Isn’t that just a gorgeous cover? I’d love to be walking in the snow in that scene, so romantic. Sometimes at this time of year it can be difficult to fit in time for reading a full length novel. If this is you, then this book which has six short stories in could be perfect.

Winter in Venice, where three couples discover the magic and romance of this grand old city, was definitely my favourite story in the book, especially Lucy and Dominic’s story with the lovelocks – heart-meltingly romantic!

This is a charming and warm collection of stories, just right to read when time is short but you want a little festive romance. Let Melissa Hill take you on a trip to New York (and Venice) for a little Christmas magic.

Like others said, I expected one story. Suddenly ended at about 56% of book 😩. Followed by lots of very short stories, of which I only read a couple. It was great to catch up with Rachael & Gary’s plans for Rachael’s dream New York wedding and also Terri & Ethan meeting up again.

I was unaware there was a prequel to this book - this book constantly referred to a previous situation which all the way though I kept hoping would be explained but it was not. The constant references and innuendos to this "unknown situation" with no explanation left me really frustrated and I almost put it down. If you've not read the prequel (which I have not) all you will learn from this book is that Ethan and Gary crashing into each other outside Tiffany's in NYC 2 years prior to this story and bags ended up being accidentally swapped - one with a bracelet and the other an engagement ring (which is explained in the first two pages!) - there is no explanation as to for who Ethan was buying an engagement 2 years prior; how Ethan and Terri met or what really happened between them; what happened between Ethan and Gary that has resulted in their relationship the way it is. So many unanswered questions...

It is quite well written, no complaints there. Didn't find anything that made me resonate to any of the characters or even like any of them (apart from Ethan and Daisy but they were not the main characters) - it was all a bit short (and now I understand that the character's personalities were set up in the previous book). It ended super abruptly after seemingly so much detail (not always a good thing) in all the rest of the book, left much unanswered, I assume to cash in on another book.

It's a very chill and easy read. If you don't like soppy, romantic, marriage stuff - avoid. I am not keen on any stories about weddings but was lured into thinking this was a warming festive read - as the beautiful cover suggests. If anyone is thinking the same - it is not set at Christmas (it's set in the summer in NYC) there is nothing Christmassy about it (the main story - the short stories are).

Again like other readers I also missed the fact that it had short stories half way through, the main story ended really abruptly both in terms of story line and at about 65% of the way through the book. I only read one of the short stories, it was nice but not for me.

I enjoyed catching up with the characters from the previous book. I don’t particularly like short stories though and find them frustrating and unfulfilling. I would have preferred a whole book of Rachel, Gary, Ethan, daisy and Terri.

Two novellas with four much shorter stories in the middle (and no contents page, which is why that seems worth including in a review). Romantic ensemble stories about straight couples, some with children, forming or renewing relationships. A lovely light read.

i want to start off by saying i dnfed this book. it’s a third person book which i didn’t take into consideration when picking it out and i can’t stand third person. the plot also seems jus confusing and the fact that there’s a main book and a million different other stories is just so off putting.

I'm usually a huge fan of Melissa Hill's work, yet here, something was missing. The first story was very nice, as I have read "Something from Tiffany's" it was really nice to have a sequel. But I didn't feel the magic other books, as "The charm bracelet" had on me. It was the same with the short stories and then the final story in Venice : it was all very nice, but I didn't clicked as I usually do, I didn't cry at the end.
This book is still as well written as the other works of Melissa Hill, but I was a little disappointed, because all the Christmas things, New York, Venice, the common theme was magic, yet I didn't feel any of it. Perhaps it's just me not getting on with the "short novel" format.
