This book was really good and let readers see many views in society. A second wife,a stepmother, a beautiful woman and a female cop. And I have to say the things they reveal about the cops got me questioning so it's a good read if your a woman trying to get into police work.

Although this book told a fascinating story, it was so full of typos, wrong words and spelling errors it was distracting. I must say that I am angry on Bembenek's behalf, now that I have her story. That seems to be the goal of the book overall.

Very interesting. I saw many flaws in her case yet nothing was done. I wonder how she is now.

I just realized that she has dies. I hope she found some happiness after being released.

An old book found while searching the shelves in the library; pretty scary examples of discrimination and blatant corruption.

I lost track of the amount of typos in this book as there are so many. I found the last of the book very boring and repetitive. I think the author could have detailed Laurie's escape better which would have added something to it. I could barely read 10 pages at a time near the end as it was no longer captivating.
