3-3,5 stars.
I usually get tricked by the Greek setting of such books into reading them and forget how annoyed I become with the bad use of Greek people and place names. But despite of all that I enjoyed this story enough to want to read the next one as to find out what happens next.
Pollyanna is exactly as her name suggests: sweet and innocent and as Kyrillos accurately states: "she has the naive assumption that everyone she meets is destined to be her friend".
Kyr is the classic alpha-male-asshole, blaming his broken heart to be the cause of his cynical and distant behavior. I don't like him at all and I hope he'll improve in the next book. Polly is too good for him right now and he doesn't deserve her.
What is surprisingly pleasant about this story is that how Polly isn't at all overwhelmed with his rich status, there isn't any "pretty woman transformations", instead Kyr finds himself often doing things Polly's way: simple pic-nics, field work etc. I found it refreshing how the author avoided many of the rich guy- poor girl tropes.

I picked this up as a freebie solely because of its title. The book was originally a trilogy with very short installments. (all together it’s a little over 250 pages) I’m feeling really lazy at the moment, so I’m leaving as a 3⭐, and posting 1 review for them all. This will be completely spoilery, so stop if you want to read this. (there're major spoilers ahead)

I read several reviews before starting, so I had a certain expectation in my head on how this would shake out, and it certainly was not as deliciously scandalous as I predicted. I think you’re enjoyment will probably depend on your soapy preference. If you want totally safe, or OTT angsty drama-llama… you might want to keep looking. If you want some light OW drama angst without a cruel H… you might be happy.

Book 1- The book opens with Kry having sex with his long-time love Ana. Shortly after, Ana breaks his heart by leaving him to chase her dreams in America. Much of the book is a jaded Kry meeting, and becoming attached to sweet, naïve 18-yr old Pollyanna. Unlike most HP’s this isn’t an instant hook-up, he initially wants her, but respects her desire for friendship. Over time it grows, but Kry is very firm that they always stop before cashing in her V-card. One night all this changes, when he learns that Ana is getting married, and is really sad. Polly decides offering sex is the best cure, she gets naked, and proceeds with the usual dry humping. (Is it still dry humping if they’re naked?) The point is, he is telling her no while she’s slipping him in, not that he doesn’t want to, but wants her to stay a virgin more. In a nutshell, she was the instigator, and he was in the ex’s bed to take a nap, not to pretend she was Ana. So, this wasn’t the nefarious deed that I’d predicted based on the reviews. He’s not bitter or cruel, doesn’t feel trapped, which killed the angst-fest potential for me.

His eyes closed. “Be patient with me, psaraki.” And before he realized what he was doing, he was already bending down to press a soft kiss on her hair, committing everything to her – everything except his nonexistent heart.

He wasn’t in love with her, couldn’t ever be, because his heart had long been destroyed.

He could not lose her. He could not. “Marry me.”

She already meant too much to him, and to lose her would destroy him.

I will take care of you, psaraki. I have sworn to make you the happiest girl in the world, and I will not break my word on our wedding day.

Book 2- The book picks up with the couple’s marriage, and spans over several years. I thought he was going to be a jerk hung up on Ana, but I will say (disappointedly) that there isn’t any real drama here. He never really thinks of Ana. His narrative is mostly that he doesn’t have a heart to give, not that he’s waiting around for the ex. He’s committed to making her happy, he defends her to others, goes on midnight preggers craving runs, he even bakes her a cake. Then, he learns Ana is getting divorced, and I was rubbing my hands together, but we only get this.

…if he did anything to contact Ana, it would break his wife’s heart. Even if he only wanted to talk to his ex, even if he would never betray Polly, he knew that his wife would never understand, and a part of him started to resent her for it… Pollyanna was just too sensitive. She would never understand, and he would never risk their marriage for anything.

Sigh...Several years pass, and two kids later the black moment happens. Ana shows up!! He’s been ignoring her letters, and phone calls, and she wants him back. Originally, he’s cold, and offended that she showed up on his anniversary, but then he starts thinking about old times.

Ana, his Ana, the first girl, the only girl he had ever loved, and she was back. Ana. All his dreams from boyhood--- Could they be his again? Could he make them come true? And it was as if she had heard his every thought, with Ana curling her arms around his neck, pressing her body close to his as she whispered achingly, “I’m so sorry for leaving you, Kyr. Please take me back. I’m begging you. Please, and we can have everything back again.”

Ana was begging him to take her back, just like he had always dreamed of. It was his chance to destroy her the way she destroyed him. But the words were locked in his throat.

Ana. The girl he had loved over a decade.....

Ana. The girl who had known him inside and out... Ana.

Her lips touched him. At the same time, Kyr heard his wife’s voice behind him.

She runs off, and he realizes how much he loves her but it’s too late. He killed her love.

Book 3- The book picks up after the betrayal. He does meet with Ana, and is wise to meet her in public. He tells her he loves his wife, to leave him alone, never contact him again, etc. But, most of the book is Kyr groveling/kissing her ass while she angrily shuts him down. This book should appeal to all the readers that feel the h’s forgive too quickly, because this drags on for almost 100 pages. It started out great (I love a good grovel) but it got old. I liked sweet Polly, not the bitter Polly. Finally, she forgives him after a talk with one of her kids. I’m still confused why that “I’m sorry” was any different than the other hundred. Then, we have the most bizarre, cringiest, out of left field epilogue I’ve ever read. (and I've read a lot of books) They have sex at the podium (on a dark stage) while they're hosting a bingo game at a school fundraiser, because she told him she “wouldn’t ever be a potty-mouthed wife” and he never says no to a challenge.

Oh my God, he was thrusting hard now, pounding into her, and no matter how she tried not to react, it was impossible, and her body began to rock noticeably against the podium… Everyone was staring at them now, and she could see realization starting to dawn on them…

“It’s a fucking O for orgasm, O 69!”

She came, screaming, “Biiiiiiiiiiiingooooooooooooooooo!”

WTF??!!

Bottom Line- It was a bit of a dud for me. We all have different opinions of what constitutes cheating. I live on a steady diet of angsty reads so my “pretend world” limits are pretty high. For example, one of my friends thought he emotionally cheated on her in book 2 (which is her right) but I wasn’t feeling it. They never spoke or interacted, and he rarely thought of her. Even after learning she was divorced his internal musings never touched on Ana. Along those lines the “cheating” didn’t really bother me either. It was a peck, maybe it could’ve turned into more (we’ll never know) but for me her reaction was WAY OTT… but that’s me. 😊

Part 1 seemed ok, soon as you get to Part 2 it went downhill. Just didn't keep my interests. Lately every book that is recommended from groups is a big FLOP!

Well, I’m kinda a sucker for this sort of cliche story.

I blame it on Harlequins. 🤷🏼‍♀️. Innocent young miss seduced by older jaded hero. She has stars in her eyes and thinking of *FOREVER*. And he, a damaged commitment-phobe, intends a fling and doesn’t see he’s just as in love…

Anyway, this book is definitely that…. Except he really is pining for someone else… and this book ends in a cliffy where he asks the deflowered naive h to marry him even though he’s clearly only doing it because his first choice is getting married to someone else….

So, that’s not super satisfying. This first book was free, so I’m only out a couple hours at this point. But the other 2 books cost real money, so I went review diving to see if it was worth the purchase….

And based on the reviews I’m going with a “hell no” on that. The hero takes 8 years to pull his head out of his ass. Fancies himself in love with someone else the whole time, and the h stays in the dark until she finds him kissing the OW. Sounds awful. So I shall bail here.

(Special mention: the “blowfish” description was super weird. I tried to kinda roll with it, but it made me grimace everytime he said it. It made their situation even more cringe because he didn’t seem to find her very attractive…. I’m sure he never would have likened his beloved with a description that off-putting… 👀😐🙄)

Bottom line? It was passably interesting but I’m not keen on continuing. ⭐️⭐️⭐️

emotional cheating ==

.He had always thought he was holding himself back with Pollyanna because he didn’t want her hurt. And that was true, but not completely so. Kyr had held himself back because he hadn’t wanted Pollyanna hurt if Ana came back to him. A part of him had still been waiting for Ana to return and that part of him had been ready to take her back. But now he knew that wasn’t ever going to happen.
Because he, too, was as dead as her parents were to Ana.
.
Ana was marrying someone else.
The thought left a bitter taste in his mouth.
Had he meant nothing to her at all?

He had just selfishly used an innocent eighteen-year-old to drive away his demons.
What did he do now?

He wasn’t in love with her, couldn’t ever be, because his heart had long been destroyed.

If she left for university, who the hell knew if the same thing wouldn’t happen again?

How on earth did this guy get rich because he is duuuummbbb!
You can see a mile off that he is smitten with the h but nope he reckons he is in love with OW who dumped his ass.
the h is a literal Pollyanna who just wants to make the H happy. He really did take advantage of her and for that I give it a low rating.

Great start to the series. I love Pollyanna's innocence and her love of life. She is just what Kyr needs....even though he does not know it yet.
Looking forward to starting the second book!

Update: just reread this cute series. I do like Ms. Tee’s older books better than the newer ones.

This is the first part of this trilogy and was my least favorite of the three. Pollyanna is only 18 when the story begins and incredibly naive and innocent. She’s sweet and kind though, so I didn’t dislike her. This book covers the very beginning of her and Kyrillos’ relationship.

DNF 11%. The narration is irking me. Pollyana is an annoying paragon who, despite being 18, acts like she’s 40. I can’t be bothered to continue.

*received an arc in exchange for an honest review*

This was as adorable as it was sad and maddening. Pollyanna's a sweet girl, and the only one on the island who has no idea of the secrets lurking so close to home. I absolutely loved Kyr and his cantankerous attitude the whole duration of this book, and it was sweet to see him slowly open up. Until it all went to hell.

The writing was amazing, immediately drawing me in and making me forget that I was ever reading words on a page. The dialogue- inside and out the mind -flowed nicely, and again, I'm surprised at how much I found myself drawn to Kyr. He's on my naughty list right now but his initial reaction to her, his first impressions on meeting Pollyanna, made his previous feelings and character seem more real. There was no fall first think later for him, he had a torturous fall while completely aware of it all (good for you).

As part one to their story, the romance's build-up was extremely sweet on Polly's end, totally had me in rapture. Kyr's was a little more bittersweet because he fought with facing his past and keeping his future. If 'part one' didn't clue you in on this having a cliffhanger, then I'm here to tell you it ends on a doozy of a cliffhanger. It never fares well to hang on a cliff like that, but in this case I'd say I'm glad it didn't leave me like it had the chapter before. I was an emotional wreck.

I recommend this really cute story with the full course meal of drama, the hot amazing sexuals, and the ill-mannered thoughts of a Greek billionaire who just can't seem to be any different from the Tin Man himself: cold and heartless. But don't read it for that jerk of a man, read it for the breath of fresh air and almost fairy-tale like wonder that is Polly's life, set on the beautiful Greek island, Teleios. Definitely makes me think back to my first love.

Kyr loved only one girl, his high school sweetheart, Ana. When Kyr's parents die in an accident, he inherits a mass of debit. He knows it will take a lot of hard work. He tells Ana it will take a few years, but he will make the resort profitable.

Ana is spoiled by her parents and Kyr. The Islanders think she is proper and sweet, and perfect for Kyr. Ana always dreamed of leaving the island and making it big. Kyr ask Ana to wait until he can make the resort a success. When he catches Ana sneaking off the island, he's devastated. He tells her if she leaves, she loses him forever. When she left, she destroyed his heart.

Pollyanna is visiting her Godparents for the summer. She meets Kyr, the arrogant Billionaire. She worms her way into his life. She shows him how to have fun and enjoy life. She is sweet, kind, and selfless. She falls madly in love with Kry, not knowing he has no love to return.

You can't help but love these Greek billionaires. Ms. Tee knows how to write like no one else when it comes to these sexy arrogant men. Kry is starting out a little tamer then the other Greek men........I didn't use my tissues :) But, I think she's going to hit us hard in the next two books. I hate the waiting between books, the suspense kills me !!!! I think Ms. Tee gets sadistic pleasure with her cliffhangers ;)

As usual, Ms. Tee delivers.

Overall - All 3 books 2.5*.
This book (Part 1) - 3*

I've read all 3 books in this serial and this are my thoughts on the whole series, though each section has been star rated individually as well. My first Marian Tee read, and the phrase 'from the sublime to the ridiculous' came to mind. Sublime may be too strong a word but there were moments of angst and betrayal in this 3 part series that were angsty delicious. You wondered how 8 years of being effectively the 2nd choice could be redeemed, and mostly it was because part 3 was pretty much one long grovel. Then there were moments which felt like they'd been tacked on to make the sex scenes racier and cross into the erotica genre. Some of it was just ridiculous, especially the epilogue. I'm ignoring a slew of smaller issues and inconsistencies because if the book is gripping enough those can often be glossed over. So, worth the read? yes because of the subject matter but not sure if its enough for me to try another Tee book.

Marian's newest Greek Billionaire series starts out with an emotional rollercoaster, which any fan is used to. I went back to Love, Your Greek Billionaire to reread the part that included Kyrillos, since it's been a while since I read it. Knowing where this story is going doesn't make it any harder to get involved with the characters. I love these books, and this one is fantastic so far. I have faith that the sweet story of Kyrillos, a Greek billionaire, and Pollyanna, a sweet, innocent regular girl, has very happy ending...eventually.

Anyone that knows me, knows that I am a huge fan of Marian Tee. I love all the books of hers that I've read so far, and this one is no exception. The only reason it didnt get a fifth star is because it's a little too short for me.

In exceptional Tee style, we have our ruggedly handsome Greek billionaire, Kyr, who gave his heart to his childhood sweetheart, only to have it broken many years later, when she coldly threw it back in his face.
And then we have our beautiful, fresh faced, young innocent, Pollyanna.

She stumbles upon him accidentally, unknowing that he is the owner of the resort that her new friend works at.

And so starts our not quite so, love story.
Basically, she loves him, but he is no longer capable of such an emotion. That would require a heart, which he no longer has.

So, the twist...Pollyanna is staying with her Godparents, learning about their trade before she goes off to university.
Her Godparents... remember me telling you about the woman that broke his heart? Yeah, that one. Well, guess who her parents are...

And now... let's see how this 'love' story unfolds, because, in my humble opinion... it ain't gonna be pretty.

Pollyanna fell in love with a billionaire that she married only to find out years later that their love was a lie. When Pollyanna leaves Kyr realizes that she was the best thing to happen to him. Will they find their way back to each other before it's too late? This is a well written story that kept me glued to the characters with my emotions all over the place with the twists and turns to this story.

I received a free copy of this book via Cherrylily ARCs and am voluntarily leaving a review.

The story was okay, I was pleasantly surprised by a cute and slow burn courtship where I had been expecting quick seduction from the "greek billionaire". That said, the writing is still a bit amateurish and could have gained from some editing. It still is an okay read if you really, really like reading about very, very naive ( even a bit dumb) heroines coupled with astoundingly jaded Greek Billionaines. Ahh so many billionaire, it seems everyone but me stumbles upon one left and right...

This series is one of my least favorite series by Marian Tee. I couldn't wrap my head around to like Kyrillos Gazis. Yes, he's gorgeous but I don't like all the lies that he holds back from Pollyanna. It's a great read, but I had issues with our hero.

Innocence

Pollyana is innocent, happy, simple and Kyr is broken, dark, moody and does not believe in love.
Little by little, Polly brings the Billionaire to life.
