The truth is that if you are holding resentment toward someone who hurt you, you are not hurting them; you are hurting yourself. The other person goes on with their life, but your bitterness will tear you up on the inside and rob you of your destiny. There is too much at stake to wallow in unforgiveness. The devil may have ripped you off in your past, but don't let him rip you off in your future! ~ Larry Huch, Free at Last, Page 202.

This book is organized well. It has questions to answer at the end of every chapter and all answers cause you to look up the answer in the Word of God. Also, there are prayers and testimonies throughout this book to work through the material and encourage you that you are not alone with what you may be in bondage to.

I felt a few chains come off my life as I read this book and said the prayers. One of the statements that was repeated throughout this book is "you can't change the past, but you can change the future!"

Too often our past holds us back from pursuing our dreams or purpose we know we are called to fulfill. This book explains how to finally rid oneself from these chains. Some of the tools for ridding one from the chains of the past mentioned in this book are:

● Forgiveness: Unforgiveness can limit God from working in our life;

● Renewing of the mind: Old thoughts need to be washed with the Word of God and good solid biblical teaching;

● Generational curses: You could have been corrupted through your family line. This curse was broken on the cross and the blood of Christ has totally set you free from any curse. You are free and blessed;

Let the past be the past at last! :)

Amazing insight into generational strongholds. "We do not war against flesh and blood....but against principalities..." God created us and sent His Son to save us but also give us freedom! He loves us and wants the absolute best for us! He gave us hope and a future!

For anyone that has a history of family addictions, this is a great read. Also, to make sure curses are not passed down to your children! The biblical truth is very clear in how we are to bless our children and the ways in which to do it.
