The Lost Hero When they're attacked by strange monsters during a field trip to the Grand Canyon, Jason, Piper, and Leo are rescued by some of Percy Jackson's pals and taken to Camp Half-Blood. There, the teens discover the truth-they're demigods! But unlike the other campers, who have Greek gods and goddesses for parents, Jason, Piper, and Leo have Roman gods and goddesses for parents! Now the three are learning about their unique demigod abilities-and facing a deadly prophecy. It turns out that the goddess Hera has been kidnapped and it's up to these new demigods to save her! The Son of Neptune Percy Jackson has lost his memory. He knows that he's a demigod, but about the only thing he remembers from his past is a name: Annabeth. On the run from Medusa's two snake-haired sisters, Percy Jackson discovers Camp Jupiter-the West Coast camp for Roman demigods. But why is everyone looking at Percy strangely and calling him the Son of Neptune? Percy befriends two misfit campers, Frank and Hazel, and the trio soon discovers that the evil Titan Gaea has imprisoned Thanatos-aka Death-and is assembling an army of monsters to defeat the gods. Now it's up to these three teen demigods to free Death-and uncover the meaning of a mysterious prophecy about the Greek and Roman demigods.
[Re-read] Amazing series that is action-packed, fell in love with the series when I started it (hence the re-read). 5/5 Chev's picks --- Like my post to be mentioned ;) I am usually found here: https://beacons.ai/chevreads Find me on: Instagram: @calliesyy Wattpad: @writerthursday P.S. Add me as a friend :) I like to read romance novels and mystery stories
Percy, an ADHD, dyslexic, half-human half-Greek god kid that once saved the world from the titan king Chronus, has gone missing. On the other side in Rome, one of their leader Jason went missing. They have been found in each other's camp but they forgot their memories. I loved the scene when all the members in the Greek camp and Roman camp are formed. Annabeth Chase, Piper Mclean, Leo Valdez, Jason Grace, Percy Jackson, Hazel Levesque, Frank Zhang. These kids are trying to save the world from the evil side of mother earth (Gaia). I love the main character Frank because his life is very interesting. His life depends on a half-burnt wood which makes him a fragile person but, he is brave and always manages to save his friends. My favorite sub-character is Ella the Harpy. She has been captured by Phineas, an old and evil man that serves Gaia. Ella knows much knowledge and she was the one that helped Percy meet his old friends again. 3 I think that you guys should read this book because it is a fun book about a son or daughter of a greek and roman god. These two books are some of the best books that Rick Riordan wrote including the "Trials of Apollo " series.
Rick Riordan you’ve done it again I am hooked on another one of your amazing book series, I am currently on the third book but this review is for the first book “The Son of Neptune”. Being honest I think this was my least favorite book so far in the series, however that may be because of the similarities between the beginning of this book and the first book “The Lost Hero”. That does not mean that it is a bad book because it is not, it is still a very good book. To start the main protagonist is someone we all know and love the iconic Percy Jackson, but something is wrong he can’t remember anything at all. Percy has also been running for his life from gorgons. That can’t seem to kill him? As if his skin is made of hardened steel. While running he stumbled along a strange camp that took him in. In the camp Percy rediscovers that he is a son of Neptune. During a War-game a god visited Percy and His new friends Hazel and Frank. Hazel being a daughter of Pluto or and Frank being a son of Mars. The god Mars tells Percy that he must take his new friends on a great quest to defeat the titan Alcyoneus. However there are some other surprises on the way.
I felt the story was a little slow in the beginning but picked up the middle and ending was action packed. My favorite part of the story has to be when Frank discovers The power that he has within himself. I was not impressed by the part of the story where they went back to Frank's old house. I love the relationship between Frank and Hazel where they both like each other but are both very awkward with each other. People can relate with Percy in the beginning of the book like Percy some people may not know themselves or may feel lost or “running for their life”.
So overall yeah I did like this book I’d give it a four out of five. I loved the Characters and how they interacted with each other. The beginning of the book has to be my least favorite part of the whole book. The best parts of the book have to be the action parts. I think people that don’t mind slow starts this book is perfect for them. On the other side of things people that like non stop action may not like this book.
Well. I loves it.both of it..uncle Rick nailed it again. It was so amazing and I really enjoyed it and I'm looking forward to read the next three and trails of Apollo
The book “The Heroes of Olympus the Son of Neptune” by Rick Riordon is a combination of mythology and adventure that explores a world of gods/goddesses, monsters, and life threatening quests. The main protagonists, Hazel, Frank, and Percy Jackson heads on a quest to defeat the earth goddess Gaea. “The Son of Neptune” is a book in the “Heroes of Olympus” series which takes place after the “Percy Jackson and the Olympians” series. It is written in a unique way, with every chapter being told in another character’s perspective. As readers alternate between the thoughts and feeling of Hazel and her friends, readers are taken on a journey of adventure, danger, and excitement.
The Book engaged me in world of full of mythology, legends, folklore, and adventure. It taught me interesting historical information about both the Romans and the Greeks as well as fantasizing the possibility of being a child of a god/goddess. The numerous battle scenes is enough to keep your adrenaline running and keep you at the edge of your seat. As the story progresses, we not only experience the emotions and thoughts of each individual character, but also uncover their deepest insecurities and secrets. The descriptive language, compelling storyline as well as charismatic characters will draw you into a world full of mythical beasts, omniscient beings, and magic.
In conclusion, Percy Jackson “The Son of Neptune” is an excellent book for anyone interested in a combination of Fantasy and Greek or Roman mythology. An amazing novel for exploring the world of magic and chaos is a must read. Despite the book being a fantasy novel, readers are still able to learn valuable lessons such as the importance of friends, cruciality of teamwork, and the significance of hope and trust. The unique writing style and fascinating plot spreads a unique aura that makes readers want to read on. Unlike other fantasy novels such as "DragonWatch" and the iconic "Harry Potter", Percy Jackson “Son of Neptune” includes not only fantasy elements, but also informs readers of the historical context of Roman and Greek religion and mythology. Since this book is part of a series, I highly suggest that people who are new, start at the very beginning in order to fully understand what is happening. This book is targeted for children and young teens, But I believe that this book is suited for anyone. Overall this Fantasy Novel is very enjoyable and I would rate it a four out of five for it’s unique writing style as well as the interesting combination of fantasy, history, and mythology.
Love it. I just finished this book again. There are many series in the Percy Jackson series in this order. Percy Jackson and the Olympians, Kane Chronicles, Heroes of Olympus, Magnus Chase and the Gods of Asgard, Trials of Apollo. The Trials of Apollo and Magnus Chase and the Gods of Asgard happen at the same time so you need to read them at the same time. But The Trials of Apollo is longer it and is still going on.

Still a classic(: I got an inflated view of myself as a kid bc the second installation of the pj series was thicker but these seriously still read like a kids dream adventure showdown. Chefs kiss
