I was born in El Paso and lived there most of my life. L.C. Hayden’s book is fascinating, and her research is spot on. I highly recommend this exciting book.

I enjoyed the book. I must admit that I would have liked to punch some of the characters due to the nature of their personalities. I liked how Maria/Connie's character evolved. The ending left me hanging and I hope there is a sequel to the book. Good book to read.
