17-year-old high school senior Candace has everything figured out. She attends St. Pauls an exclusive prep school in Concord, New Hampshire, and is on her way to Princeton the next fall. However, when she falls for exchange student Danilo, her orderly life is changed forever. At the end of her senior year, Candace finds out she is pregnant and is forced to postpone college for a year. She decides to keep her baby without telling Danilo and moves back home and takes a job as a waitress. As her younger sister prepares to leave for college, Candace reflects on the twisting labyrinth of choices she had made.

Easy read about a high schook girl whose naive choices lead to life altering consequences. Dealing with the fallout, she learns to realize the strength in herself. Recommend reading for all young women.

This was painfully awful 💀 and extremely fatphobic. Definitely one of if not the worst book I read all year ( 2024 )

Picked it up and couldn't put it down! A great fast-paced story that takes the reader through a teen's first experience with a boyfriend all the way through an unexpected pregnancy and all the emotions involved. Highly recommend.
