4.5 VEGAS BABY STARS
This is the story of Reed Landry who we have seen in previous books from CM Steele. He is the biological brother of Rose from the previous book My Christmas Rose. And these two stories are interconnected but not interdependent. You can easily read each book individually without issue.
Of these two book, this one is my favourite.
Reed and Dani make one passionately hot couple.
The hero, Reed, is willing to do whatever it takes to be with her from the moment he first sees her.
He drops his current girlfriend
"Because of his attraction to Danielle, he’d broken up with his last girlfriend, Eve. She wasn’t too happy with being dumped, but Reed didn’t give a shit. No part of him wanted anyone else but Danielle. It hadn’t been a long standing relationship."
To him,
"No one compared to the fantasy that he had built up in his head of him and Danielle. Winning her was his plan, and Reed wasn’t above stalking."
Therefore, when her brother and his best friend asked him to check on Dani (who happens to be on a business trip in Vegas) Reed jumps at the chance.
This could be the beginning of an amazing relationship and Reed was going to tempt his luck. And what better place to do this than VEGAS BABY!
However, this would prove to be more than a challenge in this case as these two families share some bad blood!
But Reed comes to Vegas with a plan
"If she gave him a chance before he left Vegas, he was breeding her. That way she would be his and the Landry name couldn’t change that."

I loved this book and I really enjoyed getting to know both these characters and their family.
Plus, I got to see what happened to Rose from the previous book.
I have read and reread it already and I would recommend it as a sweet holiday treat with love and family being served up along with some insanely passionate sexual encounters.

I liked this one more than the first book. It's a safe light read.
It was about Reed Landry and Danielle Kane. Danielle was 21 and I think Reed's 29.
Reed and Dani first saw each other at a restaurant and they were attracted to each other right away. After 2 months, they still think of each other. He even broke up with his girlfriend after he saw Dani. He also found out something
Spencer (H from book 1 and Dani's older brother) and Reed were great friends. He asked Reed to keep an eye on his sister since they're both going to Vegas that same week.
At the hotel in Vegas, she was about to enter the elevator when a group of women exited. Reed was on his way to her and the women were flirting with him and told him he can do better than Dani. Reed defended her and kissed her in front of them. He asked her to go out to dinner with him. They had dinner together and were enjoying each others company until she asked his last name and found out he's a Landry and Spencer's friend. She got mad because his uncle set her family up. She went to a nightclub to meet her men clients. He followed her there but he was not allowed to enter the v.i.p. room so he waited for her. Something happened but he didn't know it
Reed and Dani got married that same night and spent the night together. But the next day, she left while Reed was still sleeping. She thought her family won't accept him because he's a Landry.
After a month,she and Spencer talked about Reed. That's when she realized she made a mistake of leaving him.
He went to the Kane's cabin before christmas and talked to her brothers about his feelings for Dani. Reed and Dani had a talk too and reconciled.
They got married again and stayed at his apartment in Boston. Then something happened
There's a nice epilogue too.

I found this one much more enjoyable than the first one. I really liked that Reed broke up with his girlfriend immediately after seeing Danielle for the first time, and that only two months after that, did he make his move.
Reed was caring, protective and so obsessed by Dani. He wanted nothing more than to make her happy ( with him by her side, of course).
Dani is just as crazy for him as he is for her, but a bit resistant because of their families history, and scared that her family won't accept, but all is quickly resolved.
Man, in this moments I really thought I was reading a Alexa Riley's book... The sex scenes were pretty hot, and Reed sure had a filthy mouth!
Loved the epilogue, especially their little guy, he was just so damn adorable!
In conclusion it was a short, sweet and hot book, and I look forward to read Matt's story.

So...another attempt for me to read this author's books. This was better than some I've read but, and I think it's just me, I just don't connect with the characters. Something about the style of writing that I just can't seem to get past. Things just don't seem "complete" to me. Reed wasn't as alpha as I expected him to be. I can't believe he . However, there were definitely some hot parts that I enjoyed. Everything just moves at warp speed!

I was really looking forward to reading this one and while the plot was great, it's the writing style that made me DNF at 70%. It's too messy and the emotions are just jumping from one to another. Like, one moment the h is reallly angry at H and calls him names and in the next she's all over him and acts like nothing ever happened. I just couldn't follow the story and therefore enjoy it. So DNF. :(

This is the second book in the Kane Family series. The first book featured Spencer Kane and Rose Landry, this book is about Spencer's sister, Danielle Kane and Rose's brother, Reed Landry. Dani Kane works for her Father and is trying hard to prove herself to him and her two brothers. Reed Landry is best friends with Spencer Kane and he's shocked when he finds out the woman he's lusting after is Spencer's little sister. He saw her while he was having lunch with an associate and was instantly mesmerized by her. He's surprised to see her in Vegas when he is there on business and they're staying in the same hotel. Dani has also noticed Reed and is equally attracted to him so she says yes when he asks her to join him for dinner. After dinner she has to leave because she's meeting a client for drinks at a club. He doesn't like the idea of her going alone so he discreetly follows her. After her meeting she seems very excited to see he followed her and after a heavy make-out session in the back of a cab they decide to go to an all night wedding chapel. Reed is thrilled that they got married wanting to tie her to him quickly and start their life together. When he wakes up the next day Dani is gone and he is hurt and angry.

I literally giggled myself silly reading this little story. I will have to say that this author has such a way with words. Snatch, Cooch, Dicking, I want to Breed her. The storyline was absolutely unrealistic. But even saying that it was fun to read and I'm glad I did.
This is on the Amazon Unlimited list for free reading, so you may giggle a lot but it was fun reading.

A little better than the first book. If you're looking for insta-love this book has definitely got it. The love Reed had for Danielle was a little .....OUT for me? I couldn't really grasp what exactly he loved so much about her.

I enjoy reading about her alphas and the insta love the characters normally experience. Unfortunately too much of the same story as the first book in this series to really get into this new story. Why didn't he go get her the morning after their wedding? Her normal alphas would have chase her down and not allowed things to fester.
