New release date! January 21st., 2016

Two years of unimaginable abuse have left Chandar emotionally damaged. In a final act of treachery, her captor wiped her memory clean in an effort to conceal his evil. Now she’s free and working to rebuild her life, but what use is a harbinger who can no longer see the future?

Raylon, the rebellion’s fiercest warrior, has known nothing but hardship and pain. Rescuing Chandar awakened feelings he thought long dead within his soul, yet she sees him as her champion, a protector to drive back her fear. He, on the other hand, is tormented by inappropriate thoughts and desires that would horrify her. He has never wanted a female as much as he wants Chandar, but he knows it’s impossible. She’s much too fragile, too vulnerable, to see him as anything but her defender.

Note to Readers: This book contains detailed descriptions of sizzling passion only suitable for mature readers.

From Cyndi: Battle Born is a spinoff of my Shadow Assassins series. However, it’s not necessary to have read the earlier books to enjoy these new stories. All of my books are cross-genre romances. They blend elements of science-fiction, fantasy, and paranormal romance. The Battle Born books lean a bit more toward sci-fi, but there is still plenty of steamy romance. Enjoy!

Passionate Sci-Fi with a touch of danger and a whole lot of sass.

Cyndi has written about rock stars, vampires, and cat shifters, but she's currently focused on outer space. Her stories are fun, fast-paced, and seriously hot. She has made the USA Today Top 100, and every book in the Outcasts series landed on Amazon's Top 100. She is currently working on Shadowborn Rebellion, a spin-off series set in the Outcasts universe.

I loved Chandar and Rylon's story! Chandar is traumatized byt everythign she suffered at Akim's hands and Rylon is as fierce as they come, but they're so good together! Loved them both!

I read this book years ago and didn’t give it a review, partly because my tastes were different at the time and partly because I was busy. I’m not now.
I‘ve mentioned in previous reviews that there is an underlying hint of something not quite even in the relationship between the Battle born and their chosen mates, and it all hangs on that word „chosen“, the males get to make their choice but the women kind of just get dragged into it by a mating pull,
Don’t get me wrong each of them have struggled like fish on hooks but they’ve been very sweetly and very erotically pulled into the mating.
Except for Chandra, I‘ll be honest I really couldn’t have imagined gruff Raylon being anything good for Someone as damaged and brutalized as she was, but oh sweet heavens did CF prove me wrong, in this one everything was her choice, her move, her needs, her desires. I loved how he is with her, so devoted and gentle and giving. This book is my favorite in the whole series so far.

When I started reading this book, I thought it would go in a very different direction. I figured when Chandra first met Raylon in an earlier book, she had a vision and knew Raylon was her mate, but it didn't progress that way which was a slight shock. It was still an enjoyable read and is still satisfying my need for sci-fi romances.

Finally closure for sweet Chandar

An emotion packed book. You hurt for her while cheering for her recovery. You hope Raylon can find happiness and love him for his patience and his control. Garin needs a rest. Vox is interesting. Love this series. Haven for crown stirate.

Finally!!!! This is the best book yet. Thank you for dealing with abuse in a way that was not difficult to process. Thank you for getting rid of Akim and thank you for keeping the story interesting. Now for Pure and Millani.

Shockingly awesome!

I adore Chandar. She is so broken yet powerful. Her spirit in the face of torture is amazing. Her abilities pale next to her spirit. Great read with a perfect ending.

Another great story....

I love that Chandar finally gets to confront and deal with her past abuse. Raylon is strong and protective as they work thru the return of her memories and their mutual attraction. New characters are introduced and previous ones are brought seamlessly into the story of the Battle Born rebellion. The story is a HEA, but there is still so much going on that I am anxious to read the next one. Danvier and Haven and see how some of the new players evolve in the story line. If you're looking for a series to read, this one has all the chaos, love, good vs evil, with hunky males that you could want. Also love the fact that Me Friberg has taken the time to edit so there isn't the irritation of bad grammar, etc. to distract from the story.

This was another great book in a great series. It only makes sense if you have been reading the books. If not, the romance will seem rushed.
The book provides a good amount of action a great story. You get to catch up with the leads from other stories in a way that makes perfect sense. I can't wait for the next!

Good read. Ends with an incomplete ending.

Kept me interested throughout the book. I liked that the female lead gets emotionally stronger after a severe trauma through the book. Then majority of the book is self contained but the end leaves you with an incomplete ending. Anyone that likes hunky, domineering but loving aliens should really enjoy this book.

Finally i finished you! It took me a long while, but it was really nice. I like Raylon and the combination of both him and Chandar was really good. I look forward to reading the next book in the series!
