Reading the book took me around a month. I couldn't read whole once because it was like a conversation and I need to think and do response. I have watched a lot of movies. I always consider myself as a good audience. It is the first time which I feel that a director respected me. He considered my opinions and memories as a part of his movies. I never ask others’ opinions about a person, or a teacher, or a country, or a class. Instead I always ask people to describe them. I find out, it is the same method which Kiarostami used to tell a truth or stories. He let you think and conclude by yourself. He omitted unnecessary details which the audience can create them in their mind. During the filmmaking workshop (6 days) he explained how he made his movies, e.g how he spoke with both actors in “the taste of cherry” and then edit and cut the shots. In film audience just watch the conversation of two actors, which never happened. He explained how he used the ordinary people as an actor/actress. How he directed the children. How he started to be a filmmaker by a chance. He is also a poet and his movies are also like a poetry. After reading the book I love more Kiarostami.
