Best one yet

This story of these three teenagers is completely spellbinding. As I continue through each book in this series I can't seem to put them down. These are building up into what is expected to be a very climatic ending. I'm so excited I can't stand it.

Book 1-4
The Forest of Bleeding Trees is a set of 5 books, with book 5 still in progress. I don't normally write a review for a series, usually for each book as I finish them. But this group needs to be written as one. I feel that if I did each book individually, I would give away to much.
The Author has done it again! This set of books are right out of todays world and the fantasy world. The two intertwine together wonderfully. I found myself so absorbed in the story, that when I reached the end of the book, I was dissapointed that it ended. I love the characters and how they come from poor and the rich and neither cares. Yet there seems to be a lot of the poor folk dissappering and the really rich seem to be growing bigger. There are secrets all around and as you read on you find out more and more. Some go as far back as hundreds of years.
West Virginia is the perfect place for this story. The way the town and its people was discribed is spot on. I could picture the town and the people and how they are. But what are the generations after generations of some of the town people keeping secret? The people that took over the mansion, had and still has me guessing who or what they really are. Every time I think I know them, something changes it. I hope book 5 explains it all. They are desendents of the last owner and are very strange indead. They have certain powers, but not really. They have hudrededs of Ravens for pets and protection, strange. The redneck neighbor boy down the holler from the mansion took on a job at the mansion. Good hard worker, but he can fly, or can he? He finds out that there is a human eating creature locked away in one of the rooms in the masion, or is he being lied to just on spite? And how does a 18 year old manage to be in love with two completly opposite girls and have hot sex with both and still live? Yet all the secrets, all the killings, all the dsisaperances, all the so called creatures, all the towns people, all the undead, are working their way up to something big. And I just can't put my fingure on what it is and why.
The writing was superb and steady paced. Even though it jumps around some, I found it very easy to follow. It kept my attention all the way through, nonstop till the end of book4. It is full of suspense, romance, friendship, becoming a man and head of the house, family, Vampires, Wovles or Werewovles?, Ravens and a strange forest garden with trees and red water, boy with black wings? and undead dead. There is enough to keep you wondering who is who or what? This is great for High School and up. I can't wait for book 5 to come out so I can see if I'm right and how many more secrets are in this West Virginia town.

So much unraveled but certainly not the end!!!!!

*I received this book in exchange of an honest review*
Wow!!! So many changes, so many twists, so many revelations..... "The Dark Angel" will blow your mind!!!! We somehow know now what Johnny is, but so many other characters too!!!!! Characters that seemed at the beginning, secondary or bystanders, without real weight in the story!!! Still well written, still amazingly creative and captivating, "The Forest Of Bleeding Trees" is i guess the first part of the "Full Moon Series"!?! Because this fourth and last book is far from the end!!! It's more like an addictive appetizer, an intense cliffhanger..... Forget everything that you thought was happening, "The Dark Angel" shakes everything up and rises your curiosity to an alarming level!!! Completely smitten by P.A. Mattern's work, i honestly have to confess that this series is in my top 5 of fantastic/paranormal must reads! TWO BIG THUMBS UP HIGH IN THE AIR WITH BLAZING FLAMES!!!!!!

This is part 4 of this serial series. You do need to read the other 3 novellas before reading this one, otherwise you will be completely lost.

There is a lot going on with this serial, this book is leading up to something huge though. There will be a fight, I'm just not sure who is on whose side yet.

We get a little more about Johnny's changes, but still not 100% sure of what he is. I have an idea now.

Katrina was back in this book, and there's some drama there too.

It's hard to write a review for these books. I don't want to give anything at all away.

Loving this series! Please write more!

In this book we have 2 family's whose fates are intertwined. The paranormal is expected and doesn't disappoint in the least. And saying that I must also say there is some seriously sexy deliveries. I was impressed with the plot, the twists, wow. The characters are very engaging. I was seriously bummed out when the book was done. Not because it was bad. Because I want more! Highly recommend this read. And the author!

Johnny is going through some amazing changes. He meets Lili's crazy father and Mistress, becomes somewhat of an ally with Rory and definitely gets his cake and eats it too on his birthday!
Lili is faced with a tough choice, her Uncles are faced with a tougher choice, and Kat's destiny is explained.
Another amazing installment! My only question....when do I get the next one????

I thought this was a great read. it was entertaining, and well written. I liked how it keeps you guessing, and is not your run of the mill vampire and werewolf story. The characters are wonderful and mesh well together. My favorite character is Kat. She is a strong women. also she is finding out who she is and was. I enjoyed thus book immensely and can't wait till the next one. 5 Stars

Many lives lived

OMG!, this series is AMAZING! Twists, turns, past, present, future. Everything rolled into one story and makes you WANT MORE!

Darkness never had it so good and yet, methinks that what we think is dark may be light. Totally loving this series and can't seem to get enough to fill me.

This is a paranormal short story. This is the fourth book in the bleeding trees series, I advise other readers to read the previous books in this series to get the full understanding. This book pick ups where The Crimson Gate leaves off, it is an exciting and entrancing series. Johnny has his hands full literally, he has some major decisions and even though he has good intentions it never seems to work out the way he plans, but he never gives up. Lili now understands the true meaning of family and has to learn to lean on others. They are both such strong characters I can't wait to read more.

Johnny has come to terms with the unusual happenings around his town. Now on his eighteenth birthday he has a personal change that is more than amazing. But for now he has a choice to make, between two girls who both want his attention. He wants to be know as a good man. Finally his family is in a good place, his ma even can take time off work to spend time with them, which is a gift in itself. Johnny is very protective of his family, and he has to learn to allow them to make some choices on their own. In due time he may have to protect Lili in the same way.

Favorite passages:
"The falling mist gave the forest a dreamy quality, and nature seemed to have gone asleep in preparation for winter."
"The river and the mountains are in my blood. I can't imagine being happier anywhere else."
"She felt as if she were being drawn into them, becoming part of a dark green lake in which there was only comfort and stillness."
"And if Katrina chose to forgive him, he would be the happiest moonshine mother****** in the "holler"."
"He knew his dad would applaud him for taking care of his family. But probably not for being the most out of control 'poon hound' in three counties."
"He realized what was happening to his body with a clarity so sharp that he felt like a lost soul, floating above it. "

This is a great paranormal story and keeps you guessing.

Johnny is changing in so many ways. Kat is a strong woman who is finding the real person she is.
Many of the characters finally mesh together and lead you into a deeper meaning of the story.

Vampires and other paranormal creatures are conjured into the story and hope this is not the last one. I look forward to reading what the outcome of Johnny's changes will be.

Amazing

Please tell me there is more!?! I'm on the edge of my seat waiting to find out who wins the battle, Vance or Rory. Tess and Rory seem to be destined for each other and it would be devastating to lose someone she just found. Johnny seems to be torn between two people, which one will he chose? I am excited to find out what happens to everyone.
