When John comes home for Thanksgiving after being away to college for 2 years, he unexpectedly finds himself face to face with his old high school crush, Luke Rivers. Shocked that Luke even knew he existed, John is thrilled to learn that Luke—previously assumed to be ‘straight’—had nurtured his own secret fantasies about John when they were in school. John exhibits no resistance to Luke’s charms, yet remains “incognito” when his dad is present – as he has yet to openly admit to his father that he is gay. While assuming that Luke has the perfect relationship with his own father and is accepted for who he is, John soon discovers that not all is at it appears.

NOTE: Though this is 'Part 1' to John & Luke's story, it is nonetheless a stand-alone short story as well (no cliffhanger).

2.5 Stars.

It’s the typical....”I can’t believe you ever noticed me in high school ‘cause you were such a superstar.....you’re so out of my league....he can’t possibly like someone like me....” It was repetitive. Obviously the boy, John, has been getting laid for three years at college so why the sorry self esteem when his high school fantasy, Luke, jumps him in his bedroom? These types of storylines tire me.

And the other guy, the “superstar” who came home every year at Thanksgiving hoping to see John only to be disappointed when he wasn’t there? Am I really supposed to believe that he’s been saving himself for John all these years? These are horny boys we’re talking about.

Well, aside from that and using spit for lube (ouch) it was kinda cute.

This was a very short read but a sweet and sexy one. This is the first of two short stories about John and Luke.

John returns home from college to spend Thanksgiving with his folks. In a quiet moment after unpacking his things, John takes in his childhood bedroom and lets the nostalgia set in as memories flood his mind. One particular memory stands out above the others. He goes to the window and stares at the house across the street where Luke, his old classmate and object of his teenage sexual fantasies, could often be seen in various states of undress in front of his open window. An unobstructed view like that was impossible to ignore, especially for a hormone driven teenage boy. As John stood there and reminisced about all the time he spent watching that window, Luke's face suddenly popped up right in front of him. With John's heart already pounding heavily in his chest, Luke manged to shock him even further by opening the window and crawling through it into his childhood bedroom. Though John had hundreds of fantasies that brought Luke to his bedroom, this wasn't one of them.

Recommended for those who would enjoy a short, sweet and spicy M/M Romance with a holiday theme.

What a sweet short story, based on the family time of Thanksgiving. I enjoyed this story immensely
my only issue being that the lack of communication could of saved so much time and heartache. But I really think you'll in love with John and Luke as they fall in love with each another. You also learn things may not always be what they seem on the outside looking in. So what A.M. is saying don't judge a book by its cover.

I highly recommend this book, and I can't wait to see their love grow in Under the Mistletoe part 2.

John had always had an crush on luke next door neighbor. But they never has a chance to get together. John went away to college and now he comes back after 2 years later. And luke is there and confess his love for john. So the books takes it from there.

OK, we Brits obviously do not do Thanksgiving, but this hot little number from Audrey..and how could it NOT be, ticked a fair few of my boxes it has to be said. 4.5 stars from me.

Honestly, you boys and your communications problems...John and Luke had wasted years (as have the two in the story I've also nearly finished). I get that you don't want to get punched in the face, but surely sometimes it's worth the risk?? Oh, and John's dad?? Awesome..how every dad should be, there to love his kids whether they're gay, straight or in between. Pity the same can't be said for Luke's parents...the less said about them, the better.

Can't wait for the Christmas edition.

It's the typical boy next crushing on the super jock. But how often does the super jock crawl your window and tell you he's been crushing hard on you for the past years. Is this a joke? A dream? This can't be happening, right? You'll in love with John and Luke as they fall in love with one another. You also learn things may not be as they seem. So what A.M. is saying don't judge a book by its cover. I can't wait to see their love grow in Under the Mistletoe, part 2

I love Luke and John! John's parents are awesome. We need more parents to love their kids unconditionally. Can't wait for the next one!
