My love for writing started young. Luckily I had a family who encouraged believing in magic and embracing imagination. From stories quickly scribbled in bright pink diaries, my love of storytelling developed. Since then my characters may have evolved and my plots may have grown decidedly more steamy but I never lost my love of the written word. Writing is not only a way to silence the wonderful voices in my head, but it also allows me to share my passions with my readers. Hope you enjoy my titles!

Personal Overview

This book has a bit of a slower burn than the rest of the series, it starts out with Kieran going to Fated Match agency looking for a temporary mate, and Chloe is the one begrudgingly in charge of him. They feel the connection between them immediately, so H refuses all other candidates and pushes so Chloe accepts to be is temporary mate. Of course he wants to sleep together, but none wants to face the consequences of that, so they both fight the pull, get to know each other better, reveal secrets and decide to give more to the other and enter a relationship. Cue in H’s ex and a bit of drama, but nothing big. The rest you can imagine...

Disappointingly poor execution to what could have been a very fun book.

The premise was a good one, but Davies definitely did not pull it off.

The pacing was poor, and the writing was mediocre at best.

The characters were flat and one-dimensional - she tries too hard to make Kieran a sexy, can-never-love-again, alpha-male, but he comes across as an overbearing, anti-relationship, womaniser who doesn't understand the meaning of the word 'no', and Chloe is the typical plucky, independent, fire-cracker female character who completely ensnares the attention of our alpha hero but instead seems to have a touch of split-personality disorder who can't decide if she wants to get all up on it or not.

The characterisations are ones we see in nearly every PNR but less than what we are used to. Everything about them just screams 'tries too hard'.

There was no chemistry between the two, and the end scenes were overwrought, embarrassing and awkward.

I did not enjoy this one.

**** 4 Fated Match Stars ****

This was such a fun story! I haven't read the prior books before this, but this can be easily read as a standalone.

description

I loved how there were supernatural creatures everywhere. There were witches, fairies, vampires, werewolves, griffins, and more.

When the Alpha werewolf of the most successful pack came into the office, he wasn't looking for a mate. Kieran wanted a fake girlfriend so that his pack could stop setting him up with female wolves and leave him alone. He just needed her until the mating moon was over. And then he could live his single life again.

Chloe was a witch working at Fated Match, where she helped the supernatural find mates. She loves her job because she enjoys helping people find happiness. When she was asked by Kieran for a temporary girlfriend, she was appalled. It went against everything she stood for. But because Kieran was willing to write a check with lots of zeros, Chloe's boss allowed to give him special treatment.

He was unsatisfied with all the women Chloe suggested. After spending more time with Chloe, he realized that she would be perfect. To make the story even more believable, he made her move into his home. Their close proximity made them even closer, and he started to enjoy her company. He loved how Chloe was strong in her own ways.

As Chloe was raised as an orphan, she searched many covens for her parents, but she couldn't find them. She also tried to join other covens but realized that she doesn't belong to any of them. Kieran was always part of a pack, and couldn't help feeling sorrow for Chloe's loneliness.

The story was cute and the characters were so easy to fall in love with. There weren't that many steamy moments. It was mostly kissing up until the end. I definitely look forward to reading the rest of the books in the series.

When I saw the next book in Victoria Davies' Fated Match series was coming out, I started snoopy dancing. I read the second book and fell in love with her characters and plot. A dating service for supernaturals, you just know it's going to be filled with romance and laughter. The title alone, The Alpha's Temporary Mate, suggested this was going to be a entertaining tale. So I sat back, relaxed and started to read….AND LOVED IT!

Sparks were fly from Chloe and Keiran from the get go...and not in a good way. Keiran wanting a temporary mate went against everything Chloe worked hard to do at Fated Mates. Every potential mate she presented was just not a right fit, until Keiran realized Chloe would be perfect for the job. So she steps up to the plate and the charade goes live. Now things get very entertaining!

Having read the previous Fated Match book, I pretty much knew what to expect; fun entertainment. What I didn't expect was to not be able to put this book down. Chloe is such a romantic sweetheart but under that is a spine of steel! She was not going to back down from Keiran and bow to the Alpha in him. Keiran is the oppose of her, never having to give a inch and use to getting it his way. Except the pressure from his pack to mate that is. His way to get out of mating was fairly comical, trick his pack into thinking it's a done deal and he found The One. You just know that's not going to play out the way he planned.

The romance between them was very entertaining. Their connection had a nice gradual build that was peppered with laugh out loud moments as their battle of wills played out. Don't think it's all snorts and giggles. These two pretend lovebirds have dark secrets of which Chloe's is the saddest. Poor abandoned girl, I just wanted to hug her. On top of the budding romance is a whole slew of secondary characters that added that extra oomph and I am eenie meenie miney moe-ing which one I would love to see get their story next (Please let it be Vivian!)

Folks, if you love your paranormal romances to keep you up all night because you can't put it down, then this book is what you are looking for. It's not necessary to read the books in the series from the beginning being that each book works very well as a stand-alone. However, considering how good they are, I recommend reading them all.

I really liked this book. I picked this book up for two reasons, 1. I liked the cover and 2. Witches and Were's are two of my favorite paranormal and both in the same book.. I was like eh. why not?!

So I picked the book up on NetGalley and soon into the story I realized that this book is a part of a series, worry not my friends, it is ok. This book can totally be read as a standalone there are only brief mentions of the previous two hooked up couples. It does look like this series is specializing in hooking up species that are usually totally wrong for each other and should never work out... Perfect.. I love those! So I think I'm going to go back and read at least one of the previous books.

Annyywayy... So this book. It starts out in the Chloe's office where she is a professional matchmaker. She is affronted because he's basically asking her to go against all of her matching making principals. Kieran want's a FAKE girlfriend. She prides herself on making lasting connections for true mates. So Kieran shows Chloe's boss a whole lot of zero's and it is decided a fake girlfriend it will be, but Kieran is not accepting any of Chloe's matches and time is running out... So Chloe becomes Kieran's fake mate.

Kieran has been burned badly in the past, Chloe has abandonment issues. He's an alpha wolf, she's a witch.. It should never have worked, but their chemistry won’t be denied! Watching them fight their attraction is fun; it's even more fun when they give in. There are some bumps in the road for these two and a few twists. Ms. Davies could have taken an easy way out with these two because they are mates and gone the insta-love route but the love comes more gradually. Just because fate knows you're meant to be doesn't mean that the two involved have to agree with it, but eventually fate has to have its way. I really enjoyed this book. I liked both Chloe and Kieran and the plot was entertaining. I'll definitely look out for the next book in the series.. I'm hoping Chloe's bitchy siren boss finds her match!

Witch and matchmaker, Chloe Donovan is wonderful at her job and she makes sure she puts the right paranormal with their right mate. But when alpha and millionaire playboy Kieran Clearwater barges into her office she thinks she may be outgunned. Kieran has no reason to get a mate but because his pack is demanding he get one, he decides to hire a matchmaker and get a fake girlfriend and into the picture comes Chloe. Chloe does not want to be a part of the debacle and wants not to be a part and he has to pretty much coerce her into this. The sparks between them is so hot ; Chloe fights and will not let Kieran keep her bowed down. She is a witch and she is not wanting to get into shifter politics and thinks this is a horrible trick to play on his pack. Kieran wants her nose out of his pack’s business and just wants her to do what he tells her. The two clash on just about everything except the passion that is rising between them. Kieran is all alpha –he doesn’t like his word being questioned –the passions between them continue to rise as Kieran state she can be his “pretend girlfriend”. We, as the reader, can see the vivid scenery painted by the author and can feel the emotions pouring through the story as tensions rise ; Passions and Humor are on the page as well as sadness from Chloe as she believes Kieran doesn’t and will never love her. There were times I cried for her when I felt her pain. I really could place myself in her shoes. Will Kieran do the right thing and fight for Chloe? Because as we read we can all tell Chloe IS his mate, not fake as he keeps telling her. You will have to read and find out. I also have to say, I love the supporting cast of characters and I hope Chloe’s siren boss gets her own book next. This was a phenomenal paranormal romance book.

My Rating: 4.5 stars ****

Chloe Donovan takes pride in helping clients find their happy endings but she may have met the one man she can’t help when alpha and millionaire playboy Kieran Clearwater stalks into her office in this explosive paranormal romance.

Kieran has no intention of finding his mate but to reassure his pack he decides to hire a fake girlfriend to parade around at the annual pack retreat and the reader can’t help but get caught up in all the flying sparks and heated clashes when Chloe is coerced into becoming the wolf’s temporary mate. The chemistry explodes from the pages as these two clash on just about every front except for the sizzling desire especially as Kieran is all alpha and Chloe is a witch not a mouse which keeps this temporary relationship on a razor’s edge throughout the story with some emotional turbulence thrown for extra spice. These strong compelling characters ensnare the reader’s attention from the very beginning and the fast paced, smooth flowing plot keeps readers on the edge with lots of suspense, turmoil and romance.

Anticipation builds lots of spine tingling tension throughout the story as the couple struggles to pretend to be in love even with all the opposition that some of the pack have against their relationship and then there is the added excitement when Chloe proves time and again that she can hold her own in some unexpected and fun ways. The scenes are well written and full of vivid imagery that makes it easy for the reader to become enmeshed in the story while the intriguing events ensure that there is never a dull moment.

Fated Match has done it again as I was completely bewitched by Chloe and Kieran’s combustible romance and let me warn you that spontaneous laughter may break out at any moment during this story and I can’t wait to find out who will fall next.

Its an oke book, i feel like its missing something but i can't think what it is so its just oke. The ow coming back in the last 2 chapters and it wasn't really handled well. It made the heroine seem like second best. The H feels his ex from a distance and forgets about everything else to ho to her. The ex kissed him and he pushes her off after the h sees them and runs off. Then the h tells him she will consider forgiving him if he tells her he loves her, he can't so they break up. The h decides to fight for him and goes to tell him that she loves him. He doesn't hear or feel her, the other werewolves so. This made me feel like what he felt for the h was a watered down version of what he felt for the ow.

The Alpha's Temporary Mate was such a funny and romantic book to read. Davies uses the same concept of what one would typically find in a contemporary book, but twists it by using supernatural beings. I found it to be refreshing and enjoyable to read.

Fated Match is dedicated to match supernatural beings together no matter what they are, and one of these people in charge of that is Chloe Donovan, a witch who takes pride of the work that she does to find the perfect match of her clients. So when one of her newest clients, Kieran Clearwater, walks to her office and demands her to find him a fake girlfriend, Chloe immediately refuses. But being the wealthy alpha that he is, Kieran is willing to compensate her and the company for the favor. With nothing to lose, Chloe accepts his offer, but that soon proves to be a difficult task when he refuses her options for what he wants. Instead he is immediately drawn to her and the way she is towards him that he asks her to be his fake girlfriend instead. As the mating moon approaches, Kieran introduces Chloe to his pack members and that is when things start to change in the story. Both Kieran and Chloe begin to get to know each other and their pasts that takes their chemistry to the next level.

It is evident that Kieran doesn't do relationships, but the way Chloe reacts towards him makes him notice her more. No one has ever stood up to him, and when she does everything starts to change for him. The man in him questions his new feelings for her, but his wolf is ready to claim her as his, and that is what soon begins to scare him. But the minute his past shows up, he has to make a choice of whether moving on is the right thing for him and Chloe or if his duty as the alpha is greater than his growing love for her.

As I mentioned before the idea is not new, but it does makes it refreshing to read in a somewhat different perspective. Chloe is definitely a strong character in the book, she has fought to be where she is that she is not one to give up easily. Her job and the people that she works with are her only family, yet she longs to belong to someone, to have her own mate. When she starts working for Kieran, he is the one that opens her eyes to the idea, but soon their attraction starts to turn into something more, which makes things difficult for her. Whereas for Kieran, his pasts has haunted him for a very long time, and when he meets Chloe he finally sees what he has been looking for all along. Although the characters have flaws, they do grow somewhat throughout the book. We don't get a drastic change, and I really don't think it needed it. Though I have to say that there were scenes that could have been executed a lot better. For one, the ending sweet and to the point, but I really think that the book needed something else to tie everything together (an epilogue...). Overall, the story worked for me and if you are looking for a supernatural story with a twist then I would highly recommend giving this book a try. :)

5 STARS!!
The Alpha's Temporary Mate is riveting. I was compelled to read from the first page, and literally couldn't put it down! I am in the firm belief that this book (and series for that matter) should come with a Warning Label: Read at your own risk: you will not be able to complete even the simplest task after starting this book, due to the sheer and utter greatness that comes from needing to know what happens and the adoration of even the smallest of characters.
A shifter romance with a happy ending, is the third installment of the Fated Match series by Victoria Davies and can be read as a stand alone.
Chloe is a witch who was left to her own devices from a very young age. Growing up without a family or a coven she has had to fight to survive at every moment and learn about all of her abilities on her own. Growing up in the era of WWII she is relatively young still for an immortal but has built her life with the desire to make matches, because every single one counts for something.
Kieran Clearwater, alpha of one of the biggest most powerful packs in the continent, is on the verge of an arranged mating if he can't put off the Seniors in his pack just passed this Mating Moon, his resolve is to hire someone from Fated Match to impersonate his lover until passed the moon where they can part with "irreconcilable differences" only no one seems to fit what he needs, except maybe a feisty witch who settles his wolf-- but the question remains can the ruse pass all suspicions??
I have to say, I read this book before reading the others, I am a huge fan of shifter romances and this series very quickly made it to the top of my must-read list! It is one of those, that even though the blurb says is an HEA, you find yourself shaking with hope that it is true-- the back of the book wouldn't lie to you, would it?? Victoria Davies has most definitely made a fan-girl out of me, I was swept away and left enraptured from the first page-- with characters well put to paper that you can't help but fall in-love with, and a story line that will enthrall you..... sigh, you just must must read it.

The Alpha's Temporary Mate is the third and latest novel in the Fated Match paranormal romance series from author Victoria Davies and is the story of a temporary union between a witch named Chloe Donovan and a werewolf named Kieran Clearwater. While Chloe agrees to the stipulations of the contract and she is drawn to Kieran, she knows everything will end soon. She wants a mate and Kieran's one experience with love and a committed relationship ended in heartache, something that has traumatized him to the point that he has no intention of ever putting his heart on the line for any female, even if he does care for Chloe.

I enjoyed the first two books in this series--Love at Stake and Dying to Date--and this third installment certainly doesn't disappoint. Chloe is the perfect partner for Kieran, even if they belong to two different immortal groups, because she isn't afraid to speak her mind and is capable of standing up to the alpha wolf if need be. Just when you think everything is finally falling into place for them, there's a twist that occurs, one that had me frustrated because of both Chloe's and Kieran's reactions to what happened. Another thing I liked was that these two didn't immediately fall into bed together even though they were tempted.

I'm hoping that the series will continue because there are certain supporting characters that I'm still itching to read about, namely, Christian Kae (from the first book), Jessica (whose last name isn't mentioned in this book), and Fated Match owner Vivian Sands (who makes me more and more curious with each new book). I can also imagine a few more interesting pairings that are far from the norm, which is part of what makes the Fated Match series both intriguing and entertaining. Consistency in terms of the quality of writing while being able to stand out is why I'm giving The Alpha's Temporary Mate 4.5 stars, rounded off to five stars. ♥

Kieran needs a woman to help keep his pack off his back. After enlisting the services of Fated Match he finds that not just any woman will do. He's not sure why but the only woman he can imagine helping him is the only one not willing to. That fact alone is enough to make his sit up and take interest. It really doesn't hurt either that his wolf is bound and determined to have her for himself. Which is beyond rare. Since his wolf and him never agree.

Chloe Donovan has made a lot of matches but never once has she imagined being set up to become a fake lover herself. She's usually the one doing the setting up not the other way around. But when her boss insists that she takes this job she can't really say no. Soon she finds herself living in the gorgeous pent house with a rather sexy and sensual big bad wolf who can't wait to take a bite out of her. Soon Chloe and Kieran are having a hard time figuring out what is real and what is for show. Are they really falling in love or is just all part of the act. Both are scared to give their hearts away even with the passion and chemistry igniting them every step of the way.

I loved the uncertainty and the passion between these two. Chloe has never really felt at home until she finds her home in Kieran. But even then, the demons of his past and both of their insecurities might be enough to tear them apart.

This being a new author to me I felt a little uncertain about reading this book. I have found that paranormal romances are either really good or terribly bad. I'm happy to report that this author is one of the best that I have had the privilege to read. I look forward to reading more of her work in the future.

This is the third book in the series. Although I have read the previous two books I feel this can be read as a stand alone. But I bet once you read it you will want to read the other two!

Chloe works at Fated Match, an agency that finds mates for supernaturals. She loves helping find mates for the people that come to the agency.
Kieran is a wolf that needs a girlfriend to get his pack off his back for the upcoming retreat. They feel that a single wolf cannot be a good leader. He doesn't have time to find someone to be his fake girlfriend so he goes to Fated Match.
It goes against everything Chloe believes in to find someone to pretend for him. But when he offers enough money to the agency owner she puts a good spin on it. She tells Chloe it will be enough for her to open another office and she will promote Chloe to run the one they have now.
But finding a temporary girlfriend for Kieran turns out to be not so easy. He keeps turning down everyone. Then he suggests she do it. She is about to refuse and then decides to take him up on the offer but makes it plain it is just professional.
Of course that just makes him try all the harder to seduce her. And the fact that she has to live with him during this time makes Chloe realize it will take more than her witch powers to resist him.
You are in for quite a ride with this story. The politics of the pack, his past, and her own issues make for some big bumps. By the time you get to the end you will have a satisfied smile.

Loved it!

5 stars! Loved this! No spoilers.

First things first, I love books involving shifters, mating and happy ever after. I received all three while reading this book. After reading this book now I have to go back and read the Fated Match series. It seems those two books sort of connects with this book. Can't wait to read those!

The two main characters in this book are Chloe and Kieran. Kieran is a alpha werewolf and Chloe is a witch with a full time job as a matchmaker. She's also going to reluctantly help Kieran with a problem of his. Boy was these two fun to watch. They had great believable chemistry and the sexual tension was so good. I loved that Chloe was feisty but kind. A sweetheart but definitely not a pushover. She was a great match for the dominate Kieran. Kieran was a good guy who suffered at the hands of an ex-girlfriend. She got him good. He's still not recovered and it's messing with his "relationship" with Chloe. Will Chloe stick around until he's ready? Will Kieran ever be ready? Now those are the questions.

I loved this book from beginning to end. As soon as those two met, I knew this was going to be a fun story. I was not disappointed. The little twist at the end I figured it out before it happened, but it was still good when it happened. Also a bit heart stopping for a bit. All in all excellent read with great likable characters!

Arc review

Hats off to VD for not relying on the often used true mate instinct ploy to create insta-love in the paranormal genre. I want a little suspense and time to watch the characters fall and connect on an emotional level that we human readers can understand. This story delivers just that with satisfaction.

Victoria Davies pairs Chloe from the match making agency with Kiernan, an alpha wolf looking to beat off pressure from his pack to declare a mate during a mating season. Both characters are likable, Kiernan is our bitten-now-playboy-hero, and our author executes it well enough.

Of course past loves make a reappearance when things were just getting good, and that was where it got a little predictable. I knew who that was a mile away and Chloe just seems a little clueless if she couldn't figure that one out. It was still a story I enjoyed to the end but I think overall Fiery Temptations (pairing of a witch with a dragon who crashes into her house injured) was her stronger work of the two.

The author set up some interesting characters in this that I am definitely looking forward to reading about, like Chloe's boss as well as her friend Jessica the succubus.

Chloe, a witch, works at the dating agency Fated Match. FM is for supernaturals looking for their fated mates. Kieran is a wealthy playboy werewolf who is definitely not looking for a long-term commitment. But he needs a fake mate for his pack's retreat, because his pack has been on his back about finding his mate and strengthening the pack.

Chloe is against providing a fake mate for Kieran. What's worse is that she's coerced into becoming the fake mate herself.

Although Chloe wants to keep their relationship professional so she doesn't get her heartbroken when the charade is over, sparks fly between them. They are soon falling for each other. But Kieran is still not relationship material, the elders of the pack are skeptical witch-haters, and Kieran's past haunts them. Heartbreak seems inevitable.
...
What I loved about this book is that it made me cry. A lot. It really tugged at my heart before I got to the satisfying ending. Kudos to Victoria Davies for engaging my emotions so thoroughly.

I love me a good paranormal romance and this was a great one! This is the first book that I have read by Davies but I can tell you right now that it wont be my last!
When we first meet Chloe and Kieran, its in the midst of an argument, which may not paint Kieran in the best of light. In fact, for the first couple of chapters, Kieran is a complete jerk! But then as the chapters go on and a drunken game of 20 questions, we begin to see a completely different guy. You start to find a soft spot in you heart for this big, bad werewolf just like Chloe does. Once she gets through Kierans tough exterior, Chloe realizes that not only does she have to be strong to deal with the situation that she is in but she has to now guard her heart that may be in danger of the one thing she truly wants, a mate.
This is a great romance and I cant wait for more from Davies!

I really enjoyed reading this book. The witchling and her wolf. I was simply entertained with the way Chloe would go toe to toe with Kieran. She wouldn't back down to his alphaness and even "swept" him off his feet a time or two. The magic versus Braun - loved it! They were quite humorous with their banter and quite sizzling in their physical moments. The way they were written was very nicely done. She soothed his wolf and he made her feel beautiful and like she belonged. It was a very funny, sweet, hot, friendly, sexy read. Chloe's friend Jessica was a hoot, but a tremendous friend. Vivian, although icy, was intriguing. I hope we get their stories one day.

This is one of the best PNR I have read in such a long time!!!

I love how the characters are such opposites of each other. How the big bad alpha is so righteous in what he believes and wants. All I can say to that is "Oh how the mighty fall".

The story had such good feel reading, the romance build up between the characters was just awesome. I love the fact the Kieran was not all he man and just about the sex but fought the attraction between him and Chloe. I loved that Chloe decided to to take a chance and fight for this relationship between them.

I definitely will be reading more of this author's books in this series. I can not wait to meet the other supporting characters in this book in stories of their own.

Received from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

I didn't realize that this was part of a series, but to be honest it wasn't confusing at all. Kieran was kind of cold heated at times and sweet and adoring other times. Chloe was sassy and headstrong, which I'm pretty sure makes her perfect for Kieran. I didn't like how the wolves treated Chloe simply because she was a witch. I thought that Kieran and Chloe would be great for each from the beginning, but I could tell that there was some thing that Kieran need to get over first before he could start a relationship with her.

I did like the book but I didn't think that there was much character development. But other than that it was an enjoyable read.

What a fun book. I honestly haven't read any of the other books from this series and I probably would not have read this book if it wasn't given to me but it was super cute. I enjoyed reading it and I will probably end up reading the other books once my TBR list isn't as crazy as it is right now. Some parts of it were a little cheesy and some parts of it were a little too obvious but it was still pretty good. I was a little over it towards the end. I was just wanting it to be over.

Chloe isn't like other women Kieran is used to the woman doesn't want pricey things, “if you want to do something nice for me,” she said at last, “buy some boxes of tea. I hate drinking coffee, and that’s all you have in your cupboards.” Tea. He’d tried to spend hundreds of dollars on her, and she wanted tea." I really liked this book I loved Kieran, Chloe was feisty and stood her ground.

So, so boring. Chloe is boring. I’m only on chapter seven and struggling to finish. Needless to say, I will definitely DNF this book. She is a walking contradiction. I’m not interested in whether they have an HEA because so far, the journey is boring. Kieran is equally boring. He’s the alpha of a pack that should be grateful for having a strong alpha instead of forcing him to mate. Pathetic. If he’s strong enough to lead, he should be strong enough to say no, I’ll pick my own mate when I’m ready. Definitely not a book for me.

This book had many winding twists and incredible amounts of passion. I'd recommenced this book to anyone interested in escaping reality with a beautiful fantasy world created by Victoria Davies. This was so incredible that I almost want to re-read in right after I finished it.

I liked it

I liked it but it makes me sad that as soon as they get their happy ending, the book abruptly ends. They are finally together which should be the start of something amazing but then the book ends and you get a new set of characters and a new pov. I like these two and want to stay with their story line longer.

good

Awe I really enjoyed this story. It was cute and fun and I liked the characters. However, I did not think Chloe should have gone after Kieran. He screwed up. He should have fought more. I was mad that she had to make the final chase and make him say I love u. It ruined the end for me.
