The returning threat and Erlendr's part in it is dramatic and satisfying. Each man shows a different kind of strength and is tested to his limits. The battle is not won without sacrifices and I thought that made the story richer and more realistic. Sex is steamy and rough with the addition of milk play. Each part of this serial is very compact and dense so that it feels longer and fuller than you would expect. I found it a very substantive trilogy and would love to be able to purchase it as a compilation into a single story. I would love to read more by this author.
