I found Mark's careful approach to Scripture and his laying out of the timeline of the life of Jesus very informative. His clear explanation of complex material was easily accessable to non-scholars.

I really felt close to God as I read this. It helped me feel like I was right along with Jesus and the disciples, so much so I was actually a little sad when He ascended! It's a good thing He sent the Holy Spirit to continue his work!
