Klaus: Defender of Children, gives a spin on the story behind the jolly father we all know and love :)
Not be taken lightly, however, this read is full of action and intrigue. We follow the tumultuous life of Klaus as he ventures away from a horrible father, loses many he loves, and must conquer villains while keeping his honour in tact. 5 stars for a quick-paced read.

Thunder and Lightning

He’s known as Klaus, the Defender of Children. He’s also proclaimed a warrior and a hero, with some calling him a saint. Working out of the monastery, he intervenes on behalf of children who are abused, saving them from violence and human trafficking.

The deer help him, especially Thunder and Lightning. They’re good listeners, not just because they can’t talk, and loyal to Klaus.

Betrayal strikes, with treachery from within the monastery. Facing an unexpected adversary, Klaus is in the fight of his life.

Good and evil clash in the wonderfully written fantasy. Author Earl Chessher is famous for his exciting Westerns and his eclectic, thought-provoking short stories. He continues to stretch his talent and his versatility as a writer with the thrilling story of Klaus.

With "Klaus, Defender of Children", Earl Chessher has written a novel in three parts that took me only two days to read. I found myself immediately pulled into the world of a boy who had to grow up to be a man too soon. Tragedy creates a, to a part, tragic hero who prevails despite his circumstances and discovers that he has been granted a gift to help him fulfill a great destiny. I was pleasantly surprised by the ending - the book's release is very fitting with the time of year. I enjoyed "Klaus" very much. It's a good, quick read for anyone who enjoys a fast-paced, action-packed fantasy fiction.
