this series a lot, and I also made the Book Trailer for it! So when the author asked me to make a Book Trailer for this book and offered me an ARC, I instantly said yes! I started this book a few days after I received my ARC and I couldn't put it down once I started it! I wasn't sure what to expect from it after I read the synopsis, but I just loved it! The plot was also amazing and it continued on perfectly from the first book! It made me smile like crazy in the first maybe 25% of it, but then a lot of things started happening that had a big impact on the plot and the characters! I cried several times as the plot developed! It was very sad and a lot of upsetting things happened, but the plot had a lot of light points in it too! There were definitely plenty of twist and turns too, and I didn't see any of them coming! There were quite a few hot scenes as well, and the scenes were seriously hot! Overall, the plot was amazing, and even though it made me cry, I completely adored it! The characters were again amazing and totally made the plot for me! Beth was the main character, and she went through a lot in this book! My heart completely went out to her because I could see how hard it was for her to cope with everything! She was struggling with a lot of emotions and she had a lot on her plate! She was so strong though and she kept her head held high and tried to come to terms with everything! Beth had also come a long way from the girl she was at the beginning of Never Let Go! I felt like she had grown a lot as a character, as she was turning from a girl into a woman! It was amazing to read and I can't wait to see Beth develop even further as this series continues! David was again the love interest of Beth and I could easily see how much he loved Beth! He would give her the world if he could and their relationship was so, so beautiful! He was also very protective of Beth, which was completely understandable because of what they had been through, but David was a little bit too overprotective! David was also in such a predicament in this book, because he wanted to be there for Beth all the time, but he also wanted to have a career to be able to provide for her! I had a lot of respect for David because of this and I could understand why it was difficult for him! He was also really hot! The ending of this book was left at the perfect place for the next book! I also can't wait to read the next book in this series! I loved this book so much and I can't wait to continue Beth and David's story! I'm just annoyed that I have to wait so long to get my hands on the next book lol! It's going to be such a long wait lol! I'm really happy to hear that the author is writing a spin-off series to this series though! I'm definitely going to be reading it! The cover for this book is stunning! I love how well it suits the cover for the first book and the models on the front are the perfect Beth and David! Big thank you to Anne for an ARC of Never Fall!

A rock star romance that will tug at your heart!

This is the second book in the Faithfully Yours Series.

This is such an intense love story, between two people who married young. After the roller coaster that David and Beth went through in book one, I thought, it has to get better. It does! Even though their marriage isn’t perfect, the love they share is incredible.

It’s books like these that make you really believe in true love. After getting married at a very young age, Beth leaves her childhood home to be with her rock star husband, in London. Being in a new country is difficult, living with your in-laws, even more so, but the ups and downs seem to make them stronger.

"Beth, my angel, I knew from the moment I saw you that you were special..."

David, who started off as the sweet, meek English boy, turns into the bad boy rocker. He almost seems broken, and you feel the need to fix him. Let’s hope that Beth’s love and support will carry him through the next book.

"It wasn't hard falling in love with you, it was as natural as breathing."

In this second book, they both have to overcome such adversity that I was in tears, turning the page, in hope that they make it. You can’t help, but get tugged along with both characters, the emotion they both feel flies off the pages.

I can’t wait for the next two books; I definitely need to see what happens to these two incredible people.

Have you read book 1? If not, you will need to. The Faithfully Yours series is what I refer to as a continuous storyline. Each book is not a standalone. The story and characters are on a flow from one book to the next.
This 5 star second book begins where the storyline from book one ends. The primary characters are getting ready to take the next big step- start the next together journey.
There are a few items I suggest as needed to begin this adventure. A quiet place with all the free time you need to finish. Tissues!!! Lots of them. Recoup time after you read that ever so short coming last word. Direct PM to author opened so you can send her a " is book three ready yet?"
What an epic love story. Is it possible to find true love so young? Can young love survive? We continue to ask those questions as we follow these two inexperienced youthful lovers on their paths of life.
Storytelling that captivates. I have become completely attached. It feels so personal. So many obstacles, challenges, trauma, etc. I keep asking myself how a heart goes on.
Characters that feel like family. I felt every emotion. Definitely isn't an easy or simple connection. I kept wondering how much two hearts could take.
I find myself pondering what happens next. Can't wait for the next .
Strongly recommend. AndreaGAH ( arc)

This book takes off right where Never Let Go leaves off and is the beginning of David and Beth's lives as newlyweds and everything they go through.

This book is much darker than the first as Beth must deal with David's increasing jealousy towards any guy she talks to and in turn how Beth must deal with women recognizing David now that he is on tour and gaining recognition with Vinyl Fog. As Beth continues with her university studies several events put her schooling on hold. With David unable to deal with mounting pressure will the two come undone?

This book has a lot of heartbreak for Beth and David and being so young they each deal with it in different ways and their communication is not always there. They go through so much in this book that is almost overwhelming for them and I personally think that Beth is on the verge of losing who she really is in this book in trying to cope with everything. David of course is unable to cope and it is super sad what he is risking.

I really enjoyed this book but I am really hoping that the next book is a little lighter as they went through so much in this one. Beth deserves so much and I hope she is able to find it soon!

This book should be given to all teenagers who want to get married young. You see the ups and downs of a relationship (even if you take the rock star part out of the equation). I do believe that David is starting to get way too possessive of Beth. I liked that Beth finally had a friend.
What I didn't like was all of the arguing over dumb stuff. Beth gave David one too many chances, his bad attitude/possessiveness/wrong assumptions should've been a hard limit for Beth, and she should've given him an ultimatum at least once in the first third of the book.
As it ends, I want to read the next book, just to see if David can get his act together. I do hope that they both mature a great deal in the next two books.

I was not disappointed at all with this sequel. Having devoured Faithfull Yours 1, Never Let Go, I was eager to read the continuation of David and Beth's love story. they certainly haven't had an easy time of it with David's music career taking off and Beth trying to continue her studies along with personal traumas that are set to test their relationship to the very limits. A heart wrenching tale of how love can only overcome so many barriers before two people who care for each other so deeply risk hurting that one special person who has stood by them through the very worst of times. written with true depth and empathy taking the reader on the journey with them, I couldn't put this book down. I eagerly awake book 3.

The epic love story just continues for these two amazing characters! There are many twists and turns but what David and Beth always remember is that in the end love is all that matters... The beginning of this book was just absolutely perfect and from there it all flowed! I did find myself wanting to smack both characters every now and then but the way they overcame and fixed what was going in made me love them so much more... And now I have to wait for book 3, and I hope it goes fast because I can't wait to read it!!!

David and Beth

Another great book in the series as the months and years pass by. David and Beth face many struggles that help them grow closer and yet they have their own hidden darkness that tries to tear their hearts apart. Beth is still quite immature but she's having to finally grow up and be strong for David as he faces rehab. (Note to author-I was hoping of falling right into book 3 but I see it's not due until Fall..I may go through withdrawals just like David! You have put your fans in rehab unexpectedly. Ahhhh!!!)

Since I couldn't put the first book down, I was extremely happy that I had the second in the series ready to go immediately. I don't know how I am going to wait so long for the next one! Beth and David have let me into their lives and made me feel what they are going through which means that I cried and giggled, smiled and felt heartbroken right along with them. I can't wait to see where things go in for them in the future.

Fantastic! These characters brought me through an emotional roller coaster. I was happy for them and rooted them on, I was sad and angry at times. I feel like this book brought them to life. The first book introduced us and I felt like I may want to get to know them, this one made me fall in love. I recommend this book to anyone going through young love, this is a real book about real tribulations and trials with humor and honesty.

Wow, this whole story felt like some TV movie, I really didn't want it to stop. At times I felt sick because I didn't want all the bad things to have happened to Beth and David. Seeing their marriage have it's struggles felt so real it made me sad. But that's what made this entire story excellent. I loved the first story, I loved the second one and now I'll be waiting for the next one.
Looking forward to reading the next adventure in Beth and David's life.

The premise of Anne Carol’s Faithfully Yours is a fascinating one simply because romance novels rarely look beyond the beginnings of a relationship into what “happily ever after” truly means. These first three books—Never Let Go, Never Fall, Never Change—explore the romance between Beth and David from the moment they meet through marriage and pregnancy. Their relationship experiences many realistic ups and downs, equal parts of the frustrating and the happy. I enjoyed seeing Beth and David mature and learn on love and commitment, trust and faith through the three books, and I’m interested to see what the next book, Never Give Up, has in store for the couple.
