This is a great introduction to needle lace, and great inspriation. You'll need some basic embroidery experience to get the most out of this book, but a confident beginner could still get a lot out of it. The collection of stitches and how to do them is a fabulous reference. I especially love that there's a visual stitch index in the back. I may well buy a copy of this, so I don't have to get to the library when I want to look up a stitch or browse for ideas.
