This was the "book from your childhood" on the Popsugar 2015 Reading Challenge. I felt it was appropriate because there was long period of my childhood during which my preferred reading material was biographies. Florence Nightingale was always one of my favorites and as an adult I find her even more fascinating, she is admirable, but human. This book tells her story in an engaging style which sometimes verges on fiction, but seems to be supported by facts drawn from reliable sources.
