This is a book that doesn't have any deep meaning, but just gives a summary of everything that happens to make a MLB baseball game. It focuses on the vendors, grounds crew, players, fans, child admirers etc...

One thing I thought was really cool about the book was that it was illustrated to model Yankee Stadium (old Yankee Stadium). The flag poles, ad signs and bleachers looked like the storied ballpark. A savvy baseball fan might notice it.

Lots of great vocabulary, but too long for little kids that want to learn how to play.
I was hoping for a book that was simpler in describing how to play the game.
But it does go through the process of preparing the field and players getting ready by getting dressed and stretching. Talks about the ticket collectors on the turnstiles the national anthem the snacks. I'm gonna look for another book that teaches about baseball.
