Eric Kripke (creator of Supernatural) teams up with Vertigo veterans John Higgins (HELLBLAZER) and Glenn Fabry (PREACHER) to bring you a very Vertigo take on the modern superhero in this six-issue miniseries. Josh Jaffe, a neurotic family man mid-midlife crisis, buys an online "smart pill" to increase his focus and jolt him out of his slump. But to Josh's surprise, the pill gives him incredible strength and power-but its cost is that it's extremely addictive. This irreverent and brutally realistic story examines both the mighty highs and humiliating lows of being a real-life superhero.

What do you get when you take 1 part "Breaking Bad" and 1 part "Falling Down" mix and add a touch of Mad Magazine humor? You get Jacked that's what.
This is some great stuff and I can only imagine what all is going to go into this series. I am hoping that "Jacked" lasts more than just 6 episodes because this is some great reading!

Midlife crisis, drugged fueled shenanigans, ghost of childhood past (and hot Spanish teacher) remind character of past interests and values, learns you don't need drugs to be a hero, and having a disappointing and mediocre life is all a matter of perspective since the true meaning of life is who you love and who loves you. This was the most basic of morality stories (with NO subtext) with the point literally in the text for you on the last page. It was entertaining but wow, this was basic.
