This is the true story of my six month weight loss plan. It's not magic. This is a down-to-earth narrative about how I used basic science to lose weight. I'm not an athlete -- just a former cello nerd who hit 40 years old and 267 pounds at the same time. I decided enough was enough. No more excuses. And if I can do it, anyone can.
his guy seems to be pretty easy going, he has a sense of humor and his advice is straight forward and easy to read. He explains the science behind his plan and success at losing weigh. He does it with humor and he does it simplistically. It really is a good book for someone that wants to get a handle on how to start this process. It is also a good reminder to those of us that have been doing it for a while.....it reminds us of the actual scientific process that we have embarking on. (Calories in versus Calories out). He doesn't push high priced anything........in fact he recommends naked dancing. (yup, gonna have to read to figure that one out!) He did talk about what he eventually DID purchase (but really...buying the premium membership at My Fitness Pal to stop the infernal ads doesn't count does it???) and he talks about his success.
Kudos to Dylan for not only taking the steps to figure out the process of losing weight but to also try to impart this knowledge in an obese and overweight world.
I liked the book at the beginning but soon realised the author must have shares in MyFitnessPal as that’s all he raved about oh and dancing naked! I can’t do that unfortunately as my dogs will be traumatised as I knocked myself out. I also prefer Nutrachecker! Read it and make your own mind up! I will say losing weight is an achievement but keeping the weight off is an even bigger achievement! I’d love to see another book by the author in 5 years time with an update of his progress.
It's a fun read, but don't know if the advice works.
Honestly as I have only just read it so I haven't tried any of the tips yet, I might update my review in 6 months depending on if the tips have worked or not. One negative I have is that this was obviously not proofread beforehand as there was quite a lot of spelling and grammatical errors. Also Poirot is spelt wrong which annoyed me.
......... I'm not sure about this book. Along with all the typos (which annoy the heck out of me - but that's a me issue) the book felt a bit preachy and annoying. I can't even tell if I liked it or not at this point!
Ég veit ekki af hverju ég las þessa bók. Var að vafra á Kindle unlimited og hún var skemmtilega skrifuð. Svo kláraði ég hana óvart svo ég varð að logga hana
Comedy on every page - I found myself cracking up out loud again and again. Dylan Murray's down to earth and personal style is warm and encouraging, like the friend we all need kicking us off the couch to start exercising and eating right. I would call this essential January reading. No - essential reading any time we are starting a new fitness plan and need a pat on the back to get us going.
