Accidentally Heroic
Heroic is a tale of superheroes, lost love, and food poisoning. The year is 2011. Cousins Luke and Larry are two average guys, well, aside from having super powers. The mystery begins when the duo stumbles on a villain left for dead. Enemies become friends, and the heroes are caught in the crossfire of an old war. Trekking across the country, they unearth a tragic love story, a conspiracy to reveal their kind to the world, and their own incredible family saga. Their journey will include a socially-inept healer, a surly immortal, and (of course) frequent mortal danger.Leave your cape at home. Accidentally Heroic blends action, humor, and drama in one mesmerizing saga.

About the author
Amanda Kozik
2 books1 followerLong ago, the Muses had successfully inspired another round of authors. They toasted to their latest accomplishments--Homer, Sophocles, and even that lovable rascal, Aristophanes.
But lo, one Muse had lingered too long at "the club" with Dionysus. Mass quantities of wine were consumed, and the bender lasted over two Millennia. Afterwards, as she sat with the little known Greek Deity, Coffeeteas, she nursed a wicked hangover and looked down at the authors she had inspired during the night that sank into the river Lethe.
There were pathetic poets, nonsensical novelists, authors who penned Sponge Bob erotic fan-fiction, and, in addition to these literary losers, she created an obscure writer known as Amanda Kozik. Amanda's writings were poorly distributed and awkwardly combined absurdities with outlandish epic drama. The writing was an insult to the gods. And, our poor, hung-over Muse knew that she would never be able to face her sisters again.

September 23, 2016Started off interestingly, but I found the prose getting stiffer, and the character voices weren't distinct enough to me for the chapter switching to work. Doesn't seem like my thing.
