Brian Tracy describes Hiring & Firing as the the two most important tasks of the manager.
Hiring is complex and uncertain while firing is stressful and difficult. If the manager wishes to contribute his full potential to the organization then he must learn the art of both hiring and firing. The ability to select team members is critical to the success of the enterprise and to the success of the manager.
The book is full of tips as to improve one’s hiring and firing abilities to enhance productivity, to increase performance and profits and to bring about .higher levels of cooperation, team work and harmony in an office or workplace.

The one thing here that really stands out to me is the firing is so humane and exceptional that it's something that I want to replicate, and it gives me food for thought on how I've been wrongfully terminated in the past and I think it would be worth it for anyone that's been terminated if they can seek free consultation, to do so.

All the 21 principles shared by the author are very practical in hiring and firing an employee. Don't be haste in hiring but fire fast.
