There’s a thief in New Hope. A head is missing, but not just any head, this one could lead to an even greater discovery than the Freezer. But before Jack Taggart can solve the mystery, another dastardly plot unfolds, throwing his community into chaos.
With the very fate of humankind on the line, why would anyone want to prevent Jack and the other Reborn from being a part of the solution? The answer may lie with the other community leaders - men who have lived several lifetimes in effort to keep the spark of humanity alive despite their sterility. Have so many years of experience given them the perspective required to save humankind or has it entrenched them in a path destined for destruction?
While Jack searches for answers, his friends struggle to keep their own worlds from falling apart in this epic continuation of The Genesis Endeavor.
This is not your typical post apacolipse book series!
I chose a five star rating for this book. Even though the action is non stop the characters are very believable and the premise is fresh and unexplored. I'm a new fan of David Kersten and I recommend this series highly!
I seldom think the second book is better than the first but I was pleased that it was, I enjoyed the development of the characters and the story line kept me on my toes. I also appreciate the ending of the story's leaves you wanting to read the next book but doesn't leave you hanging. Nice style.
Exciting, thought provoking, realistic and personable characters with a reasonable storyline, terrifying and tender. Just a few ways to describe this futuristic vision of earth story. All in all, an amazing read! You do not have to be a SciFi fan to enjoy this one!
This novel and the first in the series take a bit of time to build. By the end of each you can put them down. I love the vision of technology and bioethics in conflict. I can see events like this happening.
