**A Fun, Standalone SCOTTISH HIGHLANDER TIME TRAVEL SHORT STORY ROMANCE - newly extended and revised for Summer 2016**Gwen has hit bottom. She is beyond “down on her luck” after splitting from her boyfriend (who, of course was a cheating bastard) and thinks things can't possibly get any worse when, broke and bereft, she is forced to move into a crumbling basement apartment. She had given up everything to make things with her boyfriend work and he only threw it all back in her face. Now, out in the world alone and on her first night in her new place she comes across something that will change her life forever. There, beneath the floorboards she finds what at first just looks like some junk left behind by the last sloppy tenants. But soon she will find it is hardly junk. The ancient sword she has found will lead her into an unimaginable adventure, turning her life more upside down than she could have ever imagined. By some miraculous means far beyond her comprehension, she is transported back to ancient Scotland, where she meets the handsome Andrew Urquhart, a man determined to win back his people's lands and lead his clan to the victory they have so long deserved. What Gwen doesn't know is that her life has far more reach and significance in this long ago past than she would have ever thought possible. She is actually an integral part of his plan. But now that she is there, an in the face of the intense passions that have built between her and this almost mythical man, will she ever be able to return to her old world? Or is this strange place actually where she was always meant to be? I am just your ordinary stay at home mum...so just so happens to love writing hot tales of alpha males and the ladies that love...or at least lust after them. I live in the countryside in a far away magical place...but spend some time across the pond in the Big Apple too! I hope you love my shifter tales...and/or some of my biker tales too! Lately shifters have taken my fancy though...! Thanks so much for stopping by ; )
Gwen has some changes in her future. Her 2-year relationship with her boyfriend has ended, and she is down on her luck. She has to move into a dilapidated basement apartment with just her few belongings. After cleaning and unpacking, she finds a sword. The sword transports her through time to the midevil land of Andrew Urguhart.
This book was mechanical. It didn’t provide enough information and descriptors for me. It Lacked dimension. The potential of a 5-star review is there. The premise is wonderful. If the author expands the content.
3 Stars for me and high hopes for more regarding Gwen and Andrew.

Pretty terribly written. It is too short as others mention, but I’ve also read plenty of novellas that make the reader feel a connection with the story and characters within the shorter format, but this does none of that. I’d give it less than one star if I could.
Gwen loses her love when he betrays her,so she moves to a rundown basement apartment where she finds a beautiful old sword. She plans to have it appraised in the morning thinking her luck has changed and it has but not as she thinks it will. Gwen is shocked as she wakes no longer in her apartment or even in her time, she is in the past and looking a a very handsome highlander. Andrew Urguhart a warrior who takes her and the sword to his castle, his father is also happy she has arrived as they had waited many years for the sword to be returned. Now they could win back there honor and lands. He also offers her a chance to return to her time. She could return to her old life or decide that she loves the life she could have in the past. What will she chose?
Although I usually don't like short stories, I enjoyed this. Two of my favorite subjects, Time Travel and Historical Romance. I feel like there were many areas that could have been improved and expanded, but overall this was a good read. I would recommend this story to those who enjoy short stories, Time Travel and Historical Romances.
This time travel story revolves around a sabre found by Gwen who is down on her luck with relationships which transports her back to medieval Scotland to provide the original owners good fortune in their battle to reclaim their land. Good story, but had the potential to be expanded into so much more.
Time travel combined with Scottish Romance is always a winner. While I don't read short stories normally and I took a chance on this one. For its type it was good. Had only good characters no evil vilian just a clan to defeat. No battle details. Just romance and happily ever after style ending.
This is a very short time travel story. It can easily be read during your lunch break. It is a good start to Gwen and Andrew's story, but I felt like it could have been so much more. When I got to the end, it felt unfinished.
It’s way too short! I could have read 300-400 pages of her writing. The pace was excellent. I was caught up in the story from the start. Jessica Savage will be a bestseller if she keeps writing like this.
Into the Highlanders World is a short story about a rejected woman who is sent back in time to fulfill a prophecy by returning a stolen sword that was robbed from a grave. After finally finding love the must make a choice. Return to the present 2015 or stay in the 1600's with her true love?
Too short. This would make s great full length book.
This is a very short novella that with some story development would have been an outstanding book. All the elements are there for a full length book but it didn't go far enough. The story was good and I was getting into it but as soon as I saw how quickly it was racing ahead, I knew it was going to only be a quick read. I hope the author has full length books also because I think she would do really well. Her style is good, she has great characters but there is nothing I dislike more than a rushed, incomplete ending.
This story needed to be developed into a full book because it has far too much crammed into too few pages to seem anything other than completely absurd. I like the premise, but the development sucked. Also, there were too many spelling and grammar errors. 2 out of 5 stars.
Good book, easy to follow story. Short and sweet and to the point. I do wish the book was just a little longer to follow the characters and know what the future had for them.
Gwen in modern time Washington DC finds a sword in her new apartment and it transports her back Into the Highlander's World in another time. She brings her clan luck to win back their holdings and falls for the handsome son of the clan leader, Andrew. It is pure fantasy but a fun read.
One star ...This book sucks!...Shortest story...Fast...No storyline..Fast loose characters..This author is terrible..I would not read any more of her books
*I voluntarily read a review copy of this book. All opinions stated are solely my own and no one else's*
This was a very short read and had so much potential. Everything felt rushed - I felt like I was on a runaway train getting quick glimpses of everything.
The overall story was good, shame it wasn't padded out more.
